I had this back in 1996 when I was 7 years old..I still remember skin peeling and severe chest pains..Had Aspirin tablets for many months with occasional ECGs..I was lucky enough to br diagnosed early and alive today to tell the story.. Thanks to the awesome doc who coincidentally read some article about this disease and quickly identified with the symptoms I’ve presented!
Nice and informative. I would throw in liquid oral Diphenhydramine for three reasons: 1) it has a local anesthetic action to soothe oral pain, 2) it has very weak ant-serotonin activity that might help add to preventing blood clots, 3) Since this is an inflammation of the blood vessels related to an immune reaction, maybe in some misunderstood way an antihistamine could help. Maybe only the first reason is the only one that is acceptable in a scientific way.
my best friend got it, he almost died and hes at the hospital rn learning how to walk ect. i miss him sm its been 1-2 months since he havent came to school :(
Had this when I was like 4-5, I was pretty young so I cant remember my symptoms, but I do remember some early symptom I felt, my bones would ache super badly. Adding onto this, I have to get heart checkups every few years now to make sure it doesnt come back.
my child have now this kawasaki disease but the doctor said not 100% sure because all the symptoms are not present,, only high platelets 700-1,000+ and his heart artery have a small open.
@@lindaouchaou1087 Hi, I've had Kawasaki disease at 3 months, now nearing 30. In my case my arteries has been affected to my adult years with some scarring developed. My daily activities aren't much different than others but strenuous cardio activities are generally avoided unless necessary or I find that I'm able to handle it. I still go through regular checkups with MRIs and echocardiograms every other year.
I wonder if chicken pox received this much media coverage in the 80s 90s. I was a child so I don't know. I just remember my mom covering our entire bodies with Calamine lotion. We looked like ghosts. We thought it was funny.
Thanks from medical students all over the globe...❤️

I'm aware of that. My comment was pretty much comparing the amount of media coverage not the extent of each illness.
