As a former accountant and financial systems architect, yes, that included business analysis, I got burned out and got into trucking, as I had some previous experience. Sadly, you are the only one in this chaos of excitement to actually speak the truth about the numbers. And, let's not forget to add the overhead expense, of insurance and maintenance. Yes, it is a very entry level business, I did it to get started, to get all the paperwork done, and get my authority seasoned, so i can then join up with the other brokers, and eventually graduate to a semi-tractor. One needs volume of miles, and consistency to earn the real money. Box trucking is extremely challenging, I am lucky because I live in the middle of two major centers, so I have choices, but it is still a challenge. Thank you for your sincere honesty, I do hope people listen before they make the plunge. Great job.
We live 15 miles from one distribution center and a few miles from another close. Amazon don’t give a F about truckers and they treat u like a child wanting to issue what they think u deserve. Not worth it, they SUCK!!!!
wow its crazy that I live in Lavergne Tn. My plan wad to run relay for a few months to gain a good rating before self dispatching. Would you say if I lived in Lavergne it would be viable? thanks for the content
La Vergne is where everything comes out of right now, so it will be viable for this peak season. what would concern me is what might change when the Knoxville dc opens next summer. might see a big hit.
@@builtonboxes4374 Thank you for that info. I am really on the fence about jumping in. Even down to do some OTR but still researching to pull the trigger or not.
@@builtonboxes4374 I'm buying a semi and power only loads, I've looked at the load board when other drivers come in and there's always tons of loads available, btw I work at Amazon Transportation, hostler driver and trailer shuttling, guard shack, yard audits etc.definately looking at other load boards as well
Thanks for sharing. How can I know what is available and if this will work for me if I have yet to get a truck and do not have access? If it is this bad are you still doing relay?
hey sorry I missed this content. Best thing is to try and connect someone else you know with access to the Amazon load board, and have them look for you. Also, DAT board will give you free access for one month. Good luck!
I don't wanna b the riches man in the world, then treat my carriers like crap. U r one greedy dude jeff. It started by outsourcing the ROC to a 3rd world country who know nothing about road closures n winter weather. They barely speak English and dont know a think about trucking. I c this going downhill soon. His only salvation is to do autonomous trucks/box trucks. He can afford to buy his entire fleet of self driving trucks and then he can pay himself $1.13/per mile. Good luck w that Jeffy. I hear u on this. Iam a prime member. Iam paying more for items on amazon, if his highest cost is transportation. Why is he paying $1.24 for semi trucks???

Knoxville is a great area for Amazon frieght now!!!
My sentiments exactly. Amazon's rates suck.
Amazon Relay is too saturated.

Good video I bought one of my trucks from Nacarato there in Tennessee

You are so welcome! Thank you for your support!
There's like 20 Amazon facilities in DFW,I wonder if I could profit ?
from my understanding, tons of competition for equipment and business in DFW. I'd definitely do lots of research.

Quick question. What’s the ideal time to look at the load board? Early am?

Everyone single company wants to move freight as cheap as they possibly can not just Amazon
fair point, but I wasn't saying that phenomenon was exclusive to amazon
