This might be an unpopular opinion, but these are the best cut scenes I've ever seen relating to DMC. The character models all look amazing (I especially love Nero's design, he literally looks like a different person).
Unpopular opinion: Kinda preferred DMC3/DMC4's Artstyle overall. DMC5's looked fine, but honestly wished the series would have continued from the previous Artstyle.
Yeah I love Gothic Japanese art style too. I prefer more darker version like Night head genesis elfen lied cryingfreeman and Sanctuary . I guess anime style is not possible with re7 engine

It's Japanese art style, because it's made by Japanese. But it isn't as anime as JRPGs or games like FF, Valkyria Chronicles, Resonance of Fate, The Last Remnant etc. Those games will never look like Western games. But I think it always had it's own unique look, style and genre.

Basically the entire VA/etc ‘community’, including ‘friends’ he’d worked with for over a decade, ruthlessly stabbing him in the back, lashing out with vile and downright insane tweets/etc at fans/peers/anyone who refuses to condemn him as the devil without seeing real evidence in a court of law rather than hashtags on Twitter... absolute disgrace. Someone mentioned Vic in a podcast or something and Reuben said “I know Vic, we’ve met several times, he’s a really nice guy, and I just have a hard time believing that he’s secretly some kind of sexual predator based solely on rumor and hearsay..” (paraphrase) and basically that it’s not cool to judge someone guilty in the court of public opinion online and try to ruin their life based on ‘he said, she said, she said, he said, her cousin said...’ without a proper investigation and fair trial with, you know, actual *evidence* and all that... ie what any sane, decent human being should say... unfortunately, sanity and decency are in short supply in the VA/etc scene, as Reuben is still the only one to date who’s been willing to stand up for the guy- and because of it, the same lunatics trying to destroy Vic are now attacking DMC and Reuben since he actually had the balls to speak up with some basic sense, which is something these people obviously hate with a passion... like I said, disgraceful... though more recently, only after a lot of persuasion from fans/etc, Vic reluctantly accepted a gofundme or something campaign which got over $100k in donations within a few days to hire legal representation ‘to try to salvage something of his career so he can continue to do what he loves and hopefully please the fans who have been been devastated by this...’, though he refused to directly accept the donations and arranged for a third party to handle the money and that anything in excess of legal fees would be donated to charity... which just shows how ridiculously nice the guy is... strangely enough, now that he has a lawyer and is taking the issue to a real court, where there’s a thing called ‘perjury’, almost all of the ‘allegations’ and #metoo shenanigans have suddenly disappeared and/or been struck with amnesia, and will *not* be testifying... funny how people’s stories tend to change once there may be serious consequences for lying... also, multiple reliable sources have mentioned over the past few days that it has come to the attention of Toei, the Japanese company who ultimately owns 90% of all Anime, that Funimation, the US company they’ve granted the license to oversee US localization and distribution of said Anime, is, via their miscellaneous jackassery involving Vic, causing severe damage to the reputations- and profitability- of several of Toei’s top franchises, including Dragon Ball, the most popular anime in history... And Toei is *not* amused... so unamused that there may or may not be internal discussions regarding whether or not they should *reevaluate* their business relationship with Funimation going forward... which could prove to be rather catastrophic for Funimation... so there’s that... It’s a *long* story...

Also, many cutscenes are actually completely new, they're not just remakes of the OG cutscenes. 4:38 Kyrie is a freaking beauty! I hate these cutscenes, because now I'm just cursing CAPCOM for not making a DMC 4 remake with those graphics xD!

Nero has a square jaw, that's a problem but that's not due to photorealism. If anything, the biggest issue of DMCV graphics isn't photorealism, but the greyish colors when you don't play with HDR on.

It's probably because the pachinko guys aren't the same team as the game devs. it's a completely different branch of Capcom. Lot of japanese companies do that, like Bandai or Konami.

I swear... i love DMC5 like crazy !!! But the artstyle of Nero from this game is 100% better. Not really sure about Lady or Trish but... this Lady was way too hot and Trish look a bit older at 5 😕.
Not dissing either version of the characters in any way, because I like both DMC 5 Nero and Vergil. But I like them better in the pachinko game. They look more like their original selves but just better. In 5 they look a bit more different. Not commenting on Dante because that guy looks badass everywhere.
I don't think I hate Pachinko machines. I've come to accept them as part of Japanese culture, especially otaku culture in Japan. It comes with the territory as a fan of Japanese gaming. Then again, if you dislike pachinkos, just remember that they're part of Japan, folks. And Devil May Cry was originated from Japan anyway. Just sayin.

To quote him: "I was like, "I'm not too sure I'm doing this properly," especially with things like the visuals changing a lot as well. I wasn't too worried about the North American audience, but there was definitely the perception that the Japanese audience might not like the shift away from anime. Maybe they want to kind of have that same anime look, but seeing all the positive reception during the E3 announcement kind of re-instilled that confidence back in me that was like, "Okay, I'm making the right moves here. They have a reasonable tie to realism and normal proportions (even though the female are a bit busty) the have high detailed models and faces and expressions. It's more realistic, if fantastic and over the top, be more akin to RE 4-6.

@@SlayerSeraph Itsuno himself referred to the previous style as anime looking. I can refer you to the interview if you like. To quote him: "I was like, "I'm not too sure I'm doing this properly," especially with things like the visuals changing a lot as well. I wasn't too worried about the North American audience, but there was definitely the perception that the Japanese audience might not like the shift away from anime. Maybe they want to kind of have that same anime look, but seeing all the positive reception during the E3 announcement kind of re-instilled that confidence back in me that was like, "Okay, I'm making the right moves here. @@ElegeantFencer interesting, but I never considered those DMCs anime. They have their own individual style. They have a reasonable tie to realism and normal proportions (even though the female are a bit busty) the have high detailed models and faces and expressions.
It's more realistic, if fantastic and over the top, be more akin to RE 4-6.
@@SlayerSeraph DMC is always been very Anime since first game. Original creator of Devil May Cry Kayima say Dante personality and design was base on Anime character name Cobra. Hell their some Jojo reference in DMC1.
@@ElegeantFencer I think Devil May Cry photorealism was big mistake it keep Anime look. And now Street Fighter is next. This is why I don't support modern Capcom.
I really really love the devil mat cry 4s character design and castle with beautiful slow motion timing and gameplays...dmc 5 removed that all that all i hate...waiting for dmc 6 to make a comeback like dmc 2 flopped and dmc 3 came back strongly..
