I had the same reaction to the opening scene. As soon as I heard the Stark theme I got chills and then when we got that view of Winterfell my eyes totally welled up. So much nostalgia!

As a book reader, you probably know this, but Syrax is mother to Vermax, Arrax and Tyraxes so when Rhaenyra is mourning over the remains on the beach, Syrax is grieving the loss of her offspring as well. So damn sad.
As soon as the episode started I thought "this guy sounds like Rob and Jon"
haha right?! Can always tell it's a Stark by their voice lol
I'm also glad they toned down the murder of Prince Jaehaerys. It was still horrific and gut wrenching and I did not need it to be more graphic than it was. The main plot elements were there and that's all that was necessary.
for me it was....yawn
