I sang this song for a talent show in high school. I was invited to join a few bands afterwords. No one knows that it was to a girl that I love, and who I had pushed away. So there, sweating beneath those bright lights, hallucinating from drugs, and shaking with fear I sang from my soul to a crowd who knew not why nor who I sang to. And she never knew either. For she was far away, and already gone. I still miss her.
"Grey would be the color if I had a heart". I live life in light but Trent's message kept me out of the dark. At ten yrs old, this is alot for a kid to absorb and prepare for what life could throw at you. Love NIN for not ever taking me to that place.
