180mm cannons would barely SHAKE a ship with the mass these capitals ships have. They weight as much as WW2 dreadnoughts, but with MUCH MUCH smaller weapons. A modern Tank has 125mm cannon, a Battleship in WW2 had 380+ mm cannons. The highfleet weapons are TINY for the mass of the ships using them.
Weird i was testing AP ammo and Proximity fuse ammo. The AP ammo performs really poorly while Proximity fuse for some reason rips Varyags and Nomads to pieces in few shots like their armor didn't matter. Also Proximity fuse has the benefit of not needing to get so dangerously close to enemies. Proximity > AP ?

Bruh, I decimate everything by the power of the 6 dual 100mm turrets. That shit is not even fair to the AI, and ammo is dirt cheap.
Why even fight? Just take 2 carriers and make all the enemy die with no even chance to hit you with bombers.+
130s with APs are surly enough to banish any ship and you can spam them on any ship. Even more effective from beneath then most guns.
It’s not about effectiveness, it’s about sending a message that only 180s AP can send

AP shells are surely effective, but I still prefer 130 mm Laser Guided, which are just tons of fun:)
