    Very nice flight, Josh! I haven't seen many videos with the Cessna Centurion but it is a really nice plane and has good performance. I remember watching a video with Steveo1kinevo flying Premier1Driver's jet to Key West. Steveo hand flew the entire flight. Greg remarked, "This is the first time his jet has been hand flown since he owned it". Great Job !

    I love the 210, it has the best payload and speed of anything in it's class. It's a shame cessna stopped making them...however if they made a retract 206, that would be pretty sick! I love the idea of having a big rear cargo door. High wings are just so much easier to get in and out of! The most annoying thing I find with the 210 is that obnoxious buzz of the propwash in the cabin air vent intakes. I am a little jealous of you though, the full-on de-icing package and A/C! That would cost like $70k to add TKS and electric A/C to non-equipped N model.

People need to be awre that it is possible to have non native speakers in yoir airspace & that there are alot of options (for) concerning the to/too/2 & the for/4 traps. I find it interesting how often people talk on the radio, insted of actually communicating. Great video as always. Quick question for Josh - you said that on the 172 you're not allowed to have the Landing Light and Taxi Light on at the same time. I've flown several 172s and never seen or heard of such a restriction. I know that on the CAP 172s that have pulse lights we're not supposed to have both pulse and other white lights on at the same time, but that's because the circuitry interferes with each other and so you don't know if you get pulse or solid, not because it might actually do damage.

    • @AbuAnas15
      @AbuAnas15 5 років тому +1

      He didn't say you are not allowed he said you are not able. Some 72s have a single switch off/taxi/landing so you either can turn on taxi or landing at one time. Some other models have separate switches for taxi and landing lights and you can turn them on and off independently.

    Awesome flight guys! @Aviation101, don't you have to be checked out on a plane before you can fly it? Or does having CFI nullify that?

    • @TakingOff
      @TakingOff  4 роки тому +2

      The FAA does not require a "check out" in same category/class. Many schools/rentals/insurance do have requirements, but since I own this plane, it's totally legal for Josh to fly it, and with me (a certificated pilot) up front, he technically wouldn't even need a PPL.

    • @TheWolfReport
      @TheWolfReport 4 роки тому +2

      @@TakingOff Very cool to know! That leads to the other question, Since I am training in a skyhawk, that must mean that once I do my FAA check ride and get my ticket, I can fly a 152 or 182? Also, where do you film In The Hanger and how do you get to be in the audience?

    • @TakingOff
      @TakingOff  4 роки тому +1

      We film in Fort Worth and we'd love to have you come and sit in the Audience. Creating a Facebook Event on our FB page, so check it out (FB: TakingOff)
      As far as your first question-- Let's break down how the FAA defines it: Category: You're going for "airplane" (not helicopter, glider etc). Class: Single-engine (not multi-engine). YOu're also going for Land not seaplane I'm guessing. So when you get your certificate, you get an ASEL (airplane, single engine land). You might hear "type rating" but that only applies when you're airplane gets to be over 12,500 pounds (so I wouldn't worry about that right now). Another layer of confusion comes in some endorsements you might need: The FAA wants you to have an endorsement for operating a plane over 200hp, and also and endorsement for operating a "complex" aircraft, defined as have all three of these complex features-- moveable flaps, controllable pitch on your prop and moveable landing gear. (If you have two of these three, it's not complex and you don't need the endorsement). Make sense? So once you get your PPL, you can fly any single engine airplane thats under 200hp, that's not complex.

    Question? It may not even make since . Does it take load off the autopilot servos if the airplane is trimmed before engaging it? Or does the autopilot not care or trims itself .

    • @TakingOff

    I don’t get 3 prop pulls. One pull I listen for rpm drop and watch manifold pressure rise.
