I also have the lavender vanilla candle from B&B and agree that the scent is very relaxing. I like the color of your sweater! It looks good on you with the matching makeup! 👌
Okay, I have a theory about Fall Farmhouse!! As soon as you mentioned it smelled like someone baking a pie cold but then smelled sour when burning... whatever B&BW uses for a "dough" or "pastry" note (it's in a lot of of their autumnal scents especially, even when it's not necessarily named in the description - but Campfire Donut and Pumpkin Pecan Waffles are the ones that have it as a central 'note') tends to develop into a weird sour note when burned. It's been consistent enough over several years that I've learned to stay away from anything named pie/waffles/pancakes/donut/cafe as they usually add it liberally into those, but they sneak it into other fall scents and totally ruins them. I'm not sure if they're trying to evoke the sour 'starter' in dough or if it's just something they don't even realize is happening when that 'pastry/dough' note is burned, but it's enough that I've become a lot more hesitant about their autumn candles in the past several years.
And yeah, I'd describe it as someone being sick & it DEFINITELY develops over time. Campfire Donut was cool for like the first 20 minutes, but then it became this weird sickly sour & too sweet combination to the point that I literally felt nauseated.
That makes so much sense!! I was trying to figure out exactly what made the scent turn SO bad. I usually stay away from pastry scents unless it's Christmas, so I've never really had that experience before. Sadly it's turned me off from anything that mentions pie or bakery notes :( Hopefully they can figure it out!
I hope they bring those candles again. You have great taste with candles. Just like me. I love earthy, fresh scents and I hate sugary scents.
Thank you!! Yes, I'm all about fresh scents!

Ohh no. I think I should stay away from BBW fall candles

My worst smelling candle is pumpkin peanut brittle. I also loved it on cold but once I burned it. Eww.
Yikes I never tried that one! Will definitely stay away if they bring it back lol
I heard another reviewer say the same thing about fall farmhouse. I won’t be buying it!
Fall farmhouse is the worst. The “branch” smells like armpit BO 😬 on cold to me 2022 version
Sometimes that "air" note can come off as hot breath. 🤢
LOL very true!!
