Its still a bit unclear as to how you get your laser to engrave on your material with complete accuracy. It all seems to be very hit or miss. Is there a process to hit your design dead nuts on your material? Great video, the best I've seen on this machine on UA-cam, but a bit more info would help.

Great idea for another video. What I typically do first is draw a box that represents the exact size of the material I want to put the image on in Corel. So if I am trying to center a graphic on the back of a phone, I'll get the dimensions of the phone and create a rectangle that represents it. Then I will put a piece of material in the machine, butt it up against the rulers, and cut that shape out of it. Next, remove the material you just cut out and place the phone down in the material in the empty space that remains. Back in the software, I will center the graphic in the rectangle I used to cut the material, then delete the rectangle or change it to a different color and tell the laser's driver to skip that color. As long as your material did not move, you can be certain the graphic will be centered properly.

Can you use Corel Draw Essentials 2021 to run the jobs to the laser? Also, what setting would you use for cardboard, as that isn't a material listed in the UCP.

I’m still having problems engraving a bit deeper ... Can you suggest a resolution?? Thanks 😊

Going deeper is simply a matter of either adding more power, slowing it down, or a combination. If you've done these things and it isn't going deeper, you should check your optics to ensure they are clean and not damaged, check your focus, and verify your laser tube's output has not dropped off.

What Version of CorelDraw can i use? We have a ULS in our Coworking-Space and they use CD x4. I want tu have my own Programm on my Laptop. Can i use a later Version and send it to the Laser?

    • @AmtekCompany

Yes. Any version of Corel Draw should work. You can also use Adobe Illustrator or a CAD package such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD. The key is that the software needs to output vector data. Software such as Photoshop or Inkscape rasterize the output, so you will not be able to get the vector cut and vector engrave functions to work straight out of those packages.
