Hi Merton and Sue, We are so happy to have it working again. We are praying this is the last time that one of the actuators fail. Thank you for all your support and comments. Have a wonderful rest of your week.
Sorry to hear about all the problems you and everyone has had with the new roof lift system. These campers are so much fun to travel with and so many owners are broken hearted over the breakdowns. We lucked out in 2020 and got an early year model before the switch was made and count our lucky stars every time we raise the roof. We hope this is the last of your troubles.
Thank you for the kind words. We still love our popup for sure. We are making great memories in it. We have been very blessed to be able to work through all these breakdowns and pray we are now golden. We are glad you have the early model with no issues. It is certainly a bad feeling when you are camping and can’t lower your top. Hopefully our experiences will help others that are struggling with similar issues. :-)
Thank you, We are praying that our actuators do not break anymore. This has been a long ordeal the past 18 months with these not working and being replaced so many times. Have a blessed day.
As you were removing that and you were saying that the new one was supposed to be there on Monday and it was Sunday, I was thinking oh no the new one won't show up when it was expected. I'm guessing the actuator helps raise and lower the top? ~ Kevin, Pat, and Sugar
Good morning Kevin, Pat, Sugar and mama Cali, Fred is good at managing our mail deliveries between campgrounds, much better than me. We did get it as promised on Monday at our new campground. There are four actuators that lift the popup and boy have ours given us a fit. Praying this is the last time we have to replace one for years to come.
Just bought 4 of these from FR. I'm in dry Henderson NV and hope these last longer than the crappy oem ones. I think I killed the oems from the self service car wash because I sure as hell don't get much rain ..
Could you share the part number on the actuators themselves, not the kit? Also, could you share your point of contact at palomino/forest river for procurement of this kit? Thank you!
So sorry you are going through this issue as well. We do not have a part number. As for a point of contact we were emailed and told to not share that information anymore. You can check or description and other actuator videos to find it. We are pretty sure it’s still there.
We paid for the first set because it just went out of warrenry. They failed so Forrest River paid for the next set and the install. When one them failed they sent us one free but Fred installed the new one himself and was not paid. 😉 we were so glad to get it fixed.
We see Palomino met lots of problem with their actuators but why they do not consider a real water proof linear actuator for their system? Because of the cost?
Thank you so much for your comment. The new Palominos come with different actuators that are supposed to be water proof. After Forest River replaced that actuator in the video all has been going well. It was a long journey for us but we pray that we now have the kinks worked out. It has been a good summer for our Palomino so far. We have no clue why they took so long to work through their actuator issues.
Were your original ones the Rico Titans.. that’s what I have now and I’m having problems with one they said they would only replace it with the same one. I tried to get them to give me the progressive.
We did not have the Rico Titans. They would not replace ours with the progressives we had to purchase them. We had so many issues with our actuators and we had some replaced for free and some we had to pay for before we got the kinks worked out.
@@TheEdelKampers ty for taking the time to answer much appreciated. It’s really a shame you spend all this money and then have to cross your fingers every time you’re putting your top up or down they’ve had a recall on these God bless. Hope to see you too out the road one day.
@@Wylde5150 we agree. If you ever see us on the road please come by. You never know when we may cross paths. Hope that these actuators do not cause too many others issues.SAFE TRAVELS :)
Good to see you guys got it back into working order. Hope that's the last time you have problems! >Merton & Sue

Glad that was a quick fix this time.
Praying it lasts.

Besides the one odd ball failure ours have been working great. Hope all this is behind us both. 👍🏻

That was fun! Who paid for the labor? 😁
