I'm inspired by you to start my flower farm and I'm a couple of weeks behind already. Don't care. I'll plunge forward and grow as much as I can. Oh yeah, first I have to build the raised beds, because lots of gophers grrrr. Deterring the stupid gophers is costing me more money than I anticipated. But once I get phase one done and my flowers are growing I'll forget about all the worry. Thank you for inspiring me. OBTW, did I tell you that I'm 75 yrs old and just starting this adventure. That's because I don't feel 75. Love you.

I just started my flower farm last year....age 61 and still working full time as a CPA. Maybe I can't do it all in one year or even two, but I won't give up! Age is just a number after all!!

You would be crazy to not be overwhelmed. You are so brave in my opinion. I can totally understand being overwhelmed. I moved across country away from all my family/friends to somewhere I can afford to live while trying to start growing and selling flowers. That sneaky doubt tries to sneak in constantly. I admire you recognizing your struggles and not giving up. Prayers and hugs your way. ❤ Your family is so amazing!

No one will be disappointed in your nursery. The hard work already shows tremendously, but, more importantly your love for your community shines bright and they will beam in it.

My mom and I started a business 15 years ago, and we often butted heads because I wanted to grow it faster. She refused to take out loans, saying if you owe money, you work for the bank, not for yourself. It took a little longer, but we did get there without overextending ourselves, and you will too.
Confidence comes with experience . Don't doubt yourself. Your nursery will be as successful as your flower farm in time. You go girl!

I’ve started three business in the past 35 years. Each one of them terrified me and kept me up at night with worry. That worry is what keeps you on your toes. Take a deep breath and just remember that you are ‘growing’ a business. It takes time and can’t be done overnight.

One day at a time and good enough is good enough. This is your first year don't beat yourself up. This is my second year with my business and I do what I can off my checklist and move on. So if renovations aren't done at seed planting time then they get done in next coming winter. Good enough is good enough. Sending you peaceful vibes

The feelings you described in this video are so raw and honest, but also completely normal. Oh yeah, best advice for today's confessional is to find SOMETHING... ANYTHING you can do to carve a little time out for self-care/mental health break, everyday if you can. And something NOT flower OR business related. Something that requires you thoughts make a clean break away from the current steessors. May go a very long way to helping endure the overwhelm. 💗

When you worry about what you have to DO, think about what you've already DONE. Between the farm & the nursery you have a mountain range of accomplishments already. Rome wasn't built in a day either. You probably need a good cry, a little chocolate, some new cute sunglasses & several deep breaths of warm sunshine. Then lift that determined chin & address what needs attention most. Not everything has to be done right away. Your customers are going to understand, and will likely enjoy seeing progression every time they come in. I know I would. You have fabulous dreams. Talk to us absolutely anytime. Flowers have to slowly grow from tiny seeds till they get to their goals. You are the same, but of course! We are rooting for you all the way!
