    Imagine every time we sit on a bus or a train we absorb someone else’s energy (sometimes you literally feel it - as the seat is still warm!) but also residual energy of others sitting on that seat throughout the day… it is short term but still it constantly is intertwined with our energy that’s why living in big cities makes us feel tired. Also hot desking in the offices… the shared bicycles we ride, the cars and flats we rent….

    • @godschildyes
      @godschildyes 6 місяців тому +1

      That's why I don't ride on those. I always felt horrible energy on buses! 😮

    • @mjinba07
      @mjinba07 6 місяців тому +1

      Seems unreasonable that one should avoid contact with all things that others have "imbued" with their energies just through contact. For starters, they weren't the only ones to have contact with the object, especially not on public transportation. And most people's energy is just fine.
      Secondly, e v e r y t h i n g has been handled by someone else. Right down to whomever gathered the raw materials for manufacture. Buddhism emphasizes this - interdependence. We can be grateful for everyone's contribution to the objects and conditions that make up the landscape of our lives and enable our continued growth.
      Thirdly, every time we honor and accommodate anxiety, we reinforce it. Stepping over a crack in the sidewalk only increases one's superstition that stepping on it will bring bad luck.
      So how can one live with this strategy? The only way would be like a monk, in an isolated place of nature with only a few objects that were personally vetted. This isn't a sensible option for most people. We're born into this world, we navigate and live in the world.
      It makes more sense to maintain one's own energy boundary, not letting external energies into one's personal space when they're not desirable. Keeping your own home free of negative vibes is one thing, engaging with the world is another. We don't have to absorb energies willynilly, and we shouldn't. We also shouldn't try to wall ourselves off from it.

    • @gemmahart3985
      @gemmahart3985 6 місяців тому +2

      @@mjinba07 well said, I agree, I was just saying that big cities can be tiring, because of the amount of energy that goes around. But, now I think it is mainly tiring because of noise, pollution, fast food, etc, not primarily people’s energies. yesterday I was thinking of my this comment and realised that the places where there are people (not too crowded ,but lively places) do energise me. That’s why people like to dine out, go to shops and cafes, theatres. I have an option to work from home but I choose to be in the office as I like being in the flow and interact with others in real rather than remotely. This can also create attachments. It’s all about balance… which is easier said than done though…

    • @mjinba07
      @mjinba07 6 місяців тому +1

      @@gemmahart3985 I hear you. I lived in a large metropolitan city for 20 years. A fairly nice one actually. While all the resources and available activities were great - arts, restaurants, specialty shops, differing cultures, etc. - I eventually started feeling overstimulated by the hubbub, the noise, the smells, the constant motion... So I relocated to a small town where things move at a slower pace. There are drawbacks for sure but life's more manageable.
      I've been "out in the sticks" for almost 30 years now and don't regret it one bit. When I go back to the city for visits or errands, it's easier to handle even though it's gotten so much bigger and busier.
      I do think objects and places can have their own energies, and also that our own sense of peace can work its way into our homes and frequented spaces. I've seen it in action. But the video probably goes too far in warning about every day objects and "inheriting" negative energy automatically. We're just not that fragile. And we do have to practice boundaries.
      You're absolutely right about balance, too. Good luck to you!

Are they contributing to the transfer of bad energies from previous owners? Should we not buy from them anymore? Thank you for sharing your experience! It's amazing how liberating it can feel to let go of things that no longer serve us. This aligns so well with Buddhist teachings about detachment and finding inner peace. How has embracing this sense of freedom impacted your life moving forward? We'd love to hear more from you and keep the conversation going!

    🤔 I guess this means I'll need to remember to bring my own salt shaker with me whenever we go out to eat. Can you imagine the chaos that could be associated in just one salt shaker used in a restaurant by so many different people??!! 🤯🤪

      Wasing with water ( & soap! ) was a literal cleanse ( cleaning method) to purify an object . Maybe a little tiny bit of salt in the water or a little visualization of cleansing & / prayer will be the trick.

      I think by extending usage of such things which we personally consider perfect, valuable we show respect to those who made it and by that we show respect to people before us at all. There is a creators soul in things , and not much soul of their previous users. Beautifull perfect things were made by beautifull people who were capable to develop them
      Throwing away on basic that thing was already possesed by someone means disregard to people and overvaluating self over others., .If we do not consider something as magic like say dress of very famous person then old possesion is easy to reset and by adding our values to it with time it may be gone. Of course not all things should be recognized as valuable and perfect spaecialy when are visibly wear, not uniqualy designed and disponsable as salt vallet or matress
