Jose Mourinho, the manager of Fenerbahçe, who defeated Corendon Alanyaspor 3-0 in the 4th week of the Trendyol Super League, said that they should have broken the match in the first half.
Speaking at the press conference organized after the match played at Ülker Stadium, Mourinho stated that they took too many risks.
Stating that they spent a lot of energy in the first half but could not get the reward for it, Mourinho said, “We spent a lot of energy in the first half, we did not have the same power in the second half. In the first half we pressed unbelievably, we had the ball too far in front. We needed to kill the game in those moments. We needed to score 2-3, but when it's 1-0 at half time you don't have enough gasoline. The second goal came in a very difficult period for us and after that the game was already over. We took a lot of risks today. Djiku played like a midfielder, not a stopper. We took a lot of risks and I thought that these risks would solve the match faster, but it was not like that, the first half ended 1-0.”

“I hope we play more than 50 games this season. I hope so and I think we will and when that happens you need the team and all the players. There are injuries and card suspensions during the season. In Turkey, only Galatasaray don't see cards, but other teams do.”
