@@thenightdances21 Yes, it truly isnt bad. Dating is better as you've learned the lessons of your 20's. The men are more secured, older & wiser and are ready to settle down. Although I never chased a man even in my 20s, in my 30's it was just so much easier, its like they finally got it. I actually turned down a few proposals since turning 30. Its like the men are the ones pressuring for committed relationships and marriages. I think your 30's is easier because you become more sure of yourself. It has been amazing for me. I've taken more trips between the ages of 29-33 than I've ever taken in my entire life. I'm actually getting ready to leave the US in a fews weeks to go to Africa to wait out the impending 2nd wave of this pandemic. I figure it would be much easier to get through another quarantine in the sun than the cold weather that will soon be upon us... Anyway, as far as travel companies go, I will say Intrepid Travel is pretty, they have an 18-29 singles group travels that may interest you and the go to just about every single continent as well. www.intrepidtravel.com/us but also use Google you might find a few reputable companies on there as well. You will be fine hun, you were born to thrive anot strive. Get reacquainted with yourself. Don't stress about where you feel you should be career wise, just continue to improved upon yourself, feed your soul and work on your inner self and everything outward will fall into place.
Happy Birthday both to you and your bro!!!! I myself am 33 and as I aged through my teens and 20s there was definitely a sense of panic?? Like in high school I envisioned that I would be this metropolitan man with a boyfriend/husband, his own nice apartment, maybe kids and a high paying job and as I got older I became harder on myself for not getting there - never mind my own disabilities and mental things that keep me from being neurotypical - and it wasn't until 27 as well that I realized 'oh, what I already am is good enough. I am already an adult with a 'real' job and an ability to take care of myself' and 'you know, beating up on myself isn't going to help get somewhere faster AND now I am still at the same place but feel worse' Gaining that sense of self and self love can be such a long process and I'm still very much in that journey but I feel very grateful now that I feel miles better than I did at 23 you know??
When i was approx. 11 my godmother toldme that she really loved he 30s. She said she loved her 30s because that was a time she felt really confident in herself. I carried that with me and when i turned 30 had that perspective and expectation. My 30s were full of ups and downs but I'm so appreciative of that small convo she and i had at 11. Happy birthday welcome to 30 Its a beautiful place to be 🎂
"Unless life stops, life keeps going." What a CONCEPT!!!! Every video is constantly, always, a delight and a thought-provoking time to chill. Happy Birthday!! 🎉🎉
I’m 46 and time is of the essence. I’m literally staring 50 in the face and all my friends are traveling and taking vacays DURING Covid19 and I’m bunkered down in the house like that bihh Rona gonna jump my ass the moment I get on the plane🤦🏾♀️ This Gemini feels that if 2020 was a dish it would be liver and onions🤢 Happy Born day🙌🏾
I actually got really depressed when I turned 30. I was just really in my feelings, about no longer being 20 something. You know when you're in middle school (for me anyway), you imagine you're going to 'be great' at 25 (because 25 IS SOoo... OLD, at that age). Be Married, own a home etc. etc. & that hadn't quite happened for me, in fact this happiness thing (& the ideals and reality of what that means FOR ME, as well as just overall contentment & appreciation of my existing blessings.. is still a work in progress). I'm being very long winded rn, but I said all this to say.. I was over it by 31, that bday was a breeze, & I really enjoyed it. I'm several years passed 30 at this point, & although I still have many things I'd like to achieve.. I'm very grateful for how far I've come, BY THE GRACE OF GOD (& I choose to dwell/meditate on that). Abundant blessings to you, internet cousin (sincerely 🙏🌞💐).
Her parents are Kenyan,?, well it now makes sense.... Her accent changes got me confused a lot ...African American?, Kenyan? , Nigerian ?like seriously 😂😂😂😂
What's shocking is how much of this is still true when you hit 40. I'm trying to wrap my head around turning 50 in a couple of years. We have to get over our projections about each number as we approach it. We still feel like ourselves, but the number coming at us just feels more and more surreal.
Girl...getting older is over rated. I am a whole 40..no kids and still trying to meet my husband and honestly feel like I am pretending to be an adult.
"Your life is the sum of your decisions" God, I feel like I had this stuck in my head all through my 20's, and that meant I could change anything in my life had I wanted and put in the effort. Which I guess is sort of true, but it's also so very exhausting. Turning 30 for me meant to sit down and really choose and take responsibility for that focused energy, knowing I'm leaving other things & projects behind and maybe I'll never get back to them... and that's ok. I guess. I still have to repeat myself that speech once in a while. Also, life can be unpredictable in a great way sometimes. Happy birthday, Evelyn 🎂🎉 I sure hope life keeps surprising you ❤
I feel that calling women I meet "girl", and having a hard time calling myself a woman. I am working on making myself really think about my word choice.
I made a list of 30 things I learned in my 20s when I turned 30 in January and it put a lot into perspective for me. Also! The relatability of people being impressed with my throw away shit 😢 girl.
"I also wanna be lazy." Rest is my priority lately and I got 6 months til 30, so I feel that mood. Rest is productive. Excited for what is ahead for you.
Honestly, I've watched that one video a NUMBER of times just to hear that "don't be afraid to be seen trying" bit again, because it's what I need to hear these days. Happy birthday!
When you said “it’s been a while since I’ve gotten ready” I feel like you spoke to my soul. Happy Bday, Internet cousin! I hope the Lord blesses you abundantly this year and this decade! (And let me just say, your 30s are amazing. I look back at my 20s and think “yeah, that was cool”, but your 30s? They be poppin’!!!)
I can relate. Swirling in the wind 🌬 Lol I definitely feel younger than I am. It’s a mind -🦆 with foreign parents cause you will forever be their “baby” . You could be 70 years old and still not grown in their eyes 😂
Evelyn you said “I only make YT videos” but you are the only channel who’s videos never cease to make laugh or make me feel like I have someone to relate to. Always grateful for your presence here and your insight is always so helpful for different parts of my life. Thank you for existing out here ❤️
Yes!! I just learned about the concept of fear of success many people (esp women) experience in my Social Psychology course. It hit me that this is something I have and I tend to hold my own self back a lot.
That’s a fact about Leo’s not giving our all and people still being amazed so the idea of giving my 1000% and not living up the perceived reaction I stamped in my head is crippling 😩
Happy Birthday, Evelyn! You are a joy to follow on The Internets. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and lifestyle activities with us. You are Amazing, Blessed & Highly Favored. Year 30 is just the tip of the iceberg, and I am here for it. Keep the content coming here, there, everywhere. And Happy Belated Birthday, LittleBo.
WOW. "My "not all" is stellar" I've always told people this...like if I really went for it, I am now, but I've known all along. Never heard someone articulate it so spot on
For me, (at 35), the 30s were all about learning to be a better friend, especially to women, without sacrificing myself in the process. Happy birthday, Evelyn!
I honestly think that it's not your age that makes you feel like an adult, it's being a parent. The adult that has lost personality and just feels like an old person that is. You love your kids so much, that your whole being can easily be reduced to protecting them, loving them, worrying about them, and helping influence their growth. It is a concerted effort to having your own identity and not just being a parent. At least that is from my perspective.
I am a 31 year old mother of 2 and your videos are like therapy for me!!! I swear you ALWAYS give me so much knowledge and say the most inspirational things!!!
Happy birthday, Evelyn! I had a quarantine birthday last week and it was ... weird. Thank you for always ringing humor and realness to the internets, we're all so lucky to have you here. Take care of yourself! Love from Chicago

I didn't start feeling "grown up" until 2 weeks after my 40th birthday a few months ago.... then again that may have been covid forcing that feeling🤔. Nope! Just checked I'm still childish AF🤷🏾♀️😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Happy birthday hun! 🎉
From one Leo to another HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! That being stellar at things with little effort but afraid to give your true 100% is such a Leo thing. It's our season, hear us roar!
30 seems to be a year of reckoning. That was the first year I woke up and, had I been at home and my mom asked how did it feel to be 30, I would have had some things to say. I actually felt different. At 47, a lot of the times I still don't feel "grown" because I haven't hit like *ANY* of the milestones of adulthood -marriege, child, house, but I am good with that. I am settling into just being me, my bout to be 48 year old self. Like you said, unless it stops, life goes on. Every day is a precious gift and imma enjoy each one until the last one. Happy birthday, young sista. 🎂🍧
Happy Birthday Evelyn! It's hard to pick theright words to express appreciation for your humor, true unparalleled originality, warmth and self-consciousness. You bring joy to the world! Thank you for YOU.
Happy birthday, Evelyn. Be kind to yourself and relax into whom you're becoming. I turned 51 in early July. My age has never been a factor in anything I've done. Live life on your terms and have fun. My daughter is 31 and fabulous.
Happy birthday Evelyn! You deserve to spend more time being lazy! As a 36 year old, I didn’t start feeling like an adult until I started working with people who were born when I was in Jr. High, lol. That’s when it really hits you, I think.

I’ll be in my driveway getting extra dark playing beach sounds in the background this year 🥺🤧 I’m back again. The not giving you’re all and still being impressive?!???!! (looks back at K-12, undergrad, grad school👀). If you preach any more, this comment will be a dissertation lmao
Happy Birthday! This video was perfect today. You said so much that is so relatable. The quote "Don't be afraid to be seen trying" hit me hard. Me and my sister are trying to start up something new which requires us to put ourselves out there. I've put myself out there before alone, but she is kinda new to it and it feels like I'm going through the frustration that comes with lack of support all over again. But I am determined for this to work out. Thank you for all the content you put out. It has been super enjoyable and inspiring over the years.
Welcome to the 30s we have better planned out snacks with some reising in the back! 🥂🍾 🧆 🥟 Love what you repeated from your 27th bday video about not being scared to be seen trying. It definitely is a vulnerable position because we're supposed to 'know already' but no one knows everything already! And if someone does, then maybe they can give me a hand or three! Hey! 👋🤞✌ Happy birthday! 💛
Happy Bday internet cos Evelyn! You got so many truths figured out in your 30th year--you create and inspire, encourage, and have gratitude! you should be so proud! I'm in my 31st year and wonder all the time about where I'm at/where I'm going. A friend told me we should not compare ourselves to others, we can only measure our progress against ourselves--so it's helped me appreciate the things I have accomplished. Thanks for being you! Wishing you joy

Happy birthday fellow Leo! As someone who just turned 30 as well (the day before your birthday!) all of this hit real hard. I’m stepping into my third decade with more intentionality as well and finally living life for me. Thank you for being a safe, Black af piece of the internets that I’ve enjoyed for so many years. Wishing you all the love and light for your 30th year

I am already an adult with a 'real' job and an ability to take care of myself' and 'you know, beating up on myself isn't going to help get somewhere faster AND now I am still at the same place but feel worse'
Gaining that sense of self and self love can be such a long process and I'm still very much in that journey but I feel very grateful now that I feel miles better than I did at 23 you know??
When i was approx. 11 my godmother toldme that she really loved he 30s. She said she loved her 30s because that was a time she felt really confident in herself. I carried that with me and when i turned 30 had that perspective and expectation. My 30s were full of ups and downs but I'm so appreciative of that small convo she and i had at 11. Happy birthday welcome to 30 Its a beautiful place to be 🎂
Happy birthday, Evelyn! Hope your 30s are even better than your 20s. You’re amazing and I’m glad you use this platform to express yourself. 💖
"Unless life stops, life keeps going." What a CONCEPT!!!! Every video is constantly, always, a delight and a thought-provoking time to chill. Happy Birthday!! 🎉🎉
I’m 46 and time is of the essence. I’m literally staring 50 in the face and all my friends are traveling and taking vacays DURING Covid19 and I’m bunkered down in the house like that bihh Rona gonna jump my ass the moment I get on the plane🤦🏾♀️ This Gemini feels that if 2020 was a dish it would be liver and onions🤢 Happy Born day🙌🏾
That’s exactly what dish it would be! 👎🏽
Lol at Evelyn telling her Kenyan parents to ‘fall back’ 😂😂😂
Her parents are Kenyan,?, well it now makes sense.... Her accent changes got me confused a lot ...African American?, Kenyan? , Nigerian ?like seriously 😂😂😂😂
When I was in the store and this little girl called me "that lady" I felt really weird because I feel like I'm not an ADULT adult lol.
Yes when I wasn’t ID’d once I was taken a back. I was like I’m an Adult 👩🏾
Try having a teenager call you auntie. Dude I’m 27!!!
I'm always confused by that. I look young so depending on who it is I'm Miss or Ma'am and never know if I'm going to get carded
M. I’m 27 too ! Omg I could not ! Big sis is a reach but it would suffice !
@@msmiami212 When your sister has a stepkid who's a teenager, it feels intense VERY quickly lol.
LEO INTERNET COUSIN UNITE!!!🙌🏾 ♌️ 🦁
Yes I'm screaming 😂
Leo Gang!! ♌️♌️👏🏽👏🏽
Mine was July 31st! When’s yours?!
KEE'S WAY mine was July 23rd 💃🏽🙌🏾
Happy birthday to us !🥂💛
What's shocking is how much of this is still true when you hit 40. I'm trying to wrap my head around turning 50 in a couple of years. We have to get over our projections about each number as we approach it. We still feel like ourselves, but the number coming at us just feels more and more surreal.
*"unless life just stops, life just keeps going" - Evelyn on turning 30*
Veni Vidi Amavi whew this hit me
Girl...getting older is over rated. I am a whole 40..no kids and still trying to meet my husband and honestly feel like I am pretending to be an adult.
Me too 43 still looking lmao 😂
That's a great idea! I'm going to do that with my girlfriends!
elmariamgibson I’d love to read it if you’re comfy sharing
"My "not all", is stellar!!!" Your words really spoke to me today... thank you.
Happy Birthday!! "real g's move in silence like gnocchi" I need this on a shirt 👀
"I also wanna be lazy." Rest is my priority lately and I got 6 months til 30, so I feel that mood. Rest is productive. Excited for what is ahead for you.
U will probably start feeling more like an adult when people start addressing u as "miss" and "ma'am". For me, it started at 40 and I love it.
Don’t lose your amazing attitude. I’m well into my 50s and I’m starting a doctorate program in the fall. Always try new experiences!
I'm 25 and it is a relief to get this kind of honest perspective from someone who remembers what it's like to be where I am. Appreciate you 🖖🏾 💚
"It's been a while since I've gotten ready" I feel that 🙈
I can relate.
Thank you for existing out here ❤️
Happy birthday internet cousin, just remember this year don’t count!! #leoseason #leos 🦁
Right
I totally felt that, only giving 45% and people be impressed. Why I need to do more? 😂 #fearofsuccess
When she said that it literally spoke to my existence as a fellow Leo
Happy Birthday, Evelyn! You are a joy to follow on The Internets. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and lifestyle activities with us. You are Amazing, Blessed & Highly Favored. Year 30 is just the tip of the iceberg, and I am here for it. Keep the content coming here, there, everywhere. And Happy Belated Birthday, LittleBo.
This was a great talk.
Happy Birthday Evelyn and Baby Blo!!!! 🥳🎁🎈🎉🍾🥂🎂
*Evelyn proceeding to put foundation on* - me: “literally nothing changed!” - you have amazing skin! 😍
WOW. "My "not all" is stellar" I've always told people this...like if I really went for it, I am now, but I've known all along. Never heard someone articulate it so spot on
I completely feel the “my not all is stellar” 😅you got it!! Happy birthday🥰🥰
For me, (at 35), the 30s were all about learning to be a better friend, especially to women, without sacrificing myself in the process. Happy birthday, Evelyn!
"My not-all is stellar!..." Deeeeefinitely leo tings!! #Ifeelseen
“Forget these laid edges, ima let it shrivel up!” -Beyoncé
Happiest of Birthdays to you! 🤗🎉🎈
Happy birthday Evelyn! I love your commentary 🎂🍾 i feel you on calling myself woman... i still see myself a girl lol. I guess it's woman then
I’m 39. Promise it gets better every year. I’ve never been happier or more confident. Truly well seated in my throne of power.
Happy Birthdaay Miss Evelyn, not a girl not yet a womaaan 💕
Yes to the throwback Britney Spears!!
Fellow Leo here! Happy birthday Evelyn :D
My birthday was July 23rd and I felt the same way girl. Us Leo’s need to keep our heads up.
Happy birthday Evelyn! I would love to see Evelyn on insecure next season 🥰💕🤗
Happy birthday, Evelyn! I had a quarantine birthday last week and it was ... weird. Thank you for always ringing humor and realness to the internets, we're all so lucky to have you here. Take care of yourself! Love from Chicago
Yes to working smarter, not harder. My new mantra.
HAPPPPPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYY BORNDAY EVELYN!!! Love you GIRL!!! Stay positive!! Keep doing your TANG!! 🥰🥳🥰🥳🥰🥳🥳🥰
Evelyn, I so appreciate your candour and humour. As a 32 black girl from South Africa, every thought you've shared here is literally my experience(s).
Happiest of birthdays, Queen! The amount of inspiring me you did this YEAR. You might not feel it, but living is a crowning achievement. GO 'head witcha birthday puffs.
LEOs. We truly are a blessing to the world.
Happy Birthday Aunty Evelyn 😩💓💓💓💓💓💓 you're such a joy and your content never fails to make me smile, no matter how many times I watch. You are truly talented and I wish you the absolute best in all your endeavors ❣❣❣❣
Also Happy birthday Baby Blo. Tbh because Evelyn calls him that all the time, I dont remember what his name is but nonetheless I'm grateful for you. I wish you all the best as well 😊💓💓
His name is Steve
@@PochamaRex see? Now I feel dumb because I knew that but I just couldnt remember 😭😭😭😭 thank youuuuu 😊
"Life is the sum of your choices" is a hard pill I don't want to swallow lol, i'm 22. But i'll try
From one Leo to another HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! That being stellar at things with little effort but afraid to give your true 100% is such a Leo thing. It's our season, hear us roar!
Happy Birthday fellow🦁. We out here shining, glimmerimg & glowing in the midst of a pandemic! 🎂
Happy birthday queen ❤️
Happy Birthday Evelyn! It's hard to pick theright words to express appreciation for your humor, true unparalleled originality, warmth and self-consciousness. You bring joy to the world! Thank you for YOU.
Happy Birthday🎉🎉 to the Queen of the internet. We love and appreciate you. Hope you enjoy your day and wish you many more❤
Happy birthday, Evelyn. Be kind to yourself and relax into whom you're becoming. I turned 51 in early July. My age has never been a factor in anything I've done. Live life on your terms and have fun. My daughter is 31 and fabulous.
Lol. I haven't heard anyone else call their parents "parental units".
Happy birthday Evelyn! You deserve to spend more time being lazy! As a 36 year old, I didn’t start feeling like an adult until I started working with people who were born when I was in Jr. High, lol. That’s when it really hits you, I think.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVELYN!!!!!! we love you girl!!!! x
HAPPY 30th BORNDAY ANNIVERSARY, INTERNET DAUGHTAH!!! TOOT! 🥳🎁🎂WOOHOO!🥂🍾YEAAA! 🎉💐XOXOXOXO!🤗😘🤗😘🤗😘YOU and your GOD given beauty, intellect and talents are SUBLIME...grow, but pullleeezzz DON'T ever change. May HE bless your parents for their obedience in bringing you and Babylo into the world.🙏🏽Applause! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Happy belated BDay🎂to Babylo, too!
Happy birthday!!!! Most of my faves are Leos somehow 🧐Shout out to the August babies!!☀️🥵
Had to come back. When you said you had plans to be on the beach and getting BLACK, I felt that. I’ll be in my driveway getting extra dark playing beach sounds in the background this year 🥺🤧
I’m back again.
Love what you repeated from your 27th bday video about not being scared to be seen trying. It definitely is a vulnerable position because we're supposed to 'know already' but no one knows everything already! And if someone does, then maybe they can give me a hand or three! Hey! 👋🤞✌
Happy birthday!
I’m 42, I have two young kids, have been married divorced and about to be remarried again, and girl, I JUST started feeling grown grown this past year...kinda 😉
Happy Birthday! You bring us all SO much Joy!!! In the words of Dr. Seuss
"Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!”
people with perfect skin putting on foundation.
me: weird flex
Happy birthday fellow Leo! As someone who just turned 30 as well (the day before your birthday!) all of this hit real hard. I’m stepping into my third decade with more intentionality as well and finally living life for me. Thank you for being a safe, Black af piece of the internets that I’ve enjoyed for so many years. Wishing you all the love and light for your 30th year
Happy happy birthday living legend! May this new year bring more and more to you ✨
Such a fan of your work ! Enjoy being 30... its a whole vibe.... speaking a 42 yo grown grown woman! Who still says "yes mommy" when my mom tells me what to do! #alwaysherchild #nevertoogrown
Happy birthday Evelyn and belated birthday to baby blo!! I hate that when you said "life is what you make it" I immediately thought of Hannah Montana 🤣😩
your reflective videos always resonate. things like feeling like a kid as an adult, or getting away with not giving it 100%, aren't always easy to talk about honestly, but you make them funny/interesting AND real as always. thank you for sharing and happy birthday!!!
