Tornado is actually 28, classic anime moment. Talking about the animation, it's that bad only because S1 was so good. There are a lot of seasonal anime that look about the same as S2 in term of quality.
Nah man, the dramatic degradation in quality of the animation from season 1 to season 2 is so harsh on the eyes, that it's distracts from the story being told. I would rather just look at Murata's manga art over season 2 visuals.
To be honest, it's not like the animation "get cheap", its not completely bad at all, but after the beatiful and awesomely animated first season, almost no one can get to that level

The animation isn't bad by itself, it just doesn't live up to the crazy good S1. The story/comedy remains good. There are some slow episodes, but it stays the same as S1 in that regard, imo.

the animation might not be as top tier as the first season, but this is still pretty good animation, it doesn't take away from the action or plot. At least it hasn't stooped to the animations of the later seasons of seven deadly sins level
I mean I think it takes away from the fun of one punch man a bit, but the story is better than season 1, so it somewhat makes up for it. And yeah compared to seven deadly sins this is godlike animation. I'm still sad about sds :(

Yeah it was ok but that's what's bad....season 1 was so good it did justice to the manga....if you've read the manga and know what's next you know this studio will never be able to do good fight scenes for season 3

Garou sucks, he's a total Mary Sue and the whole series has become a giant circle jerk about what a badass he's supposed to be. He's only worth having around for Saitama to beat up,. and that doesn't happen nearly often enough.

Saying season 2s animation is good is a stretch and a half and you know it. It doesn’t even compare. A product of giving these hard working animators literally no time to make something great. We should never settle for shitty business practices, the animators deserve better.

Yeah, I don't agree with that. Season 2 is "alright" animation-wise, but it followed the spectacular animation of season 1. So it looks even worse than it is. But there are several other factors that are lacking in season 2, which contribute to the final product coming across significantly worse: the sound design (especially of hits) is fairly unimaginative. They use the same sound effect for every barrage and it kinda sounds blown-out. The 'cinematography' (angles, editing) is also a step down, which causes fights to often be less impactful. That's not to say there aren't great moments or fights in season 2, but season 2 is most certainly more 'bad' than 'different'.

Staff on the other hand had nothing but money on their mind, and just released a cash grabby half assed project AT the expense of their animators health and well being. It is not at all about me wanting the same level of animation that Season 1 got, it’s about consuming art that I know isn’t a product of completely blatant shitty practices. Not everything will be perfect for the animators and I understand that, but there are lines to cross and standards to be held period.

However, when Saitama squares off with Sonic, she is convinced that Sonic has "S-Class Power" while she only considers Saitama to be what he is currently Ranked: Class B. Why is it that she cannot sense Saitama's Power? (There is at least one other example of this, in which a very high level Hero either cannot sense Saitama's Power, or it is simply too high to measure?)

I think Deku has lost to Tanjiro at the 2019 Anime Awards for the "Best Boy". Personally like Tanjiro much more. As far as anime is concerned, he's lost so much more and still manages to stay positive. Whhen I compare them, Deku's main struggle was being quirkless in a quirked-out world which sucks, but not as much as Tanjiro's struggle. My basis of measurement is observing how much they've lost and struggled and kept their positivity and good-naturedness. Given those metrics (subjective ofc) I give it to Tanjiro.

this season has been given the dragonball treatment. make monologues longer and use repeat frames to portray "speed". it's disappointing because you only have 12 of these main episodes then you'll have to wait for years for just this quality. it gets a pass on weekly animes but not on a series that was released 4 years apart and has no chance on catching up to the manga.

If you weren't told about the ever so slightly lower quality in animation, you wouldn't have ever noticed it. It isn't anywhere near as bad as people make it out to be.
The animation in this season isn't 'bad'. It's just that season 1 has ridiculous animation that very few shows ever have.

Season 2's animation is a slideshow in comparison to the beautiful animation of the first season. Too bad Madhouse didn't have time for One Punch Man and they ended up with this shit.

Blast only appears once in the manga not yet for the anime
this season has been given the dragonball treatment. make monologues longer and use repeat frames to portray "speed". it's disappointing because you only have 12 of these main episodes then you'll have to wait for years for just this quality. it gets a pass on weekly animes but not on a series that was released 4 years apart and has no chance on catching up to the manga.
