This is incredibly helpful! I have a voice audition coming up in which I have to sing a Blues scale and I really can't play the piano so this is a life saver
Im 16 and been singing without training since i can remember. Im now having lessons once a week and shes been teaching me scales etc, its quiet easy really but can be difficult all you need really is have a paitent teacher lol. i'd recomend learning coz it really improves your skills. Hope this helps. x
I have a theory that the piano in itself, as well as the standard guitar tuning with the odd major third between the B and G string makes understanding music theory harder that it ought to be. The piano having black keys instead of of only white keys makes it easy to play in the key of C, but the irregularities should make understanding scales harder. I think teaching someone music theory with an instrument with only perfect fourths would be optimal for understanding.
i have no music background, all this theory looks very intimidating. i've been playing the guitar for 7 years, i'm thinking of learning music theory. is it very hard? i looks very complicated

Cool thanks to teach in this way ;)
Great video, what where the chords you used behind the scales please?
This is a great excercise to do before a performance! Do you have anything just for true bass singers???

i agree - a tad slower tempo would be good. it's hard to get the first note of the new scale when it goes up. duh, sorry.
