It’s not difficult though? You’d be holding a direction on the digital joystick, and when you tap the joystick is going to go to the center and back into the same position. It’s on console where it really sucks since you do actually have to wiggle the stick back and forth.
@@tfx9223 bro u have to double tap, plus if ur fighting a boss so you would be moving, so when u try to dash u will stop momentarily so it pretty useless
calamity has definitely helped improve my boss fight skills, im definitely still pretty shit but like…making it through several death mode playthroughs is certainly worth something right, like especially with providence specifically, in my current playthrough (almost done, just gotta do boss rush) i actually managed to learn providences attacks and dodge accordingly (somewhat) where in the past i moved around sporadically and hoped it would work, it also helps that late game wings in calamity have such insane mobility that weaving around projectiles is really easy, the amount of times i had to suddenly react to a projectile hitting me and i managed to weave around it in an instant is crazy
I agree that dashes could be useful if you don’t have issues with them, but from my experience I can’t stand using them. They only ever kill me because I dash into projectiles while trying to make small movements, and any time they could be useful I forget I have a dash. I usually just use the magiluminescence (or soaring insignia later on) and it’s always been more than enough. The only time I ever use dashing accessories anymore is when I have mods that can disable their effects (helpful hotkeys or calamity’s ball and chain [shield of cthulhu’s defense boost is great early game]).
I normally use menacing because I like to kill boss fast but on harder mods I use quick in the beginning to maximize speed but realistically warding is the only worth it one
@sungodrav1nce61 a little bit of both but considering I haven't played much of eternity I have only noticed the infernium changes. However the boss textures are that of eternity so I may be mistaken on the battle changes only coming from infernium.
From a Terraria player with 2500 hours, I would like you to know that warding in almost every scenario is entirely useless. Especially in harder difficulties and post-hardmode. In expert/master mode, warding gives 3/4 damage reduction. This is negligible when dealing with attacks that deal 150-450 damage each. Menacing is the way to go for every class, in every part of the game*. A shorter time to kill mean less time for the boss to kill you and less time you need to focus during a fight. * The only exception to this is post Plantera on ranger. In that case, Lucky is the way to go. Menacing gives you a 28% damage bonus if equipped in all 7 slots (master mode). Lucky, on the other hand, with the right gear and accessories can total to 100% crit chance, giving you effectively double damage.
You make very good points. I like warding better especially in master mode, because in master mode, defense is calculated differently rather than in normal/expert mode and has 50% more efficiency as it would in normal mode. For example, taking a hit of 400 while you have, say 180 defense, you would take 310 damage in normal mode. In master mode, you would take 220 damage. I think a 90 HP difference is quite a significant value. Add warding on all accessories (208 defense now) and you would take 192 damage on master mode. (The difference of 28 HP from 220 damage). Arguably, that isn't a whole lot but to me, that 28 HP difference can make the difference of life or death. Either way, that's why I prefer it over menacing just because it scales a lot better in master mode than it would in normal mode. Plus, I just like the idea of being as tanky as possible.
@@SaltPileMan I would love to see this video. I've been a huge fan of menacing/lucky since basically right after 1.3 came out and I actually learned how to play the game, and since then, I haven't really ever batted an eye at warding, especially when there is damage reduction items like worm scarf, brain of confusion, MNG and hallowed armour.
Pc players using a dash:😊
Mobile players using a dash:💀
No shit

@@wawa_69 you have to slow down a little I guess, but I personally found console to be more annoying
Use summons even if you don't play summoner
Fr its just extra dps

Since I m playing fargos menacing is absolutely amazing cause u know after memorizing attack pattern u only just need good dps to beat the boss

Seems like skill issue smh
It probably is but I’m more comfortable without dashes so that’s what I’m sticking with
Playing getfixedboi master mode, with my brother. We haven't been the same since eater of worlds..
Oh boy wait until you face the Wall of Flesh.
Wait till bro fights mechdusa

If you need a really high dps, make use of mounts to free up some movement accessory slots for dps accessories
Bundle of balloons + Scutlix ftw
Getting scutlix mount on the other hand is another story
Warding is overrated. I prefer Quick modifier for movement speed
This would help but uhhh I'm playing infernuem along with eternity mode
I’m interested, do the eternity mode au changes do things or is it infernum au changes that take place

What mod is that? That has the debuffs on top of ur charac
Its fargo's souls mod. eternity mode.

He is legit the easiest mech boss

Warding is also good in eternity mode (Fargos mods)
warding is insane what is buddy saying
Sorbet Cafe made a video showing why warding is better than menacing in most situations
