Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on Dusk (default dsp). They're the first IEM with a tuning that for me competes with the EFFP2's with your EQ profiles and there are benefits in the bass quality and sense of soundstage.
I feel the same way about the etymotic target, it's not neutral enough. It was a good thing back then before other people even.. had a target, but it's too diffuse field or something. It's better than most in ears, but it's not great, not an HD600 which already isn't completely neutral or anything. I think the diffuse field -1dB/oct is closer to neutral than harman or the etymotic target and with the brand new couplers people are using, I think it's the best way to compare on a graph what'll probably be decent
Hello Oluv! I wanted to ask you: Will you be doing a review on the HD620s? It would be cool to compare them to the 7506 and MEZE 99. Let's see if these headphones are worth the money
@@oluvsgadgets there are some generic ones; but i doubt anyone will do a comparison since most are unaware vifa helsinki is still a top contender in this sector. Nonetheless I will try and get my hands on one to test it for myself and I hope you find one for a video as well.
Thanks mr oluv , Sadly everyone (or company) , percieve sound differently let alone a neutral one , the best bet for grasping something close to the intended sound, is a neutral speaker df, i think , also i simply think hd600/58x oluv target , are the best tuned hd600/58x cans (i thought the default hd600 lack a little low end and mid to upper treble) my preference was Beyer dynamic 990 pro before , now i can't accept anything because of your efforts and your target😎 i also have a tws suggestion , it is tuned by a Grammy award sound engineer 😁 whom you might know from previous encounters, they claim it's a flat tuning ,it's not bad but not that good either, its 1 more colorbuds 2 , in their default tuning, the lows and mid lows are lacking the mids are a little too forward, and treble is somewhat off, too sharp and hollow at the same time , there is soundID from sonarworks but it doesnt do anything good but with third party EQ Program i was able to achieve a somewhat acceptable sound (to my ears), anyways , well done and thanks
Hi Oluv. I got a question for you regarding your target. If I equalize one of the headphones that you use for your target (whether it’s the HD600 or HD58X) to your target, will my headphones sound like your reference KH80 speakers?
have u had chance to try moondrop chu 2 ? cheap iems 20€ tuned close to Harman Target really good cheap iems with removable cable also ,i love them don't need EQ for me would like ur view on them

Oluv, i have a question.. why have you put your review on the new minirig 4 behind a paywall? I spoke to minirig and they told me a review unit was sent to you???? I understand stuff you have payed for to go behind your paywall but why stuff you got for free?
from my many years of experience with iems, dynamic drivers always sound nicer. It makes me sad that my most favourite iems are not available anymore, Fiio EX1 II, and mine are almost dead, because of the old cable. And of course i don't mean their default sound, but custom parametric eq profile. Like this they beat all my other iems, thanks to semi-open design.
Hey Oluv, Your ear canal response is quite strange in that it differs to most other responses I've seen. Your presence region "lump" is somewhat delayed, beginning at 1.5kHz instead of the usual 1kHz. Because of that "delay" the steepness of the rise is very steep to achieve the required boost at about 2kHz. I wonder if that is the reason you find fault with the majority of headphone / earphone you test. How might we measure our own ear canal response ? I might like to try this if it is simple and does not requires specialist equipment.
it differs as it's achieved with real ears and not some couplers. I just measured the final response with couplers. and no, it's not just my ear, my custom tuned Free Pro 2 for other users gets lots of praise, thus all the other responses you have seen are simply wrong.
@@oluvsgadgets Oluv, as much as I like your reviews - this huge mountain in ear gain region in your target is not right. Even in harman target +10 dB ear gain is crazy, all harman tuned IEM's are shouty. Yes for some people it works fine, but if you look at most praised IEM's on the market - Thieaudio Hype 4, Zigaat Doscinco, Cincotres, Hiseniour Mega5Est - they all tuned differently, to IEF neutral target with bass boost, or close to BadGuy target. . These targets have around +7 dB ear gain and it allows to listen those IEM's on higher volumes, so vocals still sound good but also you hear more 300-1000 Hz, more "body" in the sound as audiophiles say. Many people praise those IEM's and they also cannot be mistaken
@@oluvsgadgets I think thos guy was right - your ear canal is different. I can say, that my left and right ears are very different. Whatever IEM's a take - my left ear hearing area around 1500 Hz +3-4 dB louder than right, around 2750 Hz it's opposite - my right ear louder than left. The same for high frequencies starting at 6500 Hz to 16000 Hz, my left and right ear never hear the same even on the graph both channels equal. So I always have to use 2 channel EQ or any IEM's for me sounds like crap
Why doesnt Oluv allow comments anymore in new videos? Edit: Ah, in JBL video he says why in comments. Oluv, remember to say this also in other videos. Otherwise looks fishy :D
sorry you didn't like it. I myself have bought a few iems since your last iem review and i myself not really satisfied with the sound. so far the most impressive is kz pr2 planar iem but you have to use an amplifier and reverse the polarity of cables by unpluging connector cable from iem and pluging it back in by turning 180 degrees. I think kz put wrong polarity to avoid them sounding very good. they always do it. it's a weird company like that. and may be cover the hole at the tip but it can distort if too loud but for most listening volumes is ok. a few very good sounding iems too like crinacle zero thruthear is certainly an impressive iem, if they also had a sparkle balanced armature knowles in nozzle it would be fully balanced by for me sparkle is a bit so so. but iem in general sounds like someone is pushing detail in your ear canals with a pump.
