Thanks kids, amazing memories brought back from Tunnel Creek, I was there in 2012 and there is a waterfall in the middle of the cave that feeds the creek. The white hue in the rocks at windjana gorge is the high water mark when in flood.
That's Normal weather for us down in Victoria. The weather changes so quickly. It can be 35 degrees and with in 2 minutes a weather front gets blown in and it's exactly the same as what you're seeing at the beginning of the video inside the gorge. I have been up a North a few times and this weather always makes me feel like I'm there again.
That was only a couple of little storms. Part of the build up. The real stuff normally kicks in later. You saw a little storm at Windjanna for about 15 minutes. When it gets real it is like that little storm plus a few extra grades for about 2 to 3 days. It is amazing, powerful, awesome, scary and fantastic all at once. Anywhere flat floods. For kilometres and kilometres. I was in the Tanimi Desert in my Landcruiser and it was flooded out beyond the horizon in all directions, but it was only about 100 mm deep. It's a great country.
What you are experiencing is the build-up to the wet. The big wet starts in January, and you will not travel in the big wet as most if not all, roads will be closed for up to 4 months
On the freshwater and Salties not being together that isn’t completely correct. Salties and freshwater crocs are found in waters together. Please dont get complacent and think if freshies are around salties are not. There are of course area freshies are that salties aren’t. But never assume just because freshies will not be salties.

It's not the wet yet. The wet starts after Christmas, you can't travel the Gibb when it starts, it's impassable.
