- We came across this place in Kerala which offers spending time with elephants. Elephant bathing was on our bucket list since a very long time and we were able to do this in Thekkady. They have different packages which include elephant bathing, feeding, rides and much more. Watch the video to know more.
This is going to be one of our most favorite memory that we will cherish.

We humans are so gullible to believe that these magestic creatures are having ‘fun’ with humans day in and day out. Rescued beings should be left alone to heal from previous trauma. 💔
As much as it looks like these gorgeous creatures love these baths imagine why it’s fun to have bath all the time. And those sticks in mahoots hand have spurs at the end of them 😢. Chains and sticks don’t look very fun.
May we stop trying to ride everything we see for our ‘fun’. I would just go there to see these beauties enjoy and live their happy lives ❤
We spoke to the person managing the place and got to know that the elephants require this much physical engagement. We’re sure they must be limiting their activities. And the sticks are used by the caretakers just for safety reasons as they’re wild animals.

Whats the price of this package...and is elephant bathing worth the price
They have a package of INR 1,000 per person which includes bathing and feeding the elephants. It also includes tea/coffee. We loved the experience and think it’s absolutely worth it.

After the fun ends , the elephant is kept in chains and beaten to obey until the next visitor arrives to have "fun"
Its not necessery that all elephants must be beaten to make them obeyed

rescued from a circus. They're not caged,
they're domesticated and get enough
food and rest at this place. They have put
some chains to ensure that the trainers
have some control on them so that the
people are not at risk of being harmed.
The giants love water and these activities
are kind of exercises for them

The cheapest way to reach from Bangalore to Thekkady is bus to Thekkady and takes 8h 45m. The fastest way to reach from Bangalore to Thekkady is flight to Madurai Airport, then cab to Thekkady and takes 3h 40m
