thanks - about to tackle this on our '05 ml350
shouldn't you loosen the filter first, so the oil trapped in the cartridge drains down to the oil pan? For a more complete drain...

I see the 13mm wrench what are the other sizes
It could be a 15 mm

2CarPros Thank you very much .....I think that mabey i didn't ask the right question , I bought my oil filter last night Bosch 3477 and i will do oil today first time on my ml-350 , but in the box their are 4 rubber o-rings the big one goes at the top but on videos i only see 2 more rings , i guess i will see todaqy when i remove filter if it needs all four rings.....Thanks

+2CarPros Thanks again for the reply .Oil went great and it does only need the 3 o rings, and its funny cause they put 4 in box. and they are all different sized but 2 of the 3 I took off were same size but the new ones I put on one was bit smaller but fit fine , I am going to call Bosch tomm....You are very nice and thanks for the reply I made a video it won't be as good as yours I'm not pro like you guys.....I have question I am going change thermostat and the ect sensor cause I have a code po 128....not sure where the engine coolant temp sensor is , Its pretty cheap to buy so I will fix myself...If you know where it is on the 2010 ml 350 that would be great I am still looking.....Your the Best Thanks John
Hi, what is the torque spec for the drain bolt?
Arm tight something like 18 ft lbs. Don't over do it, it would be a real bummer to strip. Thanks for watching!

how do u reset the computer
Use the prompt on the computer and hold the botton down
Use vacuum to remove from the top. That is how the dealer does it. Also that is how marine engines get there oil changed. Much cleaner.

Try hitting the thread gap with some WD-40 and letting it sit for a while. Thanks for watching!
it usually requires a wrench, you can buy them for $8-30 on amazon.
