      ⚠️ God has said in the Quran:
      🔵 { O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - ( 2:21 )
      🔴 [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. ( 2:22 )
      🔵 And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. ( 2:23 )
      🔴 But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.( 2:24 )
      🔵 And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. ( 2:25 )

    I have made many ribbons of this type... I also experienced several issues. First of all, their sensitivity is very low, then their impedance as well: a fraction of ohm - be careful because some amplifiers do not support this almost short circuit! Finally, you've to "close" the magnetic circuits! The external S and N poles must be connected by magnetic material to optimize the intensity of the field. The use of magnets in one piece, one large instead of several small ones, improves the homogeneity of this field. The durability of this membrane is not good because the corrugation gradually disappears or sometimes it cuts!... Anyway it's a good way to understand how an audio driver works. And I had to mention that they can play for a very wide frequency range... If somebody have infos on how to improve this design (field intensity, amplification, durability of the membrane, etc...) please share ! Shure bought a patent of a "memory shape" material now used for their mikes, solving the issues I mentioned for the membranes. Obviously, this nitinol like material isn't easily available for DIY audio...

    You need a matching transformer! The resistance of your device is very low, you need a large electric current. The sound will be louder. Otherwise, your amplifier may fail.

    • @deetimeless5836
      @deetimeless5836 28 днів тому +1

      Yes. But actually, you could probably get away with using a simple high pass crossover (just a non-polarized electrolytic capacitor in series). It will improve the frequency response and help protect the amplifier :)

    • @Jim_Klein
      @Jim_Klein 28 днів тому

    • @Jim_Klein
      @Jim_Klein 26 днів тому

      @@ubozkurt Not really;)) Ultra 0 is superconductivity! The membrane is thin, the cross-sectional area is small, the resistance is a fraction of an ohm. When a signal occurs, a changing inductive resistance is created. After all, the diaphragm moves in a fairly powerful field of magnets. To overcome it, a large current is required in a circuit section with a small active resistance but a large inductive resistance.

    This can burn the amplifier OUTPUT as it is a "short circuit". Beautiful video, but I suspect that the resistence of the system is lower than 4 or 8 ohm that tipically a normal loudspeaker has. By the way tweeter operates in HIGH frequency (above 2Khz - 20Khz) not low. For low frequency we say woofer.

    Instead of aluminum strip; Accordion-shaped paper inside automobile air filters (or Universal accordion HEPA filter paper) can be used. If a very thin copper wire is wound 80-100 turns on this paper, the resistance may increase more than aluminum foil and the amplifier will not be damaged.

    For 4 Ohms impedence, use a 10uF capacitor serial to that tweeter as a high pass filter - for better results. You don't need low frequency waves pushing/pulling that film away from magnetic field. That would dull the sound of high frequencies while there is a low frequency also playing at the same time, like that drum beats at the end of video along with cello/violin. You only need the violin frequencies on the tweeter.

    Could the High frequencies be even more crisp with a third more waves/teeth with shorter waves/teeth, but same length of your neodymium fixture? Then if so, could Widening the width for more expression, Like by a third, and with a third longer fixture lengh? Seems like you could create a seriously powerful array of these, with the idea of timbre lanes for complete genres or more generalized listening with the highest frequency output available utilizing skinnier band's widths who use the shorter fixture's lengths with shortest & skinniest at hightest frequencies and longest fixtures & fattest or widest and longest waveforms at the subs?
    I perceive your idea is essentially based on a generalized equation you have for a common summed waveform's natural wave shape, so having each distinct wave form's height, width, length and shape available, could 1:1 your idea. just unsure how the different fixtures could bestbe arranged so you could print a fixture to cause 1:1 capability to propagate them. like laying next to, stacking or having them form a cylindrical kind of apparatus for the main fixture, or even sending them different directions to potentially remove the ability for them to multiply on top of each other. This is very intriguing, and coming from someone whose very acclimated with all of Drum N Bass & the Hardcore Contiuum, centered mostly in or mostly having resided in newschool & oldschool hardcore junglism.
