Use Vaseline or super lube grease. The wd40 don’t hang they’ll squeak the next year. A dab of grease and they’ll be squeak free till you break the handle off

Yes! Griff’s Rod is made for a Schooley Reel. This Reel is a true 1 x 1 great ratio and because of the way it sits you have literally no line twists, and it allows for micro finesse movements. It’s for tough bites. It also is SO fun to catch them this way.

LOL The Rusty Nail formally The old Brick Inn,.. Back in the day when we were young "The mid 80s" we drank a tanker load of brew there, music there on Sat nights in the summer. Battle lake to Perm along highway 78 had a lot to offer young people as far as "establishments" during the summer for fun . Pier 38, Greystone, The otter, The beaver trap...It was a blast, party till 1.30 am head back to the cabin on Rush, fish with hangers till noon get feeling good...Repeat. lol.
Ive been on that super light bite for the last month and a half here in Iowa where the "pressure" of my rod tip just changes a tiny bit -been trying to feel a bite like that from a moving kayak -freaking hard. I'll definitely be well trained to feel that kinda bite when we finally get ice down here -if we ever get ice..

why put fish on the ice for a while, then kick it back in the hole? Most of what I read and see, says to return as soon after the picture is taken. Poor fish handling IMO. 👎
