Hey, I've used my iPhone once during a Church service and I didn't experience any latency then but check this video out that I did last year to see what could happen on an older iPhone (I don't know about the newer models): ua-cam.com/video/71Iwsvc1Wi8/v-deo.html
You can find an adapter on Amazon that will give you the option to charge your iPhone or iPad while using a 3.5mm output.
Someone else had the same question some months ago and I had found the adapter that you need. I'll see if I can find that comment and tell you what I found.

Hey, I was editing two new videos and my MacBook Pro's hard drive failed. I'm working on fixing it but the videos are on aftertouch in the full version of Kontakt and controlling Kontakt's volume using the axiom pro's sliders. By default, aftertouch is selected on the axiom pro and you can add aftertouch in MKSensation but you must have the full version of Kontakt. It's sick and I'll try to have these videos out by October.

the velocity curve seems off cause all the samples sound around 90-127 velocity, nice playing tho

I have a ymh dgx 660 with no faders...can i still use it if i buy the faders like the korg nano control fader with a double port firewire cable connector and connect them both to my ipad or iphone?
Vatiliai Duguca Well, you should be able to connect a USB adapter to the Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter that's plugged into your iPad or iPhone (whichever you're using).
From there, you should be able to plug the keyboard into one of the USB ports coming from the USB adapter that's plugged into your iPhone or iPad and you should be able to plug the Korg Nano Control Faders into that same USB adapter and use them both.

Hey, thank you! I don't like the Yamaha MM6/MM8 I've played both, own an MM6, and it doesn't compare to the Yamaha Motif! There's a huge difference! You can tweak the sounds on the Motif and the sounds are better. For what I play, the MM6 isn't for me but it can be used as a controller to control sounds on an iPhone/iPad and in Kontakt 5/UVI Workstation on a MacBook Pro or Laptop that meets system requirements. I like some Guitars, EP's, Brass, and some other sounds on the MM6/8 but compared to all the other sounds that are out, I wouldn't use it unless it was all I had and if that was the case, I wouldn't use the Piano on it.
Great video. I tried it on my Oxygen 49 and it works! By the way, have you tried of removing the midi learn, if, let say, you assign it to the wrong sliders or another controller?

Hey, sorry I'm so late responding! For some reason I didn't receive a notification for your comment. From what I can remember off top, the best iPad is the iPad 4 and on up except the iPad Pro because of the GUI or something. I'm supposed to be doing a video on it soon. I'm gonna try to record it this week.

Been trying to do this with my Axiom pro, but unfortunately, the ipad doesn't give it enough juice to turn on. The screen just stays blue and the application doesn't detect the axiom pro. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Hey, sorry for the late reply. I would just use the power adapter to power the Axiom Pro up.
My m audio is I think in hibernation mode it would play back my motif rack sounds
I've never heard of it being in hibernation mode before 🤔

Currently the keyboard automatically maps to the first 8 lower pads. How do I get the other top 8 to map.

So in your opinion, based on today's options, what are the pros and cons of going with a workstation or a controller? I am new to all of this.
Darrell Turner Well, the CONTROLLER doesn't have any sounds in it. You'll either need a sound module, laptop, or iPad to get sound. Also you'll need an audio interface (if using a laptop with software synths) good midi cable or usb midi cable, sustain pedal and a good audio cable. There's a lot to set up when using a laptop but there are great programs with great sounds.
With the MUSIC WORKSTATION, the sounds are already in there. All you'll need is a good audio cable and sustain pedal. Before you buy a music workstation, watch some demo videos of some and go to a music store to try out some so you'll find one that sounds and feels right for you!
Darrell Turner Oh yeah, the music workstation can be used as a controller. If your laptop crashes, you'll still have sounds to play if you have audio cables hooked up to both the audio interface (for laptop) and the music workstation. The music workstation is more safe to use when playing live.
Marcellus Elder .. thanks. You should consider doing a " Plug Ins 101" video. Your a good teacher and I'm sure a lot of folks would like hearing how to get started with the alternative to spending two grand on a solid workstation. Just an idea.

What's the process to setup presets on the app?
Open up MKSensation and choose which sounds you want in your preset. Click on "Presets" when you're finished choosing the sounds you want in the preset and click on the + symbol. A box saying "New Preset" should show up. Enter a name for the preset and press the Ok button when done. Press activate whenever you want to use the preset you made and you're done!
Let me know if it worked and I'll be making a video as soon as my macbook pro is fixed. My hard drive failed.

@Marcellus how do you assign the aftertouch on the Axiom pro to make it wiggle?
It automatically works with the instruments I use that have aftertouch. Example: the Lush Zapp by pretty simple music. What sounds do you want to wiggle? Where are your sounds coming from?

Hey, what kind of midi cable do you have? I had one where you had to put the In into the Out and vice versa but I had another one where you put the Out into the Out and the In into the In. So, it might be that.
Quick Question Does This Work For An M- Audio Axiom Or Does This Just Work For The M Audio Axiom Pro?
It works on any keyboard that has MIDI In and Out or a USB port on the back.
Does the M-Audio Axiom Pro have portamento or is it only for Yamaha's
From my understanding, you can use the M-Audio Axiom Pro to control soft synth sounds that have portamento.

I have an AxiomPro just like yours and when I am using it the screen display shows that I am moving the sliders when I am not. Also the buttons look like Christmas lights going on and off at will. Do you, or anyone reading this, have any comments on this.

I don't know. It depends on what sounds you're looking for and if your phone meets the system requirements for the app to work on your phone properly. So, what sounds are you looking for? Piano, EP, Brass, Organ, Strings, Pads, Synthesizer?

Sadly, no 😞 However, there's something that you can buy to charge your iPhone while it's connected to the keyboard. I just recently purchased the Midi Puc+ It's a Bluetooth device that allows you to connect your keyboard to it and you can connect your iPhone to it using Bluetooth. I haven't received it yet but I will make a video on it when it's been delivered 😎🎹
I have an iPad 2 and I still have the mk sensation app so if I order the midi pic I have a chance at being able to charge it and use it as midi

abhishek nag Of course! As long as it's midi, it will work. Not all USB midi cables work though. I found that out when I connected my Roland USB Midi Interface UM-ONE to my iPhone 5s. I got a message saying that it wasn't compatible or something like that.

The synth and brass only work with the modulation wheel in MKSensation but I'll do my research to see how you can change it and get back with you.

Good info. How would you program the keyboard to shift the drum pads to the next group? Ex. 8 pads can be played at a time. How do you get all 16 playing at a time without all that programming. Thank you
To shift to the next group on the axiom pro, touch one of the pads and you'll see 4 different kits. Below the screen that list the 4 kits, you'll see 4 buttons. Press 1 of the 4 buttons to change kits. I don't know what you mean by getting all 16 playing at a time without all that programming. Please be more specific.
@Marcellus Strange, i tried it with my Ipad mini but when I turn on the keybord, the lcd screen only gets the blue light without menu setup showing up, nothing. So I plugged a power supply to axiom pro and it works but when I checked the midi setup in MK Sensation, there is no Axiom pro...and refresh or restart, changes nothing. How come?
How is your iPad connected to your axiom?
With two cables. First, a male/female usb connected to the keyboard. Then
a usb male/ lightning male, the lightning side is connected to my Ipad and the other side of the cable is connected to the female side of the first cable. Am I clear enough :)? You think the problem comes from the cables?

Hey, I tried getting it to remember what it had learned and it didn't work but I still have a video coming out explaining it and another one tomorrow or Friday letting you know about making presets, if you don't already know about that.
Marcellus Elder - Thanks for looking. I do use presets but they don’t help during a song. For something sold as a live gigging module they expect you to entertain the audience with 10 minutes of midi learning.

Marcellus - as you are doing another MKS video can I ask if the app always starts in Omni mode? It seems to do that for me even though I have the single channel ticked in the midi option - but I am ready to concede that it could be an error between chair and device.

Hey, I was just as amazed as you when I found out! haha I don't know if you can plug the iphone into an organ but you can plug it into a keyboard with midi in and out! Also, you can plug it up to a keyboard with USB! Technology just gets better and better through the years!
