Deadend Times - Episode:13 - Japan Trips
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 сер 2020
- For this week's episode we decided to put together a few clips from our many trips to Japan. Some video dates as far back as 2011. We've enjoyed some great times with our Japanese friends in Nagoya, Yokohama, Tokyo and other small cities throughout Central Japan. In Japan, much like in the United States, there is a sense of community and culture attached to the cars. Every trip we take we experience a bit of their own spin they put on American custom, hot rod & low rider culture. We can't wait to go back!

They represent our Chicano culture beautifully🇲🇽🇺🇸🇯🇵 👍🏽😎
When it's cool, people can't help but represent 🙌
Can I ask do you feel any type of way that in a way they are appropriating ur culture? I feel a way when I see ppl who are cultureless doing it but then I feel a way about this too but just not as much because they actually have culture. I’m Nigerian and I feel a way when I see black Americans appropriating my culture because for so long yall hated TF out of us and called us African booty scratchers. I’ve been told by a black American chick I’m pretty to be African. I’m told we think we are better than them. So I’m just wondering?💚🇳🇬🇯🇲
I associate low riders, dickies and Nike Cortez’s with blacks and Hispanics am I right or wrong idk.💚🇳🇬🇯🇲
@@NY-ci1tj it Mexican - American culture
You're a gavacho mareeka though .
I’m Asian and I love Mexican candy, watching them eat it had me cracking lmao. Man they have some of the dopest cars I ever seen and I grew up in SoCal in the 90’s so I’ve seen tons of low riders.
Man, I respect these Japanese folks. They have some really clean cars & admire the culture. That is pretty good stuff. A TON OF $$$$$ Rolling over there looks like.
Trip out, .......who would have ever thought that Chicano culture would have crossed the world 2 see such a revival ...... Orale home boys, keep it alive !
The Lowrider scene in Japan is nothing new. I sold my 63 Impala to Japan in the mid 90's - 25 years ago.
If it wasn’t for the Spaniard our raza would of been god like, remember. We invented more then 7 edibles chocolate, and the almighty corn just to name a few, are culture is really deep nobody on the face of the earth has an equivalent to the RAZA! Just imagine if you were born non Mexican I go crazy. 🤟🏽
@@zelloking Wrong. Do more research homeboy. It was the Olmecs who came a thousand years before the Aztecs. Mexicans didnt even exist. The Mayans and Aztecs picked it up from the Olmecs who came from the North.
Our Japanese brothers have some badass rides 👍
I’m a Chicano from Hawaii growing up there wasn’t a lot of us and if they was our Hawaiian family tried covering it up.. as I got older I embraced it more and let it be known that I was half Mexican.Good to see other countries following the lifestyle God, family and cars 🤙🏽🔥
Respect to them and respect the Chicano culture 🇯🇵
I got the upmost respect for the Japanese showing our Raza love.
Definitely on my bucket list to hit up Japan’s super show. Awesome flick
Very cool, coming from Los Angeles and building custom cars and street rods on my days off, I grew up around the Chicano Culture. Nice work, simone esse.

It’s cool cause Americans love jdm and the Japanese culture that’s why they get all emo and anime and shit but this is hella dope they make crazy cars and the fact that they love and respect our culture is more then awesome
The Mexican candy for the 1st time🤣🤣🤣🤣
Órale not bad at all this Japanese people are real homeboys they have great taste in our Mexican culture great looking cars .

That's firme how are Chicano culture lowriders the whole stylio reaches an touches different gentae even in Japon.they embrace it .IAM very proud of my culture and where are from an where are going .R
there is a video here on youtube that talks about how this shit got started in japan.
from what i remember, some Japanese guys came over during the like 70 or 80s and they fell in love with the style when they went back to japan they started making their own cars like this.
I looked couldn't find the video but you can find a lot if you put "Chicano culture Japan" into the youtube search bar
@@0Heeroyuy01 Thanks for the info.iam going to have check it out sometime.
@@rubencruz5062 not a problem its actually kind of interesting
Yeah but then it becomes a Sub culture
Just like the Vaquero was Mexican
Then Hollywood and gringos took
Over it and people think its white and it ain't. Theirs people now saying
Lowriders are black and asian
And they claim it as thiers not chicanos .
They really know their stuff in japan those cars are beautiful, the custom styling is amazing, plus those ladies or models are gorgous.
I noticed that too, Japanese girls are firme.
It must have cost a fortune to transport those Classics to Japan + parts& labor$$$
Oh man, the cars and women!
Those guys in Japan really have it going on!
Best video yet!
And I'll even give you a pass on the tacos, considering wear you were.
🤔Imagine a hooked up truck like the one Cartoon owns rolls up unannounced to a lowrider super show in Tokyo. Then... They do the unthinkable. They start cooking tacos al pastor and asada tacos and burritos. Everybody at the show would lose their freak'n minds.
"All good in your Hood Japan!"
✌😁👍Peace...
Sweet video!
2:20 is that a California license plate? Soo cool🔥

Carl G. 🙏🏼😎👑💯👊🏼
I’m in love with the mercury
You then should see the other Mercs Hideki has built and still builds, easily some of the best in the entire world. He's been at it for the past 30 years, an amazing talent
Me, too! My dream car!
Eating the Mexican candy 😂😂😂🤙🏾
What up, Japan is LOWRIDING NICE.
I am a true Mexican American born in East Los Angeles OG Sureno now my barrio is in Hikone Shiga where wifey & I bought a huge crib, love to kick and connect with Chicano's in Japan, I'm back & forth from Hawaii fixing up my crib until I retire in 2 years. Put the word out this true OG Eas Los want's to connect - I cook mean Mexican Food... Viva la Raza!
A estos Asian vatos les gusta andar con Tokyo 🤟😎🇲🇽
Paleta de sandia con chile jajaja
I'm 5 minutes into video wondering when they going to get out of California and show Japan. But this was Japan the whole time. They more Chicano than some of us. That's what threw me off
Representing the Chicano culture but having second thoughts on the Mexican candy...🤣
That was pretty cool.
Love this
Absolutely love the Japanese culture but this is totally on my level. Much respect Hai!
Respect to Japanese lowrider culture!
That was really nice. Keep it up!
Best motor scene in years.funfunfun
I can not help but notice quite a few cars that were confiscated and sold over seas... Cars like this in America are exceedingly rare. Yes we have low riders, but the answer is really economic. Most people now can't afford housing. So the car scene here is on a hard pause, for years now.
Bad ass video!!
Congratulations to my dear Japanese friends!
I never knew the Japanese got down like that..lol..Much love to the Japanese. I'm gonna have to bring my hoppers out there
They been doing it since the 90's
Que bueno que les gusten los carros classicos a los japoneses llo tengo 2 regal 81 y 2 monte Carlos 79 chulada de carros los dos un saludo a todos los japoneses

They aren't imports in Japan you fuccn genius.
"COOL" !
Over there they pay top dollar 💵
Haha now I know where all the 409s went.
who is the music in this video?
It is hard enough finding parts for old/classic cars in the State, so what the hell do they do for parts in Japan??
🇲🇽❤️🇯🇵
If you came to Australia how would b you feel about the amount of kustom cars here that are 4 doors?
only a continental as far as a classic.....other then that!!!!pssshhh!!! looks wack!!! jes my opinion.
Keep it low and clean. Nice tunes so you feel the baseline and I'm sure everyone will appreciate it. Early Big body station wagons out here in Cali always surprised me how cool they look. We all know how they drive. " Like a boat on a lake. Smoooooth... "
4- doors are perfect for “drive-by’s” and I’d absolutely roll one. It’s gotta be old , low , and slow.
