Be great to see the orchestra do a Blomstedt Box on the CD label. Make it a first in a series of guest conductors that have had a long relationship with the orchestra. Maestro Blomstedt is certainly deserving of more recordings on CD with the orchestra beyond Bruckner 3.

Karajan's BPO emi recording has the most powerful climax I have ever heard (2,15 on) for this movement. Incredible performance, but it's the emi recording, not the dgg.
