singing in the rain took me out of piano for a while because it was too daunting... Likewise this song as I am now starting it threatens to do the same. I just feel like I can't read notes well enough to get over this hump. I'm really good at practicing the song over and over once I know it front to back, or even close to front to back.
Any tips with this if you still check these comments?

Reading music is a skill just like reading words is. It takes practice. I suggest a lot of sight reading, but make sure you are reading music music easier than where you are so you can do it without a lot of hesitations and mistakes. In time, you will get better at reading music and this will help you with your music studies where you are at now.

This piece is in 3 books so far. The Basic Adult book is page 102, this book is 150, and the Self-Teaching Adult book is page 188. And all three videos are a little different.

Suggestion: play the entire piece first then break it down with instruction. Great tutorials, thank you.
