Good to see you recommending Rab and Montane in your video, two really high quality British brands. Vented pants (trousers) are a huge advantage especially when you've got merino baselayers on, and for me, I don't do down jackets, only synthetic as Britain is so variable and often damp.
Thanks for the vid! I plan to do my first mountaineering experience this year. I was totally lost with what you have to wear and etc. This vid helped out a ton!
$3000.00 later I'm ready to go mountaineering!
You can get life and funeral insurance for less than that
🥲
Not quite ! "Clothing does not, a mountaineer, make."
Lmfaooo facts
This a solid video and everything is explained it good detail. Thank you for this, this is impressive for such a short video!

I totally agree its to wet here for down, I realised after 2 years of having a Rab electron down jacket.

I died from hypothermia. This is good advice !
What would you recommend for climbing mont blanc in summer
Really good video - thanks
What about hard-shell trousers? Do you put one on the soft-shell?
Great advice
Nice video 👍
Would you recommend the Arc’teryx Beta AR Jacket or Alpha AR Jacket for mountaineering ?
Why 3 pieces up top, but only 2 down bottom? As above so below? Maybe waterproof down bottom?
Where is the windshell/softshell jacket?
Very cool video. I totally liked it but If it could have been in bit detail... jargon you used , not everyone knows
how to choose mid layer fleece pants
I have a question about “liner” sock ?
So u advice 2 socks layers ?
Liner socks are very very thin. 2 pairs of regular socks would be probably be too thick.
The liner sock is more about preventing blisters
Great advice. Knowing how to dress is incredibly important.
Sooo, I guess the Irish fishing sweater / Pea Coat combo is a bad idea.
lol the ice axe at 3:12 is not properly strapped to that pack
What was the name of the pants again??
Soft shell pants
@@climbingcue thx
🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

4 items of clothing doesn't translate to 4 layers!
So expensive everything...
