  • Fishtown in Leland, Michigan isn't just a throwback to the past, it's still where fishermen make a living. Commercial fishing, charters and Carlson's Fishery, a fish shop that has been in operation since 1904, all call Fishtown home. Clustered around the fishing hub of Fishtown, you'll find artists, gift shop and some of the best sandwiches in northern Michigan at Village Cheese Shanty.

I stumbled across Fishtown on Monday while my Corgi and I were roadtripping along M22. What an awesome place to experience. Tonight's dinner, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and smoked gouda cheese. Both picked up from Fishtown.
