Can we buy US model from Dubai and bring it back to India?
While purchasing US Model in Dubai can we open the seal and switch on the phone to check there's no problem with phone because we cannot go back there in case of any defect.

Yes even I had similar kind of experience. Luckily in Kolkata some of the apple service centres are good but majority are just sadak chaps. They have very low knowledge. Whenever I get into some trouble I switch on my VPN and take help of US customer care. In India they are mostly wasting your time by being extra polite. Once while chatting to an Indian Agent... I had to tell him.. dude your knowledge is too less... I know more than you!!

@@jabezsanjay4323 Bro I got my iPhone 14PM finally. My uncle activated the phone in usa itself so that it doesn’t appear as a new phone during customs checks. After coming to India he reset the device and gave it to me. Then I went ahead with the set up process.

They checked my phone’s serial number and said that it’s covered and asked me to bring to Apple service centre. However the issue didn’t persist for long and I didn’t have to go

There are no Apple stores in Indian .....only apple online store is there .....others are apple resalers .... they naturally try to take you for a spin if you are stuck with a faulty device you just purchased.

He can keep the device on or off, no problem either way. And the International warranty is linked to the device, you can check it in the settings app, so even if there’s no bill, it’s all good 😊

1) Firstly there is ABSOLUTELY NO Apple Store in India, she may have bought from an authorised reseller (WHICH IS NOT AN APPLE STORE) who refused to replace her phone. It happens a lot here, even in US if you buy in Walmart or BestBuy, in which case you will be needed to contact Apple Support.
2) Secondly no matter which Apple Care or Support you contact whether it's India or US, there is ABSOLUTELY NO difference in the way they speak and help you. There is no question of Apple Support better in US than India.
3) There is ABSOLUTELY NO difference in terms of Quality whether you buy the product in India or in the US. All iPhones are designed in California, manufactured and assembled in China/India/few other countries.

@@ManjitSingh-zl1yz hey! You can get it from US. Tell your friend to login with their apple id and activate it and bring it in hand as their personal phone. So there will be no customs issue. Once phone is here, you can simply reset the phone and use it as a new phone with your apple id.

It's a limited warranty according to TnC. iPhone, iPad, Homepod etc are limited to country they are purchased in. MacBook Pro has a Global policy.
