Not to mention the amount of space that he created for Reijnders in Milan’s second goal. Pulisic drew so many defenders to him as he ran through the box that Reijnders had a really open shot. Edit: spelling to fix autocorrect
@@mattbrunguyen yup and well said. It was basically tap in for reijnders. Not sure how kush missed those key analytics. But i think other players will need to feed him the ball more as he was waving his hand and making a run every time.
Yeah, not sure how he missed that. Especially what @mattbrunguyen pointed out. Reminds me of Milan’s win against Udinese. In the beginning of the game you could see Pulisic pointing forward quite a lot. Telling his teammates to press forward which none of them really did. When the ball eventually came to him, Pulisic kicked it beyond the halfway line. Which shifted the attacking play forward. You can see he tries.
@@mattbrunguyen I think that's kinda what he meant when he spoke about taking off RLC and moving Pulisic over to center. he didn't specifically call out those examples, but that's the moment CP started having more direct impact on the game.

I really like this guy's videos, he's very clinical and I like how he takes notes through the game. He's much better than almost all Italian AC Milan "UA-camrs".
The same person signed Emerson though and gave away Saelemaekers, Kalulu, Adli, Pobega and D.Maldini for peanuts, all of them to other Serie A clubs. So while Tijj and Puli have been great, the overall record is not that great.
@joshualarsen3301 Yeah Maldini just got us Theo Hernandez, Rafa Leao, Mike Mignian, Tomori, Tonali, Bennacer, Thiaw, Kjaer, Ibra, Kalulu, 1 scudetto and ucl semi final etc... but let's flame him and put the blame on him for getting de kaetalare right 😅
But man does Pulisic look to be a man on mission this year! The consistency he’s playing at game in & game out is amazing & as an American is wonderful to witness. As crazy as it sounds this season looks to be WAY BETTER personally & statically than his great season last year(career year) & that’s saying something. Pulisic is currently on pace for 45+ goal contributions in all competitions those are Ballon D’Or numbers!
an american winning ballon d'or would be crazy and unexpected, but we all know how ballon d'or works, they choose who they like more instead of who actually deserves it🙄😒 anyways i hope pulisic actually will win some good individual trophies like golden boots and player of the month, ecc.
@@lorenz178 I think he could win it. But the thing is the team he’s on has to perform well too. So if Pulisic put up the numbers and was the leading force for the team Milan would still have to win the scudetto & Champions League for him to even be in consideration if I were to guess.
Lets not forget that Rafa even mentioned that he loves to play with Pulisic at the 10. Once RLC is dropped and Pulisic is in the midfield the numbers for Rafa will start to show.
Nah it would be worse to not have your main scorer at the frontline.. rafa just aint it.. pulisic should drop to defense when needed and being more of an attacking player.. mfs want rafa so bad but it hasnt been working this whole year
We need to stop making excuses for Rafa at this point. He's been awful. On majority of the attacking phases, he's plays the ball back to the midfield or fullback instead of attacking the box. With his pace and dribbling abilities, every attacking phase with his ball at the feet, we should be getting chances at the goal, whether by him or created for others. He is an attacking winger. ATTACK THE DEFENDERS. Look at Vini for real. 95% of the attacking phases, he goes directly at defenders. It's exhausting to play against him because he constantly has one thing on his mind, attack and score. Rafa, has been awful. Plain and simple. The guy coexists through games. Cruises until he's subbed out. Lollygagging around, no sprinting back, no intentional effort when needed. We should have sold him last year. grabbed the money and rebuilt.
The difference between Rafa's passes into the middle that went to Brugge players and Okafor's assist was Pulisic's run into the box that cleared out room for Reijnders to take the shot, so not Rafa's fault. Leao made some excellent plays, but he was hit and miss and didn't seem comfortable with his decision-making in many situations, so I don't have a problem with him coming off when Okafor could provide some fresh legs in a tie game. Leao can learn from this experience & come back fresh against Bologna - we will need him to produce with Theo, Reijnders, and Tammy all out of the game.
I fell the reason Pulisic was more quiet on 1st half since almost all of the attacks was coming through Leao/theo side and not from Pulisic side and pulisic did not got ball served to make impact. Rafa is a definitely top quality player without a doubt and i hope he really gets back in scoring. I feel like Theo was also ineffective today.
Its because Emerson ROyal is terrible. He is afraid to advance the ball forward and his passing is innacurate and lacks creativity. Musah is quite a bit better and should be playing there. Or RLC
Exactly. If you notice when Pulisic was out wide he was setup up 2-3 yards behind the last defenders. Covering for Royal and needing Royal to do some work to get the ball forward. When Chuck came in he was able to play even with the last defender and with Pulisic circulating the ball better than RLC had a better partner in attack. I also suspect without seeing the tactical view that Chuck could push higher up the field as Oakafor was covering the left side better on defense when ACM lost the ball on the right side. ACM was better as a team when Leão went out. I think he team become unbalanced with Leão as any attack on the right wing is somewhat negated as you can't position the winger even with the back line. Also, Royal and RLC are ineffective getting the ball to that player and making runs.
and yet they directly involved him on a corner kick from Theo's side. They worked it short to him, Puli had a good cross in and Gabbi headed it wide. That space was still there clearly in the 2nd half, because Theo passed it directly to Puli again in the 2nd, but that time he scuffed it unfortunately.
I actually think the manager wanted to force attacks down rafa's side because Christian literally went 90 mins like 2 days of rest. But I was shocked they played Christian 90 mins against Brugge.
I totally agree with your take on Rafa because he was fantastic when he was on, definitely the best player especially in the first half, and I wouldn’t have taken him off, but I guess Fonseca mainly did it for RLC because he frickin sucks. Fonseca Masterclass😭
Rafa was great. He is good in isolation but he does sometimes slow the game down too much. Hope he can stay assertive. I understand what Fonsceca means about energy. We want to play with intensity and rapid ball movement.
Kush is partially wrong. Leao had a totally overmatched defender on him in Seys. It was obvious that team instructions in the first half were to keep going to Leao, yet he failed to steamroll Seys with power and physicality, going in and out of phases of motivated, semi-motivated, and not interested. Visualize Haaland in that position. Haaland would have crushed Seys physically relentlessly. Leao powered over Serie A defenders last year. This year, every single Serie A defender has played him physically, and it's obvious that it throws Leao off. Word and observation spreads, and every team is onto it this year--except Club Brugge.
Your reading comprehension is not very good. Pulisic came up thru the BVB ACADEMY AS A 10.. he was so good they moved him wide to get him on the field. Obviously he was blocked centrally.
The issue with Leao in this match isn’t that he didn’t make fantastic individual plays. He certainly did a lot of great things. The problem is that in the first half Leao and Theo decided they were going to play 2v11 with TG getting to play a bit part occasionally. As soon as Leao was subbed, Theo tried twice to make that same run he was making when Leao was in where he received the ball almost every time, and you can see it get ignored by TG so that we could open up play and start utilizing our advantage
I think this being the first time pulisic was played centrally in back to back games since he’s been at Milan really cemented the fact that their offense just ticks over more smoothly when he’s pulling the strings from the middle. I believe fonseca is gonna drop RLC and we will see that electric trio of Rafa CP and chuck. But honestly Rafa is on borrowed time to keep starting. Wingers don’t make their bed in dribbles or chances created, just ask pulisics managers at Chelsea. It’s about G/A and fonseca even called him out and said even he isn’t untouchable like he was under Pioli. We do support him but not at the cost of wins and losses. Rafas decision making and execution can definitely be called into question. This year more than ever so he just has to tighten it up. But like I’ve been saying pulisic is actually Milan’s most INFLUENTIAL versatile attacker and before he got there Rafa was unquestionably that, so it’s extremely challenging for someone of his abiltly to recalibrate how he sees himself versus how a coach or the teammates now see another attacking player and m his team. And we don’t ignore chuck of course. Hes no longer the lone star.
Kush, the problem with Leao wasn't his attacking in the game, the problem was his laziness when it comes to defending, thinking he is too good to defend. That Brugge goal came from a player who he was supposed to track back with, ran into the box unmarked by him and let his teammates in the box hang out to dry. Just watch the brugge goal and where Leao and the brugge player were.
Nice CL win, we needed the result. Rienders was sublime. I think he is the key for Milan, we win when his creativity and finishing is on display. Solid from CP, Rafa and Chucky. Starting to gel for the Rossoneri. Think about our attack when Rafa is in form, Leao must find himself.
I agree we should support Leao when he plays well. I disagree though about criticism. Most the criticism I hear isn't insults it's simply rating his play. This is competitive sport and these players signed up for this so I don't see an issue pointing out Raffas short comings. Another point is yes Leao still has some good offensive stats but we have to remember most offensive goes through him so it kinda pads some metrics. Hopefully he uses the criticism as a chance to build not pout. I think he will respond positively.
Kush, you’re one of the best in footballer analysis out there. But Truth is Rafa makes it harder for us fans to believe him. He drops his head, smiles when the game is heated against us, walks back most times, doesn’t play penalties, freekicks and he’s been there long enough and have earned the right. One game, one or two seasons doesn’t define a player’s career. There should be long term consistency. See, to be a clutch player/human like fans want him is taking control and being in charge with attitude and performance. Players GROW!!! PS: I have never said things against Rafa on Social media because that’s shooting myself in the leg but this is my truth when I watch him.
If they want a chance to win any kind of trophy this season, I believe they will need to find a way to get Rafa going. Pulisic is doing a great job with the tiny details, that don't always appear to be impactful...then he's also having an absurd run of scoring too. But he, alone, cannot carry the offensive load for the team. Imagine how strong they would look with Rafa, CP, Chuku and Morata clicking together and finding some chemistry. As an american, I'm so excited for Pulisic's current form, but I would much rather see Milan do better as a full team.
Leao was creating a lot of chances, so I think he was taken off because he didn't track back and mark the Brugge right back who had just been substituted in. He was essentially not even on the field fucking strolling 10 yards behind the marauding RB. Totally unacceptable!! LEAO does half his job and should sit, watch, think and learn. If Okafor does his defensive duties I think he's got enough going forward to take Leao"s position for now.
As a Pulisic fan who followed him to the club. I’m having the same thoughts as I did about Puli early last season, but for Leao. I really want Leao and Puli to get on the same wave length. I know how deadly it will be.
Individually Rafa had his moments, but if you watched the game, you've seen that after he came off the entire team play changed and like everybody was playing with extra energy. With Rafa, the gameplay was so slow I was about to sleep. The subs completely changed the game, and obviously that's not solely Rafa's fault, but he was a part of our collective gameplay that slowed down our pace. With Okafor and Chuku on the wings and Pulisic on the 10 we have so much more tempo
It’s Leao’s fault that everyone critiques him. It’s because of the standards people have set for him based on his ability. Any time he doesn’t run through the whole team and set up his teammates for a tap in (Napoli in UCL) -he is considered out of form and lazy. We all know he’s capable of playing like a world class player, so when he plays like an elite player-everyone gets mad at him and freaks out. Meanwhile when anyone else on our team plays at an elite level everyone praises them. Double standards
9 taking points for me - 1. Magic Mike 2 saves within 20 minutes 2. Rafael Leao helping but others failing 3. Pulisic's 180 degree goal 4. Chukuwueze's inclusions 5. Pulisic shifting to Central role 6. Camarda debut 7. Camarda's goal 8. Tomori's work rates 9. Okafor's assist .. I agree with you on Leao needs support
You are spot on…we need to be patient with Leao he deserves it and your right the team played better when Loftus Cheek came off I been saying this for a while now that his is completely irrelevant when his on the pitch.
RLC is beyond useless, it's like playing with 10 men. I've probably made that comment before but it's wild to watch one player consistently do that to a team. He can never play in the 10 position again, it's offensive to all the great attacking midfielders of Milan's past and to all the talented ones they have now.
I think that first goal was more on Rafa than Emerson. If Rafa tracks back with his man, the goal scorer, it does not become 1-0 Brugge. Rafa was literally standning there watching the play.
I thought it was very cool that as Rafa was taking the long walk back to the bench, and after the goal, Chuck ran straight to him and hugged him and celebrated with him. To me is was like Samuel recognized that he has been there before and he knew how Leao felt, and wanted to show him love and respect .❤
I've said this before, I'm just here for Pulisic, not Milan. Hate me. But I agree with everything you just said about supporting Leao and being honest about his contributions. The thing that's not in his favor is that he makes the spectacular effort of others look effortless. And combine that with no goals and well... if winning is the metric for keeping a coach, then what is the metric and patience we should extend to an attacking winger?
I'm the same way brother, I watch Milan for El Capitano, not that I have any problems with Milan when he's not there but I'm not a Milan fan, I'm a Pulisic fan. I "support" Milan and am disappointed when they lose simply because it's Pulisics club so it's easier to be objective and everything Kush is saying is correct. I feel the exact same way. How long has RLC had to prove himself? I don't like saying things like this but it seems like English tax.
@@Freestyle80 Not really, it's football. I can have an opinion on football while not being a fan of the team playing the football. I still watch nearly every Milan match this is just silly.
Pulisic is our most important player, no doubt. I don’t like how people started to hate Leao, yes his passing was bad but the runs he made was good… when he had the chance to score he passed back I believe it’s because of all criticism he lost confidence but let’s not forget he used to be our main player.
What more do we want from Leao? Goals. For the type of money he is demanding, im sorry but a few nice passes here and there ain't enough. Score goals. Change games. Be a leader. That's what we want from Leao. Im just not sure he's mature enough to be that guy. And at his age, it might be too late for him to ever be that guy.
As long as he is giving full effort like today I don't think he'll get any hate. We all see his God-given talent and just get frustrated when he's nonchalant. Capt. America is going beast mode at AC Milan.
I reckon Camarda deserved a shoutout. Regardless of the goal, I remember last year when he had his serie A debut being bullied. Especially against fiorentina. This time you could visibly see how much hes learnt from Morata in terms of movements off the ball. Hes not the physical weakling he seemed last year. Always seeking the ball and making the right movements. Worthy of a shot.
Solid review again Kush. I'm not all there with you on Leao though. I don't blame him completely but there is still an attitude there that he can't get away with.
The fact that you have to take notes when Rafa does something good to defend him says it all , 7 successful dribbles 5 of those ended up being possession lost , 3 chances created which were two (pulisic and Theo) the other one was a clearance when he should’ve shoot the ball
Totally agree… and don’t forget Rafa and Theo have their own team within the team… and if one of them is missing.. it’s a much better team but this is something the coach needs to workout..
The problem with Leao is more of attitude, he isn't a baby anymore and needs to drop the need to be pampared attitude. If he is on the ball and nobody moves, it means nobody knows what he's going to do and nobody actually expects a pass from him. I feel the players ain't feeling him plus he still lazies around when not in possession or when disposessed, no team mate likes that.
1) rafa was a gem in attack.its unfortunate that the number of chances he creates goes no where coz no one in the center is there for him. I agree his substitution didnt change the game. 2) I agree loftus for the power house that he is .. was invisible the entire game.. I dont recall the commentary say his name once apart from that poor backflick or dummy.. His substitution changed the game. 3) we need to address our CF situation. Tammy is spotty at best and morata I dont see carrying this team. Had it been giroud there 60% of those leao chances would have been converted. I say give camarda his deserved first team spot and try him out. He already proved he has an eye for goal( although slight offside) what is milan so scared off with him. If they insist on playing morata for experience ..then bring on camarda in the second half and give him proper minutes..
Pulisic didn’t get service in the first half bc leao and Theo forced everything left. There were multiple times he was throwing his hands up on the right calling for the ball. I won’t say leao didn’t have a couple good runs up the left but most of it was bc the right back got a yellow. This team is so one sided when those two guys are on the left, everything is forced left. It’s no wonder they scored 10secs after leao got pulled. Fonseca is struggling hard to control egos and I wouldn’t be surprised if leao Theo and LC are trying hard to get their share, it’s just selfish play imo.
Good point! Attacking both sides will make it more difficult to defend. If ACM just goes left, left, the defense will expect it. The last two goals came from the right side indirectly.
I complete agree that we should be in more support of Leao. It has always bugged me when I see fans calling to sell Leao when he’s been our superstar . I would also say we should extend that to RLC too , he’s having a bad moment , we should also try to lift him up while he’s down , he was incredible all last year under Pioli so we know he has the qualities. So just like Leao let’s support RLC too , he can be a tank
Camarda wasnt just a disallowed goal, when he was on the ball he was always playing so positively even passing first touch, he needs more time with the first team, he can easily score 10 goals this season alone if hes alvaros back up, tammy and jovic dont convince me
I agree with you about the RLC sub. People blaming Rafa when it was actually Ruben coming off that unclogged the center. I really hope Fonseca listens to himself with those post match comments and drops RLC. Puli in the center is the way forward, especially with Fofana and Tijjani playing the way they are
You could spin until the earth is flat about Leão he'll always be that one talented player with tremendous skill sets when he wants to, but his forever laziness will go down in his-story ...period.
The Leao substitution is a nice coincidence. Lotus-Cheek is undoubtedly a good player but the game completely changed with Chuku. Okafor, I am not sold on yet. The man of the match was Tijjani and Maignan. Pulisic's goal was awesome and he is starting to become a legit star. Leao needs to go. The money will be better for us
Maybe Pulisic can be the guy who unlocks Leao by playing centrally he can drift left and overload that flank with Leao and Theo. Theo can overlap and Leao can actually UNDERLAP into the midfield, a space creative when Pulisic drifts wide pulling the defenders. He’s got that gravity to him now
I agree probably this was one of the few games where Rafa was actually running fonseca should have waited at least the 80' before sub him, too bad for Camarda disallowed goal but on contrary of what peoples say he showed that even with young physique he can still score, next games outside Real Madrid should be almost easy games so i hope he will find the goal there, Pulisic amazing, he even learning italian he doing very good
Kush I think you're completely missing the elephant in the room with Leao. If the problem with him would be only "he's out of form, he'll be back to his best soon" then we would all be sleeping in peace. But there's an ongoing pattern with him since after the Scudetto where he only chooses to play in moments and the season bypasses him, not just the games. His problem is not he's out of form or he doesn't have the skills or the drive. His problem is mentally. It's obvious to see he is not happy with Fonseca's appointment. In an Albanian podcast, Noah Okafor's Swiss barber shares how Okafor has told him that Leao is not happy at Milan this season because he had expected the management to get a better coach than Fonseca and he thinks Milan doesn't win enough trophies. There are a lot more background issues with the guy than "he's just out of form". I believe when Fonseca was appointed, his stinky ego thought that "I'm bigger than you because I've been here for a long time and won a trophy vs you that haven't done much", based on Okafor's barber words. Leao is 25... He's not 21 anymore. This is Milan. We cannot just let our seasons get absolutely ruined for this guy to have one or two purple patches in a season. We need someone more serious and consistent, even if he doesn't have the potential of Leao. I repeat, he's 25. There comes a day when you look past the potential and say enough is enough. It's too late anymore to wait on your potential to flourish. We need to move on. Real Madrid's cup is overflowing with attackers. Go buy someone from there with Leao money. Go get someone like Rodrygo or Arda Guler. Ps, if you want to watch that moment from the Albanian podcast, I can send the link but you'll have to translate cause it's not in English lol.
This feels incredibly toxic but besides that, that's not what I came to say. Just a small point is that no one from Real Madrid wants to leave Real Madrid. Especially not for Milan. Maybe a Milan of the past but current Milan doesn't attract players like it used to.
So despite all of this you mentioned he was still our most dangerous player today… If this is him being out of form then we have to do everything to keep him. Btw can you blame him for not being happy with the appointment of Fonseca? Up until 2 weeks ago nobody was happy with his appointment let’s not kid ourselves. The way Leao has to grit his teeth and support Fonseca, we have to do the same with an “out of form” Leao as well.
@@glennvelasco6814big difference is that Leao is paid millions to play under Fonseca, it's literally his job. Whether he likes him or not he should be doing his job at the best of his abilities. Or go to the Milan board and tell them he wants to leave. Simple as that.
@@Darianmetalhead is being the best player on the pitch for your team for the 60 minutes you’re playing not doing your job? Am I missing something? As far as his relationships with Fonseca-you have to understand that these things are extremely complicated and can evolve over time. I actually respect some skepticism from senior player when a coach who hasn’t won anything arrives. It can mean he cares for the club and wants the best for it. This is all conjecture here, only they know what is happening behind the scenes. Regardless Leao walks into any starting 11 outside of Madrid and we have to support a player like that-not saying we can’t criticize him but at least be accurate when you do it.
Here's my question and the answer requires looking at a tactical view of the game. I don't have tis view. How much does the team have to tweak their positioning to accommodate Leão.?
imo emerson should have been a red box he was good against udinense but yesterday i feel he failed so many crosses and wasted attack and didnt impress in defending to. i feel like rafa has been a bit different with fonseca he is getting slighty better at defending but i dont see as many magic from leao as before but as we have seen rafa is a bit more of a "2 half of the season player"
100% agree on everything. Just wanna add that I'm so pissed that they loaned out Kalulu. He was great in our Scudetto season and now for Juve. What were they thinking? We need him so badly.
I agree with everything you said Kush but whats your take on the ball being played on the left the entire first half, do you think that is a tactical decision by Fonseca?
I always thought RLC last year was a lot of empty stats he’s exactly the guy we should’ve sold in the summer when his value was high but somehow he continues to get lots of minutes and playing further up the pitch than reinders while being a hindrance in the final third
The issue with Leão isn't that he can't do some good moments, but rather the decisions he makes. He passes when he should shoot, and shoots when he should pass.
You know what I think it is, I think rafa is almost too unpredictable. Meaning his teammates don’t know where to be at because they don’t know what he’s going to do. Whereas okafor is more predictable, I think now that rafa is being a bit more unselfish his teammates will eventually catch on.
Loftus is a disaster royal timori gabbia fofana are just not ac milan and champions league level we are always playing with atleast 5 players down every game.struggling against brugge we are in big trouble you have to be blind not to see this management need to step up...brill video kush good work thanks
Good job Kush 😁 But, in every game, Maignan makes at least two super saves to keep us in the game, we could have conceded at least 2 goals in the first 20 minutes, and it's almos the same situation against every team we played against, and it seems that Fonseca has no solution for that.
Kush as always spot on analysis. Pulisic is in a very rich vein of form. He is our best player this season however please let's us remember that Leao is Milan best player, has the X factor and can determine the course of any game. Someone needs to sit with this guy and tell him he can be as good as Vini. He needs 2 things final product and consistency. So let's support our Star boy because we wouldn't be scudetto winners without him. Special mention to Mike. Tijjani Samu.
If you go and watch that second goal Pulisic made a run drawing 3 defenders and opened up space for Reijnders to score. RLC would’ve just gotten in the way again.
I don't think we have what it takes to do good in the UCL this season. Brugge played very well and I'm not sure that we would've won without the red card. We have a lot to do, and seeing Emerson Royal in the attack all the time makes us very open to the opposite sides counter attacks - and Real Madrid would demolish us after what I saw from them yesterday. PS - Your'e absoultely right about Leao - he played very well at the first half and maybe he was still fatigued from Portugal, but he did make a lot of chances yesterday
Our best player lately has been Reijnders. He has an attacking mindset, great footwork. Can hold down the midfield. Loftus cheek is a waste of a roster spot. There are a handful of players I would keep, the rest should be sold.
Rafa plays too much on his own. He can create chances like that because he's a beast, but it's a fact that the team plays better with Okafor and Chuku in right now. It might be his attitude, it might be the way he rarely makes the right decision inside the box after successful dribbles, I don't know. But frankly I don't care. He needs to up his game or leave at this point. Not celebrating with the others is a bullshit move from someone who thinks of himself first, and of the team only second. He is 25. Not a kid anymore.
It was both…. RLC is gods awful but LEO is overly selfish with an ego and tries too do everything on his own instead of working with teammates and passing around and working in and out… you see him time after time after time try too take on 2-3 defenders and constantly losing it instead of passing too an open teammate and making better options and decisions… the moment the subs were made all of that changed because was more teamwork and fluidity that you don’t get with leao on the pitch
Bro leao selfish is dumbest thing i ever heard are you kidding me bro did same shit as okafor 5 Times but they didnt finnish and you call him selfish😂😂
I’m all for supporting when things aren’t well. But you’re not doing yourself any favours when you walk off the pitch right after the game instead of with the team. Attitude or just perception matters.
i dont think leao had a good game but i feel like the stats dont show the whole picture, i feel like leao isnt willing to buy into the system as much as others do such as okafor! he had a good game but like u said he cant convert and for him that should always be number 1, especially during that cut back! he should have shot and leao from 2 years ago would have scored that easily. but his head isnt in a right place and i feel like if okafor gets the nood a couple more times he could simply take leaos spot. if he cant get his head into the game, he shouldnt be playing imo. cant go into everygame expecting him to score and he makes silly mistakes like that cutback. becuase in some games those will be the deciders.
His head isn’t in the game yet he was our best player when in the pitch… maybe his head isn’t all there because of a bunch of all of the overblown criticism
@glennvelasco6814 so your saying leao wouldn't have scored that cutback chance? He isnt there and just for ur sake let me points some things out for u, he is our highest earning player(1 goal in last 21 matches) he wears number 10( likes of seedorf, rui costa, savicevic, gullit) hes gonna get pressure and criticism no matter what club he plays for when he performs like the way he does. Now i said he had a good game but that doesn't excuses his other 10 that were atrocious. If he cant handle criticism here he wont be able to handle it elsewhere.
@@fajko397 you OP said he did not have a good game which is why I responded. To your points. He’s earning that money because of simple supply and demand-he walks into 99% 11s in Europes best teams and could earn way more somewhere else. As for the 10-who else would you have given it to (he wanted the 7)? He also has not played lousy for the last 10 games. He’s tied with the most assists, second for chances created etc. Yes he’s not having a great season by his standards but he’s always slow to get going. I say the criticism is overblown because instead of focusing on our lousy defending-we criticize the player who was most dangerous in the pitch for 60 minutes. Our attack is not the problem this year or even last year (check stats). It doesn’t make sense to me
People just be hounding Rafa because of the media’s agenda against him- people are feeding into it and are choosing to ignore his performances. Man just needs to keep doing his thing and the chances will come 🌊🏄♂️
Leao was average with worthless crosses. Hernandez and Leao imo keep Milan back. Those two are way too selfish. It’s clear Milan looks better without him. That’s a fact
Wasn’t the original idea for the season was to play Pulisic as a ten? I totally agree RLC was the issue offensively. He sits right where we need Pulisic. We need to see Chukwueze play from the start against 11 and in Serie A and not Brugge.
I disagree with you, Leo was only Avg . So let’s give him Participation Ribbon for “he had the most chances”or most Duels - Really kush ?thats what you’re telling us? Wow Bro Remember, Leo has Theo on his side, Pully has Emerson so theres no excuse for Leo not Delivering assist or a goal today, especially when the other team being a man. You’re better this !!
Average by Leao standards, yet the best player in the first half by any other metric. Smh. It was his fault that Theo and Pulisic couldn’t finish. Cmon.
This is too speculative but I think that a lot of the hate today on Leao comes from this perception that he did not care enough. There were times when the ball was rolling towards Mignolet or a defender where Leao just slowed down. Morata or Giroud or HM Son would have chased it, created pressure and, possibly, scored or earned a corner or even a penalty. By contrast, Okafor just showed more fortitude. The fact is that we are now at a point where we are comparing him unfavorably to the likes of Okafor and Chuku who realistically are not Milan level players at this point. The money for Leao might be better than Leao himself.
I mean he won the most duels in the team today. You want him to also sprint after hopeless balls? Just because he’s the fastest player on the pitch doesn’t mean he has unlimited stamina. I understand this critique in other matches for him but not this one
@glennvelasco6814 most duels won is a meaningless stat bro. Obviously better than not winning the duels but nevertheless, we only care about duels won when the player does nothing else. He just looked uninspired compared to Chuku, that's all. I personally thought he was mid, which is fine because we won but I understand why people are turning on him. When was the last time he had like 2 shots on target in a game? Goals are being scored by defenders. I have no issues accepting that he is now an average player. He clearly has not been elite this season.
@@thehater6189 I understand the shooting critique for sure. The comment about him being average is insane-idk how someone can watch his dribbles (1st this game) change of pace, see how many chances he creates (also 1st), and call him average. We expect world class from him because we know he’s capable-when he doesn’t achieve it that doesn’t automatically make him “average” smh
@glennvelasco6814 bro im being hyperbolic like most soccer fans. We all know he is the best player on the team and one of the best in the world. As you're pointing out, it is because he isnt performing to this world class level that the frustration comes. If tammy abraham starts the next games and scores 0 goals, i wont even be mad. I expect absolutely nothing from him and i think he should be sent back. It is because I have expectations from leao every time he gets the ball that I get upset that he dribbles into the box and then fucks it up with a weak shot off target. You know exactly the feeling I am talking about lol
Surprised you didn't mention Pulisic's defensive work, once again, forcing the back pass for the interception by Chukwueze's for that last goal.
Not to mention the amount of space that he created for Reijnders in Milan’s second goal. Pulisic drew so many defenders to him as he ran through the box that Reijnders had a really open shot.
Edit: spelling to fix autocorrect
@@mattbrunguyen☝️💯☝️
He's much better than almost all Italian AC Milan "UA-camrs".
to the person who signed tijj and pulisic deserves a golden medal 💀
The same person signed Emerson though and gave away Saelemaekers, Kalulu, Adli, Pobega and D.Maldini for peanuts, all of them to other Serie A clubs. So while Tijj and Puli have been great, the overall record is not that great.
Not maldini😂
nope def not it is moncada getting pulisic and reijnerds was good but emerson did ruined it all
So good to be blind like you
@joshualarsen3301 Yeah Maldini just got us Theo Hernandez, Rafa Leao, Mike Mignian, Tomori, Tonali, Bennacer, Thiaw, Kjaer, Ibra, Kalulu, 1 scudetto and ucl semi final etc... but let's flame him and put the blame on him for getting de kaetalare right 😅
But man does Pulisic look to be a man on mission this year!
Agreed, he’s crazy!
an american winning ballon d'or would be crazy and unexpected, but we all know how ballon d'or works, they choose who they like more instead of who actually deserves it🙄😒
anyways i hope pulisic actually will win some good individual trophies like golden boots and player of the month, ecc.
@@lorenz178 I think he could win it. But the thing is the team he’s on has to perform well too. So if Pulisic put up the numbers and was the leading force for the team Milan would still have to win the scudetto & Champions League for him to even be in consideration if I were to guess.
@@arkansasceltic true true.
@@lorenz178 looking at Milan he probably won’t win any significant trophies, he’s crazy good right now but Milan doesn’t seem to be in form.
@@farukjasaragic3970then give leao to better clubs and paddle with pulisic 😂
The difference between Rafa's passes into the middle that went to Brugge players and Okafor's assist was Pulisic's run into the box that cleared out room for Reijnders to take the shot, so not Rafa's fault. Leao made some excellent plays, but he was hit and miss and didn't seem comfortable with his decision-making in many situations, so I don't have a problem with him coming off when Okafor could provide some fresh legs in a tie game. Leao can learn from this experience & come back fresh against Bologna - we will need him to produce with Theo, Reijnders, and Tammy all out of the game.
This video is amazing and I love this cannel so much. He gives so much detail about everything.
Pulisic on fire
Agree except on the goal they scored it was scored by the defender who was marking Leao. He just walked back and watched him score
His attitude is trash. Couldn’t stand him today. Okafor showed him how it’s done. Rafa needs to put his head down and get to work.
@@nucleus14reticularis That's actually a good point. Everyone that went down the left flank made a meal of the defender. He was slow.
Rafa has a bad atittude.. hes not mature..
Pulisic came up thru BVB as a 10…… only switched to right Mid cuz he was blocked by Reuss.
Pulisic almost never played as a 10 for Dortmund. He mainly played as a 10 for the USMNT under Klinsmann.
Your reading comprehension is not very good. Pulisic came up thru the BVB ACADEMY AS A 10.. he was so good they moved him wide to get him on the field. Obviously he was blocked centrally.
Blocked ? 😂 tf
Also, shout out to Camrada!
Chukwueze means 'God is King'
Kush, the problem with Leao wasn't his attacking in the game, the problem was his laziness when it comes to defending, thinking he is too good to defend. That Brugge goal came from a player who he was supposed to track back with, ran into the box unmarked by him and let his teammates in the box hang out to dry. Just watch the brugge goal and where Leao and the brugge player were.
Pulisic has everything we need - talent , attitude, technique .
Great analysis. Very fair towards Leao. It was a good match. Glad to see well deserved points on the board
If we start to play, it's because Pulisic played CAM.
9 taking points for me -
1. Magic Mike 2 saves within 20 minutes
2. Rafael Leao helping but others failing
3. Pulisic's 180 degree goal
4. Chukuwueze's inclusions
5. Pulisic shifting to Central role
6. Camarda debut
7. Camarda's goal
8. Tomori's work rates
9. Okafor's assist
..
I agree with you on Leao needs support
The 2nd goal is also on because of Pulisic. Watch Pulisic’s run in the box which clears the middle for an easy 2nd goal.
Okafor and Chukwueze make the team a better and more active team. There is no reason to run Rafa unless he gets more heart.
“Every football fan on the planet already knew that Emerson wasn’t up to par. How is it that the management didn’t realize this sooner
Love your videos bro and you are totally right on the Rafa situation. Watching since a long time, keep it going fra! Sempre Forza Milan!
You are spot on…we need to be patient with Leao he deserves it and your right the team played better when Loftus Cheek came off I been saying this for a while now that his is completely irrelevant when his on the pitch.
Stop calling it a run and respect your best player! This is who he is. Absurd you can’t just accept an American is the best player at Milan!
Bravo Fonsecaaaaaaaaa
RLC is beyond useless, it's like playing with 10 men. I've probably made that comment before but it's wild to watch one player consistently do that to a team. He can never play in the 10 position again, it's offensive to all the great attacking midfielders of Milan's past and to all the talented ones they have now.
I think that first goal was more on Rafa than Emerson. If Rafa tracks back with his man, the goal scorer, it does not become 1-0 Brugge. Rafa was literally standning there watching the play.
Leao is like a volcano!

I totally agree with you. It definitely seems like Fonseca is singling out Leão. Milan was ahead because RLC went off.
If Leao tried to help in defence he wouldn't have been subbed off
Love this channel
@@brian27 Pulisic first touch of the game came at the 13th minute. Pathetic
Camarda wasnt just a disallowed goal, when he was on the ball he was always playing so positively even passing first touch, he needs more time with the first team, he can easily score 10 goals this season alone if hes alvaros back up, tammy and jovic dont convince me
KUSH, I’ve noticed that some people come here just to hear you talk about Christian😂
well duh, he's america's best player. Probably ever.
Because he’s hot I mean like sexy hot people like him
I agree with you about the RLC sub. People blaming Rafa when it was actually Ruben coming off that unclogged the center.
I really hope Fonseca listens to himself with those post match comments and drops RLC. Puli in the center is the way forward, especially with Fofana and Tijjani playing the way they are
Good take on supporting rafa,I believe he'll come good eventually
You could spin until the earth is flat about Leão he'll always be that one talented player with tremendous skill sets when he wants to, but his forever laziness will go down in his-story ...period.
Rafa we love you always, you got this! Noi crediamo
He’s got that gravity to him now
I just wish we could have got Morata or whoever the striker more involved in the goal scoring opportunities
Christian Pulisic is a great player
I like your take on Rafa, if we could get Rafa/Puli and Chuki in form, this attack will be really really good
I always thought RLC last year was a lot of empty stats he’s exactly the guy we should’ve sold in the summer when his value was high but somehow he continues to get lots of minutes and playing further up the pitch than reinders while being a hindrance in the final third
Thank you for giving Rafa the props, people forget how good he is. Morata deserves a red box too, he didn’t get in position at all.
The issue with Leão isn't that he can't do some good moments, but rather the decisions he makes. He passes when he should shoot, and shoots when he should pass.
Can we all agree we wanted to hug Camarda after the goal... and again after the offside call when ? 😂😂
We can criticize RLC,Chukuweze,Emerson,Tiinji basically every player but Leao 😂
You know what I think it is, I think rafa is almost too unpredictable. Meaning his teammates don’t know where to be at because they don’t know what he’s going to do. Whereas okafor is more predictable, I think now that rafa is being a bit more unselfish his teammates will eventually catch on.
Loftus is a disaster royal timori gabbia fofana are just not ac milan and champions league level we are always playing with atleast 5 players down every game.struggling against brugge we are in big trouble you have to be blind not to see this management need to step up...brill video kush good work thanks
Good job Kush 😁
But, in every game, Maignan makes at least two super saves to keep us in the game, we could have conceded at least 2 goals in the first 20 minutes, and it's almos the same situation against every team we played against, and it seems that Fonseca has no solution for that.
Pullistic is huge in the game
Kush as always spot on analysis.
Pulisic is in a very rich vein of form.
He is our best player this season however please let's us remember that Leao is Milan best player, has the X factor and can determine the course of any game.
Someone needs to sit with this guy and tell him he can be as good as Vini. He needs 2 things final product and consistency. So let's support our Star boy because we wouldn't be scudetto winners without him.
Special mention to Mike. Tijjani Samu.
Vini had the same production problem but u could see Vini worked on his game it’s been 6 years and we’re still waiting on Rafa
Canceled or not, Camarda's goal will always be in our hearts
If you go and watch that second goal Pulisic made a run drawing 3 defenders and opened up space for Reijnders to score. RLC would’ve just gotten in the way again.
RLC has some of the best off ball movement of the team if played right, Fonseca has just no idea how to use him.
Leao was not as good as you were saying.
Bro are you kidding me😂😂
Kush always overvalues Leao. It’s of no surprise.
It was the substitution of Leo that changed the game really coach needs to play more Pulisic instead of him because he’s a risk
Why are people suddenly calling RLC awful? He's a pretty good player.
Bro leao selfish is dumbest thing i ever heard are you kidding me bro did same shit as okafor 5 Times but they didnt finnish and you call him selfish😂😂
I remember at some point in the first half the camera focused on RLC and I thought to myself: “Oh shit he’s playing !?” 🤣
I’m all for supporting when things aren’t well. But you’re not doing yourself any favours when you walk off the pitch right after the game instead of with the team. Attitude or just perception matters.
Kush, statistically, this was one of CPs best games. FOTMOB had him as an 8.6. This is just an observation on my part. Thoughts?
Reijnders was good because he was fresh and rested previously
i dont think leao had a good game but i feel like the stats dont show the whole picture, i feel like leao isnt willing to buy into the system as much as others do such as okafor! he had a good game but like u said he cant convert and for him that should always be number 1, especially during that cut back! he should have shot and leao from 2 years ago would have scored that easily. but his head isnt in a right place and i feel like if okafor gets the nood a couple more times he could simply take leaos spot. if he cant get his head into the game, he shouldnt be playing imo. cant go into everygame expecting him to score and he makes silly mistakes like that cutback. becuase in some games those will be the deciders.
It doesn’t make sense to me
@glennvelasco6814 thats a typo and a half cuz about 15 words later i said he did
👏👏👏IRON MIKE .. IRON MIKE .. IRON MIKE👏👏👏
Lol calling leao selfish is criminal😂😂😂
Wasn’t the original idea for the season was to play Pulisic as a ten? I totally agree RLC was the issue offensively. He sits right where we need Pulisic. We need to see Chukwueze play from the start against 11 and in Serie A and not Brugge.
I believe, Fonseca will bring the best of Leao for sure. Even Camarda.
I disagree with you, Leo was only Avg . So let’s give him Participation Ribbon for “he had the most chances”or most Duels - Really kush ?thats what you’re telling us? Wow Bro
Remember, Leo has Theo on his side, Pully has Emerson so theres no excuse for Leo not Delivering assist or a goal today, especially when the other team being a man.
