- Robert Bly teaches a specific aspect of poetry to a group of men at the 2008 Minnesota Men's Conference through some of the poetry written by Hafez and William Stafford. Robert Bly points out in this discussion that poetry such as that written by Hafez was created at a time before publishing was invented and that early works had to be memorized by their cultures for hundreds of years or longer. Robert Bly suggests that memorizing poetry is a way to truly reach the soul of the poem and self.
Beautiful. He managed to keep the sweetness of Hafez's Ghazal in his English version. I know it's 7 years, but thanks for uploading this. 🇮🇷❤🙏
wow ! I've read the original Persian text like a thousand times but this english version was somehow newer & more effective !
This page is amazing.. I can't say the wonder it has shown me!! I've grown new eyes by frequenting it! A huge Soul thank you💖🌞💙
Enough?! What a word - you never hear it in this part of the world. It is subversive blasphemy! Bless you, Robert Bly.

Rumi > Hafez ... They were Muslims btw, not Zoroastrians. Sunnis too, not Shias. Modern Iran is Shia.

Yo Robert bly is the shit!
Javad Molaei thank you very much
