Fun fact the blackface demon scene is based on a joke Zach made on Oney Plays where a monkey is brought to a pizza party. The joke is instead of bringing a pizza to the party for everyone to eat the person brought a monkey instead and all the guests start tearing it apart and eating it like a pizza.

Apparently according to Zach he wrote that live action narrator type guy to be played by Dan Aykroyd but he turned it down.

I love the blackface demon scene so much! It is so graphic, but goddamn it is so well damn animated and executed in the most hilarious way possible. And to think it started as a joke Zach made about it being about birthday kids devouring a monkey like pizza. 😂

The scene where they eat the demon is based on an idea Zach had for a cartoon where he'd have a family bring home a chimpanzee, put it on the table, and start messily devouring its entrails.
Heads up: the next two episodes both have after credit scenes. I missed them during my first run through the series.
One prank I have always wanted to do was to tape a bucket to the ceiling, stand underneath it with a broomstick, ask passersby if they could get something from a room ten feet away, and when they are fumbling with the knob, I go, "oh let me help with that," put down the broom, and walk over with the room key.

That jumpscare works so well because the demon is a completely different animation style than Pim, so you're even more taken aback by it.
Honestly I winced at the part where Pim climb through the chimney because it reminds me of a few stories where someone tried to break into a building by climbing down only to get stuck and nobody notice them in there until they smell something horrendous coming from the fireplace.
Once you're done with season 1 you should definitely watch the video Every Oney plays reference in Smiling Friends.

dude im suuuper late but its not that hard to not get cancelled for halloween, i dont think freddy kruger is a costume you need to worry about and honestly the way ppl talk about it is like theyre willfully being dense about it. just dont wear offensive shit like native american costumes, blackface ofc, traditional chinese clothing…basically anything that truly belongs to someone REAL culture shouldnt be a costume because then its cultural appropriation and disrespectful its that simple🤷🏾♀️theres still plent of costumes up for grabs without worrying about being cancled you dont gotta worry
