i dont know why people think the grill on this car is ugly... to my eyes it looks great imo
we have a 2007 and we love it, its loaded sport/tech/entertainment.. my 5 yo girl loves it too :)
Just sold my 11 MDX Adv+Ent with +155,000 to my nephew that is expecting his second kid (his Civic is getting too small). Everything still worked, performed, handled, and looked excellent all the years I've had the MDX. My oil consumption was limited to 1.5 qts per 9500 mile oil change interval and my magnetic struts/shocks were replaced for free under Acura basic/extended warranties.
The "bird beak" grill looks the best on the MDX, They should go back to the older grills for the other cars in their lineup.

that's a matter of opinion buddy. and people buy this vehicle for the reliability partially.
Sexy! The RDX and MDX are the only two SUVs I would buy.
@bg1379 well that's you all. you're welcome to your opinions. I'm of a different generation with a different point of view. BY all means, if you don't or didn't like it, then don't buy it. The MDX outsold the TL by 13k in 2010. An interesting note is that post-facelift sales (2009 and 2010 combined) are just shy of 2007 sales ALONE (FOR AN AGING PLATFORM!) and FAR LESS that any single year between 2004 and 2006 (remembering that this is BEFORE the gas price hysterics even drove people to sedans!!)
So, it is clear to me that the majority of car shoppers do in fact think that the 2009-10 TL was not appealing and DID NOT BUY IT. Consider how quickly it was facelifted.

Hey Steve, have you seen the 2012 acura TL refresh? if so, what do you think of it? i personally loved it before and still love it now.
They dumbed it down. 12 refresh made it look like the boring rest

i think they should have a category called 2 1/4 row seating for cars like this, as nice as it is to have an extra row, realistically it seems no one can fit back there
@bg1379 sales flop?...its acuras best selling vehicle...and i think it looks awesome...only acura besides the tsx to use the "beak" well

its because he has the advance package and that costs alot and is not a good deal

Not a perfect choice as a first car. MDX is more like a family suv. You might want to get a used RDX. Pick a first generation RDX (model year 07-12) as it is cheaper, more fun to drive and looks great IMO.

The 3rd row makes me feel very claustrophobic They should make 2 seats in the 2nd row and 3 in the 3rd. Its very unsafe.
I agree with most of what he said, especially the sportiness of it, but the faux wood is too abundant and some of the worst I've seen. I was considering this vehicle until I test drove it and realized it lacks options of those costing 10k less. Maybe they will redesign in 2013

Really?! The vast majority of people thought that it was hideous, myself included. That's why it was, overall, a sales flop. Nothing near either 2 previous generations.
