You should do a Fabspeed exhaust install on the 720s. It was a huge pain for the dealer, and required special clamps that were not supplied by Fabspeed.
Maybe Fabspeed isn't the right exhaust to be using then ;-) The exhausts I sell come with everything required, and 720 catbacks are a huge pain, very time consuming. I don't even want to do one on my own car because it's such a pain.
I don't know who all is making Artura exhaust but the most expensive one isn't always a fantastic value. I'm guessing cheaper ones aren't being made yet though.
“How do know it’s been off before”? “People broke stuff last time” lol Nice video, that right angle tool is a life saver, mines saved me a bunch of time
Good guide as usual. Not a big fan of the cosmetics of the exhaust but each to his own. Is the lack of heat shielding not an issue? When I changed over to a Larini exhaust system I replaced all the hardware on the Norma clamps to Ti to avoid corrosion and tarnishing.
The tips you could to some degree do what you wanted to do, the rest of it is what happens to titanium when you heat it from welding or simply being installed. I haven't found the lack of heat shield to be an issue on any cars. Notably, the factory system is physically larger and closer to things back there for the most part. So, there is more of an air gap with aftermarket in most places.
Thanks for posting, very informative! The headers/downpipes seem to be quite buried in there. Do you know how much time is required approx to remove and install a new pair?
@@McMedics Thank you very much, you've been very helpful. I'm pondering getting a McLaren next year and just trying to learn as much as possible. I'm in the Southeast so luckily you'd be fairly close.
Soak the nuts at the turbos with PB blaster for some hours, turn them by hand, if they don't come off easily put heat on them to get them loose. One side has a canister mounted to the frame, unbolt the mount to get it out of the way.

@@McMedics I agree. I'll probably go with Unobtainium for the Artura.

@@McMedics I don't see the exhaust you sell on your website

I plan on 4 hours, sometimes it takes more, sometimes it takes less.

@eddy91604 I travel everywhere though, worldwide
Is it safe to say that a Mclaren dealer would do a sound PPI or they are crooks like many other dealers? The dealer is in West Palm Beach, FL
Some dealers aren't bad, some are terrible. I've heard some less than desirable things about work done at that particular dealer.
Do you have any tip on putting downpipe on the 720s ? Sorry for off topic
