    In fact, it is impossible to fully copy the Bose sound using an equalizer. Bose uses harmonic generation based on the original signal, and this produces a different result than simply boosting the entire low-frequency region with an equalizer. Moreover, harmonics also provide greater energy efficiency; we do not amplify the entire bass, but generate a little new one. That's why Bose speakers hold their charge so well.
    P.S. To be honest, when buying acoustics from a company, I want to immediately get a good sound and please myself, and not like with Chinese acoustics - I bought them and tinkered with the equalizer to make them sound normal. But they are cheaper, I can’t argue with that!

    Hello Oluv, do you think you could review Harmon Kardon's new Go+Play 3?
    I love their Go+Play 2 and received many compliments on it. People seem to love the sound signature and power from such a portable yet elegant speaker. I used to work in the electrical trade and would take the speaker with me when wiring new construction homes. It would easily fill a two-story house with wonderful sound. To me, the Go+Play 2 has been my favorite portable speaker because it deliver wonderful sound with ease and does not seem to sacrifice sound quality at higher volumes. Thanks!

    • @Jimdimmer
      @Jimdimmer Місяць тому

      The problem for me with the Go+Play 2 was the lack of equalizer. Not very practical when you live in a communal building and want to watch media through it, as the bass is ground shaking and easily heard from the floor below. WIth that aside the sound is legendary!

    The main issue with the very nice Bose are the midlevels. With some tracks the leading melodic mids will stay on background. With this issue in mind I select the tracks playing with the soundlink mini 2. (I own Bose since day one release of the soundlink mini ¹gen). Recently i have bought the Soundcore as a nice additional upgrade next to the Bose mini. Just pick the one I need "day by day". Soundcore is my first step away from Bose portable speakers.

    The Bose needs to be reset by holding the power button down for ten seconds. It will sound much better if you do this before listening every time. Also the battery probably needs to be replaced to hear it at maximum performance. I have the soundlink mini original and use it over the MINIRIGs and soundcore motion boom and it sounds amazing when it performs properly.

      I really wonder what you used for listening. The Anker already sounds way better with its default settings although they are actually bad, but I tried to recreate the flaws of the Bose including the strong treble roll off it could have been easily made to sound much better but my purpose was to make it rather sound bad just like the Bose, although it’s impossible to copy all those flaws including the ringing treble and mushy imprecise bass.

    I have Sony XB41, the bass is better, but otherwise everything else is muffled comparing to motion 300, I've recently bought another motion 300, gReen is right channel, bLue is left channel, first you must do the pairing, which is easy, then turn on, it pairs automatically, you can use controls on each to control the other, they both work as one, turn off one, the other one turns off as well, everything works as it's supposed to, love it, no hassle, haven't used my Sony since, music should be listened in stereo, not to mention the price of 2 was less than one Sony, the sound is big, it doesn't have the lights, but buttons are back lighted, big plus, especially in dark room, all customisable via app, usb-c, yes, on Sony is different cable, uf, why? Who cares, Motion 300 goes where I go, both of them, I kinda enjoying and exploring music more with these 2 babies...🎉😊

    For its size, the Bose is solid - I'm biased, as I bought one. Obviously it's not the best speaker I've ever heard, but the sound you can get out of a box that small is still fantastic. It's literally half the height of the Soundcore, and it looks much, much better too. Half the size helps for its most obvious use case - a travel speaker. But certainly it's also a fine speaker for casual music in a room if it's all you have. Battery life is also solid all-day, and you can buy replacement batteries and give them new life once the battery wears down.

    Yeah but most of these small speakers are useless, I was looking for a small speaker to also have aux in to connect my akai mpc stand and the only thing that was good and exist was the bose, it has plenty of bass like a big speaker. and the volume is more than enough for me if you are in a house or indoor.
    And you know the Bose will last longer, very durable, I even bought other few small speaker with aux in plus bluetooth, even with the their aux in there is latency...ie delay.....and the new bose small speaker is too ugly with the weird roundish shape, and it also doesnt have aux in.
    Until I heard about Minirig, but the soundlink here is stereo you can really hear left right signal.
    and real bass that is big, which is has more hi frequency to balance it out.
    But for the size the bigness of the sound is unbelievable, remember its smaller yet with aux in and battery last forever, i charge mine maybe sometimes a whole week before I remember to charge.
    some reviews are really not telling you the reality.
