Your observations about Eramis is on point. She doesn't like working under the Witness, and can clearly see the devastation that has on her House, but she's so consumed by vengeance against the Traveler for abandoning her people and world that she cannot think otherwise. When she describers her fallen comrades who are risen as Scorn, she's basically telling every Eliksni under her command that we kill will be resurrected as zombies by the witness, both a 'gift' and a punishment for Eramis' failure.
For the sake of the Destiny community, I would like to know what bungie was thinking when they were having Eramis double down with the Witness and *Friends* .
@@feralprocessor9853 Fear? The demon you know, better than that you don't? Darkness corruption coupled with extremism literally making so she can't see when she's gone too far or recognizing she's wrong? The Witness being one of the most powerful antagonists in fiction outside of certain anime and comics, Oryx was a god in every sense of the word and we killed him early in our careers as Guardians, to the Witness he was like a pet. Calus' motivation for joining the Witness now that they've finished Lightfall is literally was that his be the LAST thing in the universe before dying, not to save himself, he just wanted to be the last to go. That's how strong her master is, the Witness is just about omnipotent and has been committing mass-genocide for eons across the universe before Eliksni or humanity evolved into intelligence. Realistically, I don't think there is much of a choice in the matter for her. (I also think they never meant to bring her back after Beyond Light, not until Mithraxx was revealed so they brought her back to develop him and the Eliksni plotline and then shuffled her away when they were done with her).
You were spot on with Eramis. The fallen boss near the beginning was a boss in the beyond light story. He does die, but comes back as Scorn. Undead Eliksni slaves to the Witness. Eramis's burden and remorse is very visible in her voice, because she knows the Witness doesn't really care if her people live or die in this war of Light and Dark. Cause the Witness can always bring them back as scorn
Straight away, a lil reminder that Elise Bray is a Timetravaler. Makes sense for anyone at large to call her the Exo Stranger, She most likley knows them but they don't know the girl that knows exactly what questions you're gonna ask. Ground hogday style.
Robo dog is named Archie. And yes you can pet him. They also sold a plushie of Archie which I am happy to report is sitting at my house. He did not go away after the season either. They change up the helm after each big expansion. You can now find him hanging out in the tower. Even those who didn't get to play this season can find Archie on the tower and pet him. Archie is the robot we need in the difficult times and he is there for all guardians. You're almost a year out from catching up to Destiny's current story. I would love to see you actually play Final Shape. It's such a good campaign and such a great send of to the main 10 year story for Destiny, but of course the choice is up to you. Though I do wonder... what guardian would you make?
So we would be allowed to just jump in and play Final Shape at that point? I guess that makes sense so game is always accesible but it just feels like we would get owned playing the last expansion 😅🤔
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Well, there is a bit of a learning curve, but just know that all of us, even vets, got owned at the end. Mostly because we played the legend version which is much tougher. You can always hop in and play as a new guardian right now on the free to play version of the game and start unlocking stuff and powering up. Sadly though, Strand and Stasis are locked behind the paid content of Beyond Light, the Eramis introduction on Europa, which you have seen. And Lightfall, which you are about to see after this current season is done.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Once you get through all of Lightfall and its content. Then.. Yes. You could do that, it is possible to finish the game on standard difficulty with what you gain as a New Light. If need be, recruit some guardians from the community to assist. Under the presumption that they do not rush through all the content and stick lock step with you. But it may be less stressful to watch the story.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames I'm a pretty new player, only been playing around four months. The Final Shape was the first expansion I played through. It was definitely rough trying to do some parts of it while still learning the game (I had many ignominious deaths because I hadn't fully worked out how the warlock glide ability works), but I made it through ok.
It may seem odd that Rasputin is at a loss for what to do against Xivu Arath but honestly? Its Wargames but worse for them. 1. Use his full power against the Wrathborn, which will allow Xivu to summon her full force and invade Earth, just through target oversaturation, Rasputin would be unable to fight back. And if Xivu herself showed up? Which is very possible... any thing you do against her would only empower her. 2. Do nothing, the Wrathborn will slowly overcome the Last City. 3. Create a stalemate, an everlasting war that slowly builds in power over time because like Osiris said, for each Wrathborn they slay, 2 pop up in their place. Same problem as 1. Its actually a very cleverly written master plan by Bungie.
Gotta love a war crime (the guardian fake surrender.) I just notice that most of the things i enjoy have an overwhelming amount of warcrimes. A few notes i do want to note about this video. Note 1: The dog towards the end of the video it requires a very long and tedious process to acquire it. But a funny thing that some people were able to realize if more than one person intracts with the dog it causes a weird visual glitch. Note 2: During the exotic mission elsie (exo stranger) told the guardian to jump. You have to land on a very small platform. Note 3: you also said that Eramis sounded tired and hallow which is fair. She watched her friends die only to be reborn and become more animal. In the previous video i dont remember if you heard but Elise (or mara) noted that the scorn on the moon were recently made. Meaning something was making new scorn. What i think is that the witness made new scorn not a promise but as punishment for not acquiring the relics of Nezerac from the previous season. Note 3: dont know if you remember but during D1 Rise of iron at the tomb when the guardian fought corpses of the iron lords Lord Felwinter was one of the corpses they had to fight. (Believe he was the first one where he drops the iron axe) Note 4: Mara said to Eramis about how both of them lost who they were. A sister (Mara) and a mother (eramis) In Lore Eramis had a daughter who she left to find a place to call home. We do not know where this daughter is at. All of those aside this season was a fun season. Cant wait for your reaction to the finale of this season.
What's crazy is that we still don't know where Clovis's message went or to whom. We went to Europa recently and there was no mention of what Clovis did still. I'm hoping that comes back
Red can been seen as hero and a monster for how he try fight the pryminds and he did killed the iron lords but in the end let’s end this talk in part 3 👍🏻
hey guys, off topic comment but league had their championship finals a week ago and they had an amazing opening ceremony which was basically a concert and theatrical and think it'd make a great reaction vid :D Keep up the great content!
To be honest I would just go back to using Destin, he is the most comprehensive that I’ve seen for these seasonal recap videos and he just posted a bunch for Lightfall and its seasons
This season actually upsets me, slightly of course, for the small reason that they cut of Clovis way to much. They're is so many interesting voicelines that are said from clovis and then bam cut off. But i get it no fancy science speak in my shooty game. I guess

Consumed by vengeance 😢 usually we love a good revenge story but there almost always is a dark side to it

Definitely my favorite season and I love the family dynamic between the bray's. Thank you for experiencing this amazing story.

I'm upset that Evaze didn't show the spacewalk.

yeah Lord Felwinter sounded familiar but couldn't remember where we had seen/met him before so makes sense it was way back in D1 😅

Xi Ro cares not where the blood comes from but only as long as it flows.
Mara Sov always nails the delivery, she is destiny’s best character for me. Her voice actress is phenomenal!
That'd be Kirsten Potter, who also plays Tae Takemi in vanilla Persona 5.
Right off the bat, Ana Bray's new beginning as a risen lightbearer.
