Ranger John Hoptak did a good job on this one. I watch another Wheatfield tour he did were every movement was preluded each units full designation. that took more time to say than the actual movement. I've heard the miscommunication of Roberts men 4 or 5 times and Hoptak's explanation this time put it all together. His whole explanation put the Wheatfield in text. A complicated event put in a understandable way. at least for me.

Thanks for mentioning Little Round Top at 55.00. Its good to hear what was going on in other parts of the battlefield, at that minute.

Hi, John Hardtack. At 34:35 you said, "This is the farthest west we will go." I heard Bill Howes say, "Good. I'm tired". Don't listen to anything he says. He was sitting in an easy chair viewing this on uTube. He is a wise ass. -Sir Lord William Howes. By the way. You do a good job explaining this complicated "Wheatfield" Battle.

Sounds like Grand Central Station at rush hour in that field, Almost as if everyone was just passing through on their way to somewhere else.

Gen. Sickles move helped BLUNT the attack by Gen. Longstreet, end of story. Gen. Meade SHOULD have beefed up his LEFT FLANK and NOT LEFT it to Gen. Sickles. Sickles FIXED a Gen. Meade screwup.

Dan Sickles movement is like getting hit in the head with a bat and breaking the bat with your head😂. It's was an asinine movement..... But it worked lol.

Too many numbers, too many names. Refocus on what was happening.

Those are part of what was going on, dumbass. Vast NUMBERS of people were dying, and those people had NAMES.

I couldn't keep up either and I would have been disappointed if I could. The information crammed into these two hours greatly exceeded my saturation point. I'll just have to watch it again and read some more and watch some other ones until I can digest it all. Excellent Job, Ranger Hoptak.

Best way to understand these walking tours is having battle maps in hand to refer to while the ranger describes what's happening where you're standing or watching on UA-cam.
