Nice one Andy and Mitch. The more you mod, the more I’m liking the ID Buzz! Went and looked at a yellow one at the VW dealer and was impressed - just need a second mortgage to afford one…! 😳🤣
Loving this van. Love the modifications and can't wait to see it on air. I've seen a couple in the flesh, and I'm a fan. Personally I'm into the murdered out look, and have seen an all black Buzz, which looked mint
Looks awesome, but, hydrogen vehicles only use the hydrogen to convert the gas to electricity to charge a battery to power a motor. Sound familiar but without the hydrogen fuel cell costs??
@@THQAutomotive with the 2030 deadline looming, in the UK, EU and USA as well as a good few others, they don’t have much choice. Not going to build new car factories and battery plants for nothing. If they’re not on the bandwagon by now they might get left out! Where’s Nokia, Blackberry etc now the IPhone came out?
I prefer this the the T7, but there’s always gonna be polarised views as the transporter is so well established. 100% looks better after the THQ touch tho 🤙🏻
Mate, is it possible, and if so legal, to install the bench seat from the ID Buzz Cargo in a regular ID Buzz? Where does one get hold of the ID Buzz seats in the first place?
Awesome work. Simple question for you, but a challenge for me: how did you replace the front and rear logo? Front seems clipsed, I already broke a snapfit by just looking at it. Rear one is even a bigger question mark to me
@@THQAutomotive way more expensive! We bought an ID3 last year and everyone said they are too expensive but a similar spec Golf was more expensive in the same showroom! We payed £29990 after discount and Golf rrp was £31000. GTi top spec was £44000
@@kinross24 I'm super tempted my a Cupra Born for the wife after using the ID-Buzz. Not sure sure we're ready for house hold with no combustion engine 🤔
@@THQAutomotive we were the same and my wife hung on to her Yaris but after traveling all at oh no Scottish highlands with the two dogs in my EV, a 2020 Ioniq electric that’s max range is only 190 miles and gets this easy in summer, or much more, and 160 in summer, she had a drive in it and when home went straight into nearest VW and tested the ID3. She’s got the 58kw battery and has a 1hr motorway commute to work in Motherwell from Kinross and manages easily, gets the predicted 260mile range. We both charge at home and mostly from our solar and battery storage so drive for free mostly, on sunshine. It’s great always having a ‘full tank’ every morning!! She had a 2022 Golf as a courtesy car last month while hers was getting software updates and said it was like hell to drive. Her words were ‘like going back 100 years’! We’ve don’t the NC500 with ease, Heart200, NE250. And each week there’s more, many more chargers added. Our daughter loved to gift of a free Yaris btw, but is on the ID3 insurance so loves it and hope her mum gets a new car soon! I love my Ioniq. Nick named ‘the wind knife’ in ev world because it’s so efficient. Go for it!
You have done an excellent job with this, it looks fantastic. I’m only disappointed with VW’s execution of the van. The underlying technology was obsolete before the Buzz made it off the drawing board, VW have moved at a glacial pace with this product. This is so sad because there is so much love and good will for their historical products. I have no doubt if this van had a real world range of 300 miles in all conditions, over the air updates and a GUI that worked as it should there would be plenty of love for the Buzz. VW signed a deal this week with Chinese Auto companies Xpang and Saic for over €700,000,000 for the Chinese to supply and build power trains, batteries and software for VW & Audi to rebadge as their own vehicles. With Croatian company Rimac Automobile providing the batteries, power trains and software for the Porsche EVs VW’s surrender is complete. I wonder what will happen with the next generation of vans?
Like the colour you picked looks much nicer now….From the front it is one ugly duckling, but the side and rear view is actually not bad looking. Like the plans you guys have for it, if there’s anyone to develop parts for it, it’s you guys. Will watch what you do to it with interest and maybe my mind will change, but for now, they’re not for me…..I was toying with buying one but the whole electric thing and the cute and cuddly look of the Buzz is a bit twee for my taste….. it’s just not as tough and menacing looking as a Transporter done right. Nice work though fellas! 🫡👍
Great video , I have an ID buzz cargo , in black it’s super stealth! Did you measure the drop of the springs? Im considering getting some , watching the series with interest 👍🏻🤟 Btw I see lots of comments about silly prices , the cargo is waaay cheaper and actually not that much different
The cargos seem great value to me. Do you still get the £5k government grant? The springs only gave a 30mm drop. Our Eibach / Solow collaboration will be lower and our coilovers lower again. I'd really like a black cargo myself. Maybe the next one.
@@THQAutomotive yes the cargo is a commercial vehicle so vat qualifying and 5k government grant (which kind of feels like your robbing the government! ) I paid 34 in the end with only 2 options, black with body coloured bumpers and the inverter. It’s till comes as standard with things like heated seat led headlights and all the screens.
Screams iron man. Red and gold. That would look mental.
Haha, tempting 🤔 maybe on the next one 🤪
Will look and perform amazingly. The Buzz has so much more character than most vans! Looking forward to the next video. 👍🏻
The next stage is there it gets really good. Air suspension and Navis wheels 😍
Look8ng forward for the video about the 5 things you hate about the buzz, and since you re at it, 5 things you love about it
Great idea 😊
So for so good, can't wait to see what else is coming.
Next are all the sexy bits 😜
another good video like the colour mix looks great and news on the caddy everyone have a good weekend 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌
We're just waiting on a final window version for the caddy. Hope you're enjoying the sunshine 😊

I really wanted all black put couldn't get the spec I wanted when the order book was first opened. Maybe next time.
Fantastic, always enjoy your videos. The BUZZ is a good looking thing. Cheers from OZ.
Thanks for your kind words 😊
Like the colour combo
It was just too yellow before. I'm so pleased with the grey over yellow finish
Looks mint the grey & yellow 👍😎
Thank you, I'm really pleased with the outcome. The video doesn't do it justice, it looks even better in real life 😍
Hi Andy I enjoyed this video thank you 🙌 also I collect my t5 from Paint-Worx today on your recommendation in a previous video full colour change 🙌
Is yours the stunning green mid top?
Love em but the price is absolutely crazy!! Mods look great
They are expensive, but then isn't everything nowadays 😔
Love this, perfect split colour wise and anyone thinking Hydrogen is the future has clearly never used it. 😂
Love it, looking forward to episode 2 👌🏻
It'll be even better I promise
Why not do the front hatch grey as well? It would really show the swoop in the swage line above the front wheels.
I just wanted to try something different. I may add it at a later date. I'll see after the air, wheels and body styling is added
This looks awesome! Can't wait for Stage 2 🤙🤙
That'll be the fun bit where the big changes come 😊
Nice. Love your work Andy 🙌🏼
Thank you Sir 🙏
First time I saw a picture I hated it. The first time I saw one in the flesh I instantly wanted one.
I felt the same if i'm honest. Now every time i look at ours, it makes me smile :)
Got a Buzz, love it. Improvements look good. The future is definitely electric. No future in hydrogen for transport. It’s way to inefficient.
Pleased to hear you're enjoying yours. I really think VW have done a great job with it.
Yeah love that 😍 👏🏼
You wait until you see what we do next 😜

Interesting. T6 with ID Buzz motor, battery and charge speed would be an instant winner. I wonder if thats in the works.
The T6.1 replacement will come as a full electric option for sure.

Hello, I've not seen that done yet but I have seen Rusty Lee make a rear set for the cargos.
Really lovin it😎
So am I ☺️
Wow ❤
The black grille reminds me of the Golf W12-650. Anyone remember that thing?
Yeah I remember, what a weapon
The van is looking great, but where did the epic moustache go!.😮
It had to go in this summer heat 😔 no doubt it'll be back next winter ☺️

They break, we had to buy new ones.
Oh.. Thanks 😳👍... Good to know 😅
Im looking forward to the one that runs on air as fuel
Maybe one day 🤷🏻♂️
Wow lookin good.....
Plenty more to come 😊
On cost have you seen the price of a new good spec caravell these days, then cost of running?
I haven't looked into it no. I guess a high spec caravelle is similar to the Buzz?
