I've seen A LOT of DIY Infinity Mirror projects on youtube. This is BY FAR the best one I've seen. That table is PERFECT for the project. Thanks for posting this!
This nice but the only is the wiring and have to be walking over. May making coffee table or night lamps. Or have rechargeable batteries on it since leds don't need a lot of power to turn them on. Idk I'm just saying it as an idea.
Best takeaway idea from this video is that the Ikea table top is hollow. It seems obvious, and common knowledge if you have ever picked one up, but until you see one cut open like this it isn't clear whether what's inside is easily removable and cleanly modifiable. So, thanks for that. These kinds of table tops would make a great base for some other projects. It would fit an LCD monitor nicely (for a MAME table, etc) or possibly a large "shadow box" frame.
Well, if you're ballsy enough, you can make your own cheap table from the ground up. I use Kreg hardware jigs which makes things a lot easier. The sky is the limit when it comes to your designs. Most cheap tables are made of cheap white pine press-board. You could use that or actual pine or some other wood.
I thought it might be better to get a black version of the table and get a glass top that covers the whole of the table top. Would make the table last a lot longer as wood wouldn't be exposed to moisture and such
Very nice. As a woman for a cleaner neat looking appearance I might have chosen to mount the power strip on the underside of the table top but that is just my preferance. Thank you for sharing!
That was truly dope. The style of recording, the music, the project. That was dope stuff. The room looked dope. The blue behind the t.v. , the coffee table. Very chill man.
Amazing build man! There’s a few things I would do a little differently tho. For example I would use some sort of staple to staple the led strip to the wood in case it became loose since the tape on those aren’t the best quality, second I would put a little bead of caulk around the top of the tape where the glass and the actual table meet just to water proof it in case of spills, dust, etc. And third I would build a little box to house all the wires and boxes on the bottom of the table just so you wouldn’t have to worry about all that falling down overtime. But other than that amazing job man can’t wait to build one soon!

Definitely a must do and must own, but i need to have the time, the will, tools, skills, stuff and an old table to be to do that. I really freaking damn want one.
My grandmother had one that I got but I guess you can either buy in a shop or in a yard sale? I had to cut mine out a bit but I left that out of the video since there are many videos on how to cut up glass
Get 2 pieces of glass cut to the size you want. Just as an additional step paint the bottom of the table black before you place the bottom peice down. Instant mirror. Not quite the same but I'd imagine good enough for this kind of project
Definitely clever and looks cool, but knowing how flimsy and cheap those tables are, and with the additional weight of the mirror, wooden frame and the glass, I'd be scared to fart next to it without it falling to pieces

I’ve been looking at DIY projects for a while now and this is the first project I’m actually looking at attempting. One slight change. I’m actually going to be using Phillips’s Hue LED strips instead so I can control it all from my phone.
This is actually amazing ! Literally going to make a run to ikea tomorrow to start this project. Thank you for the inspiration. Do you mind posting a link to the LED’s that you used ?
I think you can use pretty much any strip these days, the prices are competitive if you shop around various stores, or even cheaper order from Chinese commerce sites, and they often can cycle through flashing patterns. It doesn't seem like this project needs fancy requirements. But you can get programmable strips if you do want to have more control, and ones with a black background would be a bonus.
Very nice table my friend. I have an old coffie table made from indian shesham wood abd i mite use this design as i have so dark tinted glass aswell. Just need to get a mirror the same size now. Well done.
Thanks a lot! What I did was to get a cheap mirror and cut it out to the size of the glass. It was very simple but I decided not to recor dthat since there are so many videos on how to do it already. Good luck with your table :)
fantastic table. What would be the best see-through percentage for the solar film ? about 25% ? I guess 10% would be too much and would cause the "bottom" rows to become less visible ?
Love this product you’ve made. Its absolutely what i wish to have in my room, also if i have some money I would have ordered touch screen and installed it for any device around me that i want to control like lights or tv or anything that has software in it. Good job my friend keep it up
You can control/automate many available LED strips like this with your smart phone or other hub. Imagine also adding sensors so it would respond to proximity or other variables. Electronics stores have all this kind of thing.
This is very cool! I'm not handy with tools but I'm sure I could give it my best shot! I personally would rather let someone more experienced make this, and I would buy it.
Nice one. I would go for led strip in black colour (black strip or just white paineted dark) so there you can see only led dots with no white strip. But still great job mate.
@@Sohail410_ I know he tinted, but still you can see the led strip when it's ON. You can see it at 0:05 - first two lines with visable strip. When you use black strip ypu wont see led strip just led dots ;) I made one at home and I'll try to show it later.
Great cept the cable management. All that work. Why not put the plug underneath, run the cable down the leg(if you're lazy since you could drill down the leg to hide) so it's cleaner and you can put stuff on mid shelf without that ugly plug. Though I get it if it was for a quick build DIY type thing
Looks great, thanks for the really clear video! Just been looking into programmable Wifi etc controlled LED strips with Arduino etc, this would be a great candidate to apply it to, especially as you can get black strips which would make it blend it in even more! My kids and I love infinity mirrors and this is definitely inspiring for us. Thankyou.
I love how you did this with minimal tools. I have a full set up in my shop and would definitely love to build something like this
Use a straight edge. Takes 30 sec to put it in place.
You raise the game to a higher level. The price of project is more expensive than whole table. Bravisimo 👏

Thanks for the nice comment! Absolutely, you could also make some storage inside the table ;) the options are many!
Since it’s hollow how much weight can it take? I’m afraid the mirror & glass would one day just burst out from the bottom 😱

Im building it right now. Whats the issue? I just have to instal the led and top glass on
the hardest parts would be cutting the table top and getting a clean and straight line and have he glass fit very snuggly around the frame.

This is SOFA KING COOL
This is very cool! I'm not handy with tools but I'm sure I could give it my best shot! I personally would rather let someone more experienced make this, and I would buy it.
Looking lovely 😊
But .... mate get a pilot drill bit for your nails
Nice one. I would go for led strip in black colour (black strip or just white paineted dark) so there you can see only led dots with no white strip.
But still great job mate.
Lord Vargorek he tinted the glass with solar film - you can’t see it
@@Sohail410_ I know he tinted, but still you can see the led strip when it's ON. You can see it at 0:05 - first two lines with visable strip. When you use black strip ypu wont see led strip just led dots ;)
I made one at home and I'll try to show it later.
Well done! Like! Subscription!
Btw, what kind of controller was used for that running lights effect?
Where did you buy the mirror?
Thank you very much, good person.
A Very, very, very helpful video👍
You should have painted the led strip black aswell.
You can buy black LED strips
Or just use black electric tape and cover the parts that's not lights but I still like the work he did
You could see the difference? I didn't notice
always someone that wants it done better .....fuck off,.
Good job 👍👏 the table looks nice
PSA: The music used here is much better at 2x speed.
You just pointed out facts 👍
Oh damn, he rite
Great cept the cable management. All that work. Why not put the plug underneath, run the cable down the leg(if you're lazy since you could drill down the leg to hide) so it's cleaner and you can put stuff on mid shelf without that ugly plug.
Though I get it if it was for a quick build DIY type thing
Table: exists
Power surge: I’m about to end this whole mans career
Looks great, thanks for the really clear video! Just been looking into programmable Wifi etc controlled LED strips with Arduino etc, this would be a great candidate to apply it to, especially as you can get black strips which would make it blend it in even more! My kids and I love infinity mirrors and this is definitely inspiring for us. Thankyou.
