Hello! I have a few questions. I haven't been able to find the answers. 1. Is this rechargeable? 2. You have to keep the wifi On in order to work? 3. Can you connect the frame to the computer?
so how much is the app and is this a yearly account...this is not clear to me
It's great if your only interested in new photos being sent to you but it's worthless when it comes to downloading your own photos stored on your phone.

Yes it does
I am a "grandmother" and I found this to be very easy to set up. I just followed the prompts displayed on the screen and my phone. Surprisingly had it working in just a few minutes.
I ordered two for my friend: one that uses SD cards and thumb drive and the other just wifi. He is not very tech savvy, but even he can use this (if he can reset his wifi password lol). Note that without wifi, if you choose to use the frame with USB/SD cards, the photos are not stored on the frame, so it's more like looking through an actual digital picture album - you have to change the USB or card to see the photos stored on those particular cards.

Can i create in app different folders and playlists? Do video clips work and what durations and formats?
My brother set it up before giving it to the folks for a gift. He texted all the kids and grandkids with all the instructions to download the app and what email address to use for my folks. Worked great as my folks are a bit overwhelmed with technology. Wish there were more details on the remote functions. Beautiful product that works great. Photos were sent from all over the country for Christmas.
So do you put pictures on this via email or the app? I'm looking for one that I can set up in my mom's house and all of us kids can send pictures to her through an app. Would this work? Thanks in advance.
So if I set up and load pics to give to grandparents what is the best way they can easily start to use it once it arrives at their house? after I download the app, do I create an account using my email address and wifi or should I use their email address and wait to receive a friend request? I upload my pictures, but they do not seem to go onto my screen. How do I fix that?
This is the very best digital display unit. It is the highlight of our kitchen where we have the display on the counter. We wake up to new pictures of our kids and grandkids each day and so are able to see them in their active lives and feel we are part of their activities. I have purchased multiple units for family members and especially through COVID, feel very connected.
Easy to set up and use - don't be afraid of it. Once its up and running you'll be so glad you took a few minutes to enter info into the settings.
Best gift you could give a shut in friend or relative.
Are the pictures still there if your not connected to wifi? And it does not have an SD Card. I cant see the use if theres no pictures stored in the fram and it takes no SD Card

Can this frame be set up to always automatically display photos from Google Photos? I have the Google Photos app on my phone and want it to automatically sync always - don't want to have to email the pics or upload them all the time to another app just to get them on the photo frame. Yep, you can turn a Google Photos album into a playlist that you can then display on the frame. You can't share it through the app though, unlike a "normal" playlist, so you'd need to share the Google Photos album instead.

I don*t understand why none of these frames have a batrey / power bank built in them like a tablet dose? It is annoying to keep it always plugged in.
unfortunately wifi connection all day everyday will drain the battery and you will have to recharge the thing way too often to be worth it. if you want to upload new photos to it at random times you are going to want it always connected.

won't connect to wifi, I have 2 wifi connections, only one shows and it will not connect, have no problem with other devices - and there is no solution to this so beware

@@SSchus87 Yup, you can do that. You can share a playlist with one of your friends on the app, and they can then upload any photo to the playlist you shared with them. Max 10 people you can share each playlist to.

Batteries are nowhere near that capable, yet. It would be on the charger a few times a day
To me this is lame cause if it doesnt go by sd card or usb thumb drive I dont want it cause that cloud/google based shit is skynet.
What does it need with a "motion detector?" It feels as if it is an eye into my bedroom. I don't trust it and am considering sending this "spy" back to Big Brother.
The purpose of the motion detector (if you choose to use it) is to activate the frame on when you enter the area so it only cycles thru pictures when you are in the room.

Where exactly is the power connection for wall hanging? Seems like with the screw wall mounts, the cord would interfere with the frame hanging flush to the wall.
Hi Michael, if you hold the base of that electric cord ans slide to the left it will pop right off revealing the wall mount intake. Hope this helps
