@@householdhandyman4025 I got my car started and now the water pump needs to be replaced. Do you have a video on that? 😂 I am so thankful I learned how to fix planes and cars when I was enlisted and there’s people who make videos like you. This is not how I want to spend my weekends!
D*mn Dude! - Thanks! - I've been eye balling mine for two days wondering how I was going to tackle this job, but I'm going to do it this afternoon now after seeing this video!
I ended up having to cut the bolt with a small hacksaw. It was a half inch to big. It was bigger than it needed to be anyway. Almost like Chrysler planned it that way. Im sure several people decided to let a mechanic fix the alternator after they watched Some other videos out thier. The video of the guys raising the motor a inch to get it out Would have deterred me for sure if i watched it first. But i already bought the alternator, belt, coolant, tensioner. Had the wheel off, all the lower panels out ectectect lol I would have cut it off completely if nessicary. Then drove to Detroit to find a engineer and stick That bolt right up...
Im cooling myself down and was going to cut the bolt in half after my rest because it's longer than it needs to be. But now after seeing your vid ill skip it if i can because I've also wasted enough time on this. I want to slap a Chrysler engineer so hard. Heaven forbid they run a computer simulator to see if they have enough room.
Dude! Thank you so much…they want just north of 1,400 to repair this for me. You saved me so much!
@@Shy-jp5dh glad this video helped!

5 Star vid. I live in Connecticut and can't find anyone that will do it for less than $1,400. One guy wanted 1700!
Thanks for the help man . Big difference. But still have to finagle the alternator out . ITS TIGHT! 😂✌️🤙
@JosephD.SandovalII Glad I could be of assistance!

@@juancarrera6604 no problem!
The coolant needs to be drained just for the belt to be replaced?
It sure does! Lol
