Cat Stevens' Majikat - Earth Tour was recorded during his last legendary North American tour in 1976. It was an ambitious production involving live magicians, synchronized film projection and large innovative stage set. This was the ultimate tour of Cat Stevens before he quit the music business and became Yusuf Islam; he didn't perform on stage again for nearly thirty years.

I'm 76 years old . i saw him from the start. I can sing most of his songs from memory. there will never be anyone that has affected me so much as him and his music.

I met "My Lisa" in April of 2014. It was a "slow" "unorthodox" courtship. I sent her this tune in March of 2015. Her response was: "How did you know"? Lisa passed in July, of 2018. I can't listen to this song, without crying.

Cat is a rare breed with incredible range and breadth of lyrics. “ Go listen to “ Morning has broken” to fully appreciate the depth of his talent amongst numerous other heart warming songs. Loved you then and love you today. Extraordinarily gifted and god given talent. Hope you’re well. Please continue to perform. Miss those early days in the UK.

the accents in the piano arrangement and the kind of "staggered" arpeggios are outstanding. Great live performance. I wish he had more piano pieces on his records. Rick Wakeman famously played piano on "Morning has Broken," but this makes it sound like Cat could have if he wanted...
Sad Lisa and Wild World were my favorites on this album. Sad Lisa was the depressed part of me. The words perfectly describe that part of me. Thank you for writing this song. In high school I had to be happy but gratefully Sad Lisa helped me put thoughts and words together and try to understand. You're the best Yusuf/Cat✌
This is one of my all-time favorite songs. I heard Sad Lisa for the first time almost 50 years ago, and it still grabs my heart like that first time. I just love the way it was recorded originally, with the beautiful violin and cello (I think - I never could confirm it for certain). The music is so poignant and it conveys the deep sadness that engulfs my spirit so often, and the lyrics perfectly reflect the way I wander in the darkness of my depression, looking for something or someone that could bring me out of my despair.

And Steven's Songs reveal profound sense of Harmony and Technique. The "catching" phrases and chords speak eloquently. Truly, poems in music. My elder Brother and Sister made me acquainted with all 70ties USA Music that I "sipped" greedily, as Mother's milk. I was just 8 years old and USA Culture SHAPED my heart PROFOUNDLY, though living in the Old Continent. Thanks, "Youssuf". You made a lot of people think more, cry less and live more wholeheartedly. This is a beautiful song. Though he says the song is reflection of himself or perhaps his feelings I also feel it as my name is Lisa and it touches my heart. Cat Stevens /Yusuf is that connection and part of treasured memories as a child in the 70's with my my brother and time we would spend with my father. We always thought he looked like him a little in photos and we loved to Album cover's unique art style. My father passed in 2016 but the songs remain to fill our hearts with the light and love of those happy times.
Almost 50 years later... Always so much pleasure to listen....

I've been listening to this song for 3 years. The same amount of time my daughter has been addicted to crack. This song helps me by reminding me that she's only just sad. Very sad.

The comment he gives at the start of this video about projecting your ideals onto someone else makes a lot of sense to me. This song reminds me of a pet cat I once had that was very scared of a new apartment I had moved us into. I couldn't understand why until I found out the place had been occupied by someone who had a dog and the dog's scent was still permeating the place (even though the apartment had been cleaned - carpets and solid floors washed, walls patched and painted). It took a few weeks for my cat to get comfortable with the new surroundings.

I listen to it again and again. I admit I like Yusuf's slower versions, like the recorded version. My guess is Alun Davies would have preferred a slower version. So strange, I havent heard this in YEARS!! And yet, I woke up with this tune in my head this morning, knowing its familiarness, but not remembering, where or who was singing. The words were not clear. However, after a few minutes of humming it, it rang a bell that at least I realized who it was singing it. I googled a list of songs from Cat Stevens and scrolled down it. There I saw it. The really odd thing is when I chose to play it, we were both exactly in the same key!! How bazaar is that!?!?!
HOW weird. I too had this song pop in my head because my older sister used to play it long ago when I was a kid and she's not been well lately, then a few days later I heard an acoustical version while at a store I even asked the manager the name of the song but she did not know.
