How do I make toasted sesame oil? I have a top loading toaster, but it made a huge amount of smoke when I poured in the sesame oil. Is there another way?

Christine SugarMagic I've checked around and t seems you simply can't toast sesame oil in a top loading toaster; you need the front loading type. I friend said that I might be able to use an oven set to broil.

I did this for dinner tonight with a few alterations, pork mince instead of chicken, vegetable oil instead of toasted sesame oil (just couldn't find any of that in my pantry), white whine vinegar instead of rice wine vinegar. However my family wolfed the lot down and everyone commented on how nice it was. Definitely worth a go!
