ShabinLife UA-cam Channel:
Welcome to the ShabinLife channel here on UA-cam!
We’re Dayna & David and we're excited to share our homestead journey with you. We currently own a home on a 1/4 acre in a suburb of Pennsylvania & have been trying to maximize usage of our small plot to it’s fullest potential. In 2016, after dreaming for years of owning enough land to live a more simple and sustainable, self sufficient lifestyle, we acquired 18 Acres & began the journey of building our future homestead! Our land is quite far from where we currently reside which limits our trips to the property to once a month or so. For the time being we post new videos (or at least try, lol) once a month with updates on how things are moving forward, our pits and peaks as well as sharing all the priceless info we’ve learned from the amazing channels we subscribe to here on UA-cam. Please join us on our ShabinLife adventure as we continue Living Simple & Loving Nature.

Nice job and sharing details...Thanks! Can't believe some of your vids don't have more views!!!
No problem at all & thanks for the message, greatly appreciated! It certainly would be nice to see a few more views, but it's all good. As long as you guys enjoy them, that's all that matters... who knows, maybe I'll even finish the house & get to live in it soon, lol!
Thank you for the inspirational video sir
Great video ,thanks , nice neat job I’m building a similar house up on stilts in Florida myself , keep up the good word
You sold me on the manifold. Fantastic video!
Well done on the water lines
Wow well done your smashing it now x
Thanks for the shout out👌👌
Incredible the progress your making. Great attention to details. Look forward to next video!
Thanks for the video, I'm working on building a cabin in Pennsylvania too. I'm curious did you leave any provision for winterizing the system? My current plan is to tee in before everything with a 12v rv pump so I can pump antifreeze through the whole system if necessary. Wondered if you had any other ideas?
Thanks for watching! I didn't do anything for winterizing since the waterline is insulated & the crawlspace plumbing is also all insulated. I did install a drain line in the crawlspace (from the cistern to the inside plumbing) just in case I needed to flush the underground line. I have winterized RVs before & it definitely works to backflush the system with antifreeze.
👋 Greeting. Just a few notes.
First, like your work,💪 and your videos, 📹.
Second, to protect your water, 💧pump; have a sediment filter before the pump. It will make the pump run smoothly & last longer.
Third, to drain water from the system & just in case need to change water pump. A third shut-off valve, at the bottom, (water coming from outside), before pump shut-off valve.
Also, will help you to drain water from your internal system for any repair.
Thank you & keep it up.
Sincerely,
😎Mr. Villalba, 🇵🇷
Thanks for checking out the channel & for the suggestions Mr. V., much appreciated. I will definitely have another sediment filter at the cistern, before the pump, in our mechanical bldg. (just not built yet, lol).
Hi, great videos thank you. Can you tell me what's the large white tank under the pump for? Also what about pressure gauges after the filters to indicate blockages.
Hey Peter, the white tank is a small pressure tank for the shallow well pump. Good thought on pressure gauges, definitely keep that in mind.
