joey i have silver arowanas, could they go along with discus? im planning on moving my discus to my larger 150 gallon tank once they are all grown up. what do you feed your arowanas and discus? thankyou! keep up the great videos
joey I'm your one of the biggest fans . For me you r the best aquarium advisor I have a question.....I wanted to buy an aquarium to house an arowana .....so what would be most appropriate size .....plz tell
To see how far hes come.... Even how he presents his videos. Its so much more laid back now its crazy :D . Glad to have been part since close to the beginning!
Your videos rock, Joey! You've inspired me to make DIY stands, and now I want to try a DIY aquarium. Your inspiration has even spilled over into my archery hobby (DIY targets, target stand, etc.)
Love the tanks and the fish. Out of curiosity do the tanks stay bare for a reason? Do they just tear up plants and logs and stuff or do they just not really mind? Those huge tanks wound look sick with sand substrate, some bogwood and large plants.
The King of DIY, do you have a video that shows how to apply Weld-On 16 to patch leaks? All the times I've seen you mention it, it's applied off-camera. Thanks!
***** Great, thanks! I just watched both of those. When using Weld-on 16 to seal a leak, is the goal to leave a bead behind (like you would leave silicone behind in a glass tank) or to put a thin amount down (like you would when using Weld-on 4)? Thanks again!
When it comes to diy you are the best inspiration and I have been following you for very long time. Please do planted tank video diy some substrate and dump in some live plants me and my friends will be happy to watch it.
It was not a hybrid. It was a boesemani stingray. Rare and only discovered in 2009. Big price tag came with it. ($3,700). I was the first to bred them in captivity.
+The king of DIY help me. I have 7-8inch peacock bass and i want to add a 11.8 inch motoro. Will they work out? Im afraid the motoro will eat the bass.. Thx P.S. My tank is approx. 200gallons
I tottaly just started watching your vids last nite and cannot stop,I'm new to careing for fish, just got 2,20gals and one 55gal (witch is still cycleing) you've thought me so much and you realy help a lot of people with your amazingly informative videos 👏🏻😊, please keep em coming as I have so much more to learn and would love to one day have a DIY tank like yours, thanks again for taking the time to do thease greatly helpful and entertaining videos!!! P.s love all your fish and rays ... They look so happy/healthy .. Cuz they got THE FISH WHISPERER for a dad lol 😜
Thanks for sharing that Joey. I've just gotten into the hobby with the help of your videos. Keep up the great work in the DIY field. Many Props to you!!
Great vid joey. Looks great. Do the discus get on well in that tank? Seems a strange combo. Never seen discus, arowana and rays in one tank! Love it though.
How do I PURCHASE YOUR BOOK? I can not seem to get the purchase to work. Do I have to follow you on facebook first or what. I wanted to use PayPal, Enjoy your work and videos
+The king of DIY help me. I have 7-8inch peacock bass and i want to add a 11.8 inch motoro. Will they work out? Im afraid the motoro will eat the bass.. Thx P.S. My tank is approx. 200gallons
Beautiful fish! great combo, love your videos, I am happy to have the chance to see your fish and tanks in your future videos. Thank you for all the info you convey to us it is so helpful.
Awesome video Joey! Me being similar to your self In the fact I have always wanted rays, (since Steve Erwin's death here in Australia) "what would be the right first ray to get? size and size tank I would need???
Those Discus look large compared to the size of the Rays in the tank. If they are really large, did you get them from the same supplier ? They must be very expensive. I also would not of thought that they would be a fish for that tank. I always see them with fish like Tetras. Looking forward to the next video.
I actually seen your devastating update on your stingrays first. I didn't totally feel you pain until I saw this video of your build up to having them. Now I feel your pain. Sorry you had to go thru that.. Must of been very upsetting being it effect you in so many ways. Are you planning on getting them again? or will you just move on to something else?
No they do not. No one ships asian arowana to the US. If they do, its a scam. OR if you are caught with one, you can be fined $10,000 and face jail time. Its a very serious offence.
***** I live in Missouri and our local fish store sold lots of Arowana and i own a few. I think they are illegal in a few states but not for all of the U.S. I will say tho that they can usually never tell you anything about where they come from or exactly what species they are
Johnny Schmedeke Yeah I know a couple of petstores here in NC that have carried them. Pretty expensive in my opinion but lovely fish when they get bigger. I'm wanting to get into the Discus fish!!!
Silver Arowana aren't considered Asian Arowana. From what I was told it is illegal to have Asian Arowana shipped into the country because they are an endangered species. Some people that do have them breed them and sell them but I have to wonder if they have a license or permit to sell the ones they've bred here in the USA.
this is a awesome video sir !!! i would love to see the next video with more details and longer if you can do that please . like always your the best joey !!!!!!

How d you keep your water crystal clear? And what feeds do you give to them? Im having trouble feeding my Arowana,
Could you make a video about arowana care ? or atleast your experience on caring fordem? tnks (y)
To see how far hes come.... Even how he presents his videos. Its so much more laid back now its crazy :D . Glad to have been part since close to the beginning!
what happened to the small saltwater aquarium you had?
Wow Joey how far you have come in the production and narration of your videos
Beautiful fish man and what dedication to the hobby...

Your videos rock, Joey! You've inspired me to make DIY stands, and now I want to try a DIY aquarium. Your inspiration has even spilled over into my archery hobby (DIY targets, target stand, etc.)
Awesome! but don't shoot me!!
Love the tanks and the fish. Out of curiosity do the tanks stay bare for a reason? Do they just tear up plants and logs and stuff or do they just not really mind? Those huge tanks wound look sick with sand substrate, some bogwood and large plants.
Keeps the tank as healthy and clean as possible.. Very low maintenance..
The King of DIY, do you have a video that shows how to apply Weld-On 16 to patch leaks? All the times I've seen you mention it, it's applied off-camera. Thanks!
I have a video on weld-on 4 and 16.
Apply 16 like you would silicone.
***** Great, thanks! I just watched both of those. When using Weld-on 16 to seal a leak, is the goal to leave a bead behind (like you would leave silicone behind in a glass tank) or to put a thin amount down (like you would when using Weld-on 4)? Thanks again!

It's ok to have leopolidi's stingrays, asian arowana and discus in the same tank? I love the combination but don't want to lose my discus.

The ray with the motoros in the start of The video. What is it a hybrid of??
It was not a hybrid. It was a boesemani stingray. Rare and only discovered in 2009. Big price tag came with it. ($3,700). I was the first to bred them in captivity.

Thank you for all the info you convey to us it is so helpful.
Hey, Probably everybody is asking this but... Why don´t you have substrate in your aquariums?
Easier to make water changes and clean debris.
man... he already state it in this video and still asking xD.
watch video again
Great to know about Montreal having that gem! I'm in taxed to the max Ontario. Great vid my friend.
Where did you buy your rays
I bought mine from fish farms
Awesome video Joey!
Me being similar to your self In the fact I have always wanted rays, (since Steve Erwin's death here in Australia) "what would be the right first ray to get? size and size tank I would need???
How big is the fish tank???
What is on the bottom of that fish tank? Sand, faux sand, styrofoam?? It looks good, do you have a vid on how you made the bottom of your tank?
There is nothing on the bottom. I have a video series on how i built this tank:
HOW TO: Build A Large Aquarium 1/6
Those Discus look large compared to the size of the Rays in the tank.
If they are really large, did you get them from the same supplier ?
They must be very expensive. I also would not of thought that they would be a fish for that tank. I always see them with fish like Tetras.
Looking forward to the next video.
i raised them myself. They are as big as they look. They are perfect tank mates for rays actually.
Buddy 😭😭😭
plz tell the dimensions of the aquarium ......
can a 4-5 inches of discus eat rosy barb?
Where did u get ur arowana
I state specifically where in this video.
It's baby Buddy. RIP
RIP
Looking forward to the next video.

Doing a vid about your discus?
Never seen discus arw. Stingrays in a home setup nice show piece

Very cool! Great to see your fish Joey! That Aro is awesome looking, as are the Rays.

I'm jealous of your setup... That's my dream team of fish to own, i have 1/4 of the collection.
I started my own first fish hobby because of you
do they ship to the us? i know asian arowanas are ilegal in the us?
I live in the mid west and the south you can find pretty young silver arrowana for about twenty dollars but the bigger they get the more they cost
Silver Arowana aren't considered Asian Arowana. From what I was told it is illegal to have Asian Arowana shipped into the country because they are an endangered species. Some people that do have them breed them and sell them but I have to wonder if they have a license or permit to sell the ones they've bred here in the USA.
Can't wait until nex Vid
