- Adam Gold and David McKenzie, Intellectual Property Law/NIL, on the latest regarding the FSU lawsuit vs the ACC.
What benefit does this have to anyone? “He who files first, gets to go first.” Where are we at when it comes to the merits of this? What does David think about the settlement number and what it says to him? What did FSU bring up that David thought was a “low blow” in a legal setting that was unnecessary?

McKenzie comes across as too emotionally invested. FSU’s exit will not come down to who has the better legal arguments - any lawyer who practices knows that litigation is only a point of leverage and not the be all end all. FSU will pay more to get out than has been let on and the ACC’s litigation funding is not limitless. In the end (which is nearing), FSU will get out of the conference and end up in a favorable financial position (most likely the B1G). The real question is what happens to the ACC at large and the “Tobacco Road” heritage and pride that’s at the heart of McKenzie’s take. While his legal assessments MAY end up being correct, his emotional tone and anti-FSU slant suggest he knows full well that FSU will get what it wants at the expense of his beloved ACC.
You can just wave goodbye to FSU as they leave the ACC in a cloud of dust in a couple of weeks...
Adam why don't you ever get somebody from the FSU side, or perspective. It's always someone pro ACC that doesn't like FSU.
We know why. This guy is a stooge
ACC has successfully stalled thus far and kept the substance of these cases from being covered thus far. The cases haven’t even really started yet.
Teams will eventually break out of the ACC prison, but no one knows how long it will take assuming settlement continues to not be an option.
I would argue that the ACC is extremely pleased that judge Cooper takes forever to do anything and helps them drag this out
Judge Cooper does take forever but he made sure FSU had it right so his ruling doesn’t get overturned
No matter who's right or wrong this ESPN media deal is a bad deal for its members.
This guy just tweeted about FSU and Clemson having a advantage now because of sovereign immunity from a federal case that happened on May 8 and they may actually be able to claim it now that there is case law wondering why he didn’t speak on it but I get it he hates that FSU and Clemson will eventually win
Because they're both 🤡 🤡
Honestly shocking he would say anything negative about the acc's case when he's blocked anybody who points out weaknesses in the acc's argument to him
So many people of importance have debunked Mckenzie numerous times. He just hates FSU
LMAO Dude is a clown. Holy embarrassing
McKenzie has been pretty thorough through this and fair. He's a baller.
Good information, but you started out shaky. Stanford and California didn't join today, only SMU comes on board right now, the other two join next month.
