ngl i was watching this movie at 2am so maybe thats why i was emotional, but seeing this scene made me so sad and the scene where he confesses after hyping himself up with 20 seconds of courage- had me sobbing...its just so pure and adorable and cute aghh
I use to think Dakota Fanning was so amazing at acting (and she still is don't get me wrong) but when I started seeing Elle performing I honestly didn't expect too much from her and I don't know why (mind you, this is when she was first acting) but when I opened up the idea of giving her a chance to see what she could do....she BLEW me away and this film is just one of her amazing films. I adore this actress and I can't get enough of her films. I look forward to her future films and seeing her amazing talent to bring her characters to life.
Same, until about a year ago I didn't pay much attention to her abilities. I had seen her in this movie, Super 8 and Maleficent and had a preconceived belief she is only in films because she is very pretty and because of nepotism, that is due to having a famous big sister already established in Hollywood. Boy was I in for quite a surprise when I picked up the DVD to her movie Galveston at a store last year. The funny thing is before I watched the movie, I read the DVD cover to Galveston and learned that Elle was playing a prostitute with a dark past, I just thought to myself "really? As if the girl who played Aurora can actually do this", but when I started watching the film I was quite blown away by her performance. The same goes for her other films that I saw later on such as Mary Shelley, The Beguiled, Live by Night, Ginger & Rosa etc.
@@barbiquearea Oh yes I quite believe that's how one always must feel when it comes to following an older and very high rated actress as your sister is. So I'm sure it was like thinking "oh she is just trying to prove she is better than her older sister." But no Elle does it just because she loves what she does doing and she is AMAZING at it too. I recently saw her in Galveston and was also blown away by the range of talent she can go to like you said from a Disney Princess to a prostitute or how about also a girl turning or wanting to be a boy. Like seriously this young woman can put herself into almost any role and she will deliver. And yet she is such a humble person in general which make me just love her more.

And yeah being the younger sister of a famous child actress must have been quite hard to live up to, but then Elle seems to have a lot more range and raw talent than Dakota. I saw Dakota on The Alienist, which is a great show on Netflix by the way and I'm looking forward to season 2, but Dakota's acting wasn't really that strong to be honest. I feel that while Dakota is a good actress in her own right, she was mostly just good doing child roles, but as an adult she doesn't really stand out. Whereas Elle has proven she is a lot more versatile. Plus she strikes me as something of a hobbyist as she has learned to ice skate, skateboard and sing in preparation for her roles.
barbiquearea Exactly, and though I’m sure there was pressure having that on ones shoulders but from what I’ve heard Elle looks up to Dakota very much which is wonderful as sisters would do. But yes As far as acting range goes Elle definitely has done her research and done some tons of preparations for her roles with great success. I love her singing voice...it’s so edgy and yet elegant. Very curious if she pursues that more. But yes again Elle is proving over recent years you put a character in front of her and she’ll go above and beyond for it. 💕
@@THGForever1 It's so good that she and Dakota have a strong bond. I am so looking forward to seeing them star in the Nightingale. Also I hear Warner Bros is eyeing Elle for the role of Supergirl. I think joining the DCU would be a big feather in her cap. And personally as a fan of the comics I think she would make an awesome Kara.
This is a genious moment of acting and cinematography. This is just showing how brilliant the director and Elle Fanning are ! I absolutely love it!
