I remember coming upon Fox´s book Original Blessing. He was a Catholic priest, a Dominican monk, I believe. He was excommunicated, became an Episcopaiian, then a "post-denominational" priest. I like him a lot, although I´ve only dabbled with his stuff and his approach. His focus on Meister Eckhardt and Hildegarde of Bingen is interesting, but I´ve found myself drawn more broadly, including regularly rediscovering Quaker-Friendism until it is one of my favorite parts of the story, in Luther´s legacy. Fox also did a New 95 Theses. I also recommend John B Cobb a lot. Among others.
As I have said in my own little writings, authentic Biblical interpretation must flow as much from the heart as from sound intellectual appraisal. Otherwise, what use is all those verses about love?
Thomas Aquinas and Hildegard of Bingen are both Doctors of the Church but the Traditionalists of the Vatican do not properly represent them to the people through Vatican control. You may not know but the Gnostic Gospel of St Thomas (Apostle) has recently been accepted into the Catholic Church through Pope Benedict XVl rest his soul❤
@@nicholasdasilva9those teachings did not come from the Gnostic Gospels themselves but the attitudes of people who became Gnostics. Besides Mary Magdalene however, there was the typical cultural male bias towards women of the day. Matthew Fox however teaches the opposite view of the body being evil. St Hildegard was an originator of holistic medicine for healing body and mind. Fox espouses all of Hildegard's teachings.
Finally an Intellectually Honest, Rational and Loving take on Christianity. This is how it was meant to be interpreted since the beginning ✌😇

Yes, intelligent Christianity is well hidden. I'm glad I discovered it.
God Bless.

This is the old Gnosticism the Apostles warned against.
