I’m considering having a fleur de lis tummy tuck. One of my worries are “bunny ears” on the hips post surgery. Have you had this problem happen to you on any of the surgeries you have done? If so, how easy or hard is that to fix?
Hi, it has been a year since my tummy tuck and my stomach is completely flat when I lie down or hold it in while standing. But when I bend over or relax, it still pokes out ): It also jiggles quite a bit when I walk/run etc. I eat healthy and workout every day. Hope you can give a little closure unless I will probably need to contact my surgeon for further information!
Can you comment on a mini tummy tuck for c section ledge but with “ skin tightening “ of upper tummy( above belly button)? Does mini include any muscle repair below the belly button? Would skin tightening ( pulling down skin and adjusting belly button placement but without muscle repair be a satisfactory solution vs full tummy tuck on a slim person ?
Hi Barbara, Everyone is different and will have different results which is why it is always best to come in for a proper assessment. In general, a mini tummy tuck focuses on the loose skin in the lower abdomen and muscle repair can be done if it is needed in the lower abdomen. A full tummy tuck will see more contour of the upper abdomen.
Hi Caretta, Past techniques were to not do this however with modern techniques we are able to do Vaser Liposuction at the same time as a tummy tuck procedure. I have seen great results using this.

I did have a full tummy tuck and i still have an entire tummy of loose skin. I'll prob have to have lipo and then another tuck afterwards. I see this whole ordeal taking 2 years 😩
I haven’t seen you images or know the backgrounds however in general there should be no loose skin after an Abdominoplasty. There may be several reasons why you have this. One of these may be the technical that was used. Or the choice of operation. For example doing a mini instead of a full Abdominoplasty. Or full Abdominoplasty instead of a Fleur de lis Abdominoplasty Dr Beldholm
Hello Dr beldholm ! My name thida I got tummy tuck 8yr a go .. but I got robotics surgery but be come Dr have to cut from my navel straight down it been 2yr now...I feel like my muscles saperd again

@Butterfly if it is back open its because it was poorly done...i have done mine last year but ended up with dog ears now my surgeon is charging me an extra £1000 to fix it ....its a joke

What about uneven scars...one side is covered w bikini and the other is just hanging out saying “””Hay!!!!She had tummy tuck.... was very irritated seeing I was under the impression it would be completely covered by my underwear/bikini! I still love my flat stomach but the scar is very bothersome 😔
I am sorry to hear of your disappointment in your result, I would recommend you talk to your surgeon about this. Scars do take time to mature and fade - around 12 months. Depending on the timeframe of the surgery it can be possible to revise the scar and change the position by 3-5cms. I hope this information has been helpful!
